who can advise? How to find a musette sound in Roland FR 1x like in this video from 0.38? There is no such sound in my fr 1x. they are so dull, artificial. I’m using a rechargeable power bank designed for laptops. It is set to 12v, I’ve had the same power bank for 10 years and I can still get a good 18-24 hours on a full charge. It fits nicely behind the treble keyboard attaches with Velcro and is covered by the bellows protector. Works great for my fr-3s and my fr-3x I see no reason it shouldn’t work for my fr-4x when I eventually purchase one. I had to reverse the wiring for the 3x as it’s a different polarity, and I drilled a hole through the battery compartment cover to run out a cable to the power bank.

sarebbe perfetta se avesse i tasti in legno silenziosi. ho la fr5 dal lontano 2006 e mi diverto ancora, ma avrei voluto la tastiera silenziosa e dal tocco più reale. ho avuto problemi con la pedaliera che si è bruciata una volta, con i jack di uscita e con il cavo di alimentazione che si logora e si attorciglia. i nuovi modelli saranno migliori sicuramente.

How about the bass buttons? Roland provide additional concave and textured caps. They are tricky to remove but virtually impossible to insert. Any tips, please?

I bought the 8x Dallape version of this 10 years ago and it has been trouble free and a blast to play. I play about 2-3 hours a day. only issue is that for some it is heavier than what they are used to. I am 76 years old and in good shape but have no problem playing it. My secret is I don't stand when playing generally. Sitting it is no problem. In fact my prized acoustic Vignoni Fisart convert free bass with 5 sets of treble reeds and dual tone chamber weighs 31.5# so I am used to heavy accordions. I have also played the EVO. IT is basically a 8X with the electronics sourced from Roland but with some features left out. The EVO has a nice case and keyboard but the 8x keyboard is also very good and fast. i prefer the Roland version as it has more features than EVO. I also do not like the trouble you have to go through to replace the batteries on the EVO. I need to have ability to do a fast battery change that is easy on the Roland. I was hoping the EVO would be lighter but it is nearly the same weight sadly. There are some really great sources of USERPROGRAMS available in the after market plus once you have it for a while you will create even more. I love acoustic accordion but digital is so much fun to play and my audiences love it. If you mostly play standing the 4x is a good choice although I wish the piano version had a full length keyboard rather than the shortened one. I don't think that would be an issue if you are a chromatic keyboard player though. I also have my Roland setup exactly like my acoustic that has B system free bass. I even assigned the register swtiches when playing straight accordion to the same assignments as my acoustic accordion.
