40 years ago I would go down the local and often make new friends. Sadly I now only go to the pub to meet up with old friends and do most of my imbibing at home. Somehow it needs to be much more affordable to get down to the local, either by reducing taxes on pub served beer or increasing the price of supermarket alcohol. I remember taking a jug down to the pub window for my dad, cos that used to be the cheapest way to get beer. 🍺

Enjoying your channel as I recently lost my mum and I cared for her aggressive stage four liver cancer 😢 until she passed and she was originally from Newcastle as was my funny three aunts and grandad it gives me comfort to hear a accent that reminds me of them all and my dad is in care home with dementia that I visit often So my Allotment is my happy place and the escape from losing a parent and gradually loosing my dad but I don’t have a lot of free time I tried utube channel but not techie and realise alot of work and time goes into doing videos so Thankyou I enjoy your channel a lot

Allotment Jack is thanfull for your kind help even if he dont knows who did him so much good.❤ the find of the nenure is a great thing because it was all for free. The allotment becomes better and better. It is beautifull now and will look perfect in spring with the flowers.🍺

Brilliant bit of timber work there mate. Are you use all hand tools or battery powered kit? I like to use hand tools down the yard to show the kids it's not all about easy work haha but I do have a generator with 110 tools

Lovely fire. Those jacketed potatoes take me back to my childhood as well. Cleaning up all the old debris around my Grandma's and burning it. Getting in new wood for her wood pile. Stacking wood. Plucking chickens, frying cracklin, picking up pecans, and shelling butterbeans and field peas.

As a nurse of many many years, looking after loved ones with Dementia takes a very special kind of person ❤. You both are very special people. Xxx
