So tired of highly rated "smart plugs" failing after 2 days or 2 months or not connecting at all. Have bought 4 different brands now. Makes me suspicious of the origin of the glowing comments. Decided to go with a proven reliable brand, Lutron. At the least it is easy to get intelligent tech support with minimal wait time. Should arrive in 2 days.

Do these daily inspections waste more time than they save for breakdowns? For instance, how many times have they caught a critical problem that saved more time than it takes for an entire crew to do daily inspections? It makes me think, is it more economical and does it make more sense to simply do a weekly inspection? Or just monthly? For instance most people who do normal maintenance on cars (oil chnages, tire rotations, 30k,60k etc services) are not daily inspecting a vehicle, yet because they do regular maintenence they have a very low risk of a random breakdown. Breakdowns may also occur for unrelated items that someone may not see or inspect, such as the internals of an engine. So these people may still suffer from a breakdown even though they did inspections. From my perspective, it seem like waste.

It's odd that Eve chose to place the HomeKit scan code on the side of the unit; for anyone to copy/scan.

I put my checklists on rulers. The ruler has labels on it with the things to be done. Then they are covered in tape so that I can check them off with a wipeboard pen. One ruler can hold about 24 items to be done. The ruler itself becomes like a mini clipboard. Easy to carry, can have many, and they bloody work.

My nvr just randomly stops recording. Do you think swapping out the hard drive will cure this? I have tried reformatting the original hard drive but it still stops recording. Sometimes it only lasts a couple of hours, sometimes for a couple days.

Step 1 you say is click black button in top corner. I don’t see a black button. What are you referring to? It’s tough when you are stymied by Step 1! Finally realized what the button was. Clicked it and it lit up. But the outlet will not connect to the HomeKit app. Submitted a ticket to Eve.

can u help me please i just got this and went through instructions manual and watched videos and i can see its connected to my iphone in home and eve app. the eve app seems clear and i see its connected. ive been to settings and selected notifications on. i go to home app and home settings and dont see anything about notifications. i can change name and background picture and scene and all that crap. its a door and window sensor ffs. then i seen a bit where i have to buy the pro version subscription. do i need that to get notifications to my iphone when im not home please answer that. edit: i dont have a hub yet either. also u say its fast as scanning QR code as when every time i tried it took a while. and i also see lag in opening and closing seeing on my phone in the apps.

The hard drive that came in the nvr I have won't reformat. I had the device for a few months then once the hard drive hit capacity it refused to format.. What should I do?

Does it support 12tb? I thought they recommend less ?
