Removal and replacement of the early Sherwood water pump impeller on my 5411 diesel engine in my Catalina 27 sailboat
so the light inside the dryer would come on and the panel had power/lights?
My dryer appears on the display the F which means and does not turn on?
what is the part number for the other fuse
SUPER HELPFUL!! Thanks!!
You're welcome!
On mine half the lights come on and half of the buttons are responsive the rest are not.
Thanks for posting. I appreciated it. "I don’t know what this part is, but it's working "😅
Great job! Helpful information
This is an old video but in the event that the original poster reads this...Thank You! An informative video that is clearly presented and I didn't have to sit through 6 or 8 minutes of hearing about the family dog and last summer's trip to Disneyland...
Thank you for the video
Anyone knows where I can find the fuse? I look all over Amazon and can’t find it
Why didn't you drain the fluid first?
Thanks !
Thank you sir I just fixed dryer! Much appreciated 😊
I can't seem to find the link to the disassembly video
I fixed it, thanks for alerting me to this
Where is the link to the video?
I fixed it, thanks
Probably the best how to video I’ve ever seen. Good production, narrative, information, part numbers, etc. This is amazing.😊
Disassemble vudeo is for a h3 not a h2
Where is the link on not having to take it all apart to access that
Yeaaa I'll call someone...😩
Thank you! I tried it and it worked. Can I buy you a coffee?
Thank you, I appreciate that, but I'm not on that app. Mark

Thanks for sharing this info, and for doing so clearly and thoroughly. The learning process was enjoyable, and it helped my situation.
Thanks so much for this. Question - my washer & dryer are stacked in a cubby wall in a tiny bathroom (the builders built this house around the washer & dryer you'd think 🤨). That said, without removing my door & sink & the whole bathroom, I can't easily move & unplug the dryer. I have turned off the breaker & worked on it before but never replaced a fuse. Is it okay to flip the breaker & replace this fuse? It's been off for 2 days.
sorry for the delay, but if you turn off the correct breaker, you're good, double check that.
Crazy part on the thermistor the resistance don’t get anything, ohms I get a reading
How do you disassemble the dryer. *thats* what I'm here for.
It's important to make sure the gasket is oriented properly as it's flatter along the bottom side. If a new gasket leaks, it's probably the wrong way up.
Thank you !!!!!
You're welcome
Thanks, just replaced mine today, for some reason they had 2 gaskets, um cray cray
What would you do if the fuses worked and the power button doesn't work and the light wont turn on when the door is open.. In other words, I am getting nothing, what should I check?
I'm not exactly sure of your problem but there are several videos on how to replace the electronic control board, I'll bet that's your problem.
Should make sure the breaker to the dryer didn’t get tripped, also.
Ok so where is the link for the disassembly?

Nicely done video...clear and no extra stuff. Thanks!
your welcome!

You need to address WHY the thermal fuse blew. Otherwise, it will just fail again. You probably have a venting issue. Just changing the thermal fuse really is a short-term stop gap. The dryer overheated to the point the thermal fuse blew, so the question is: why did that happen?
That's a good point. I have had my vent cleaned recently by a professional.
I like it when you say the Thermistor word. Hehehe. Thanks for the help. I will try to fix and maybe I can save a $1200.
Thank you for your video!! While my issue was a start button failure, testing the thermal fuse and thermistor as well as the heating elements helped me eliminate other potential causes. My issue required replacing the control panel. Purchased from Parts Simple. I also vacuumed the dryer out.
Misleading instructions tutorial got me divorced.
Finally, yesterday I replaces my Yanmar FCW Pump guided by your video that gives me confidence in tackling my leaking pump. I can't Thank you enough! :D
Thank you for a very informative video on FCW Pump replacement. This is exactly what I need to do for my Yanmar engine that leaks coolant.
Just replaced the heat element. Does it matter on the orientation of the wires that plug into the heating element? I can’t remember which one went on top of bottom. Also is the burning smell normal on a new heating element?
Smell should only be first few hours.. Is vent clean
How tight do you make the bolts for the waterpump?
So... dryers essentially have two thermal fuses.. damn that's confusing.
You could always replace both fuses, they're not expensive, that is if you don't have a multimeter. Why not?
@@marcobowow I should have looked at more videos apparently. The dryer lights up when plugged in, it just won't start. You can hear a clicking noise when it's trying to start. That's it though, it does nothing else. Do you think this is what's wrong with it? I should have looked at more video's. This looks to be the one most similar to mine. I don't have that tool, thought I'd gotten the right fuse. Should have ordered them all, or gotten a multimeter I guess.
@@warlockmagic3416 - in my case, when it clicked and then shut off, it was a broken belt. The dryer senses that the drum isn't turning and shuts back off. It's not too hard to replace, and not too expensive. I'm pretty sure there's a few videos on it on YT.
Where the disassembly link?
Here you go: ua-cam.com/video/APlWrIcP94g/v-deo.html
@@marcobowow thanks
I Don't see the link
YOu said you didn't actually have to take it apart to do this fix. Is that true? Can I fix without complete disassembly?
Yeah, just take the bottom panel off and you can get in there. Just remove a few screws. It's cramped, but you can do it.
This video is on another level and puts all other videos behind by far this demonstration should be liked by millions thanks for the outstanding work.
I just removed the two 1/4" head screws on the bottom access panel. Once that panel is removed I used a 1/4" wrench to loosen the screw holding the thermal fuse. I removed the wires with the help of needle nose pliers........ and it was bad. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the input. I completed the job with just a few issues you did not encounter.
Hello, How are you able to tell which pump port is the raw water inlet and which is the raw water outlet outlet? Thanks.
As you are facing the pump, the port on left is outlet, the port on the right is inlet. One pushes, one sucks and the impeller turns clockwise.
Also, if you are replacing your pump, put everything back the way you took it off and you'll be safe.
Do you have any videos on bleeding air from the 5411 engine?
There isn't a heat exchanger on the 5411, so I don't think you have anything to bleed. The engine isn't a closed system like some of the later models such as the M2-12 which I now own. I haven't owned the 5411 for years, so I'm not sure. You can watch another video I made where I do show bleeding the engine. The bleeding is near the end. ua-cam.com/video/M5EgubfmDEQ/v-deo.html
Thank you. Super helpful to me
I have kenmore HE 5 i have all the sensors that yopu tell to check i did buy a thermistor and i checked everything heating coil everything else checked good runs just no heat
