Be aware that many MSGEQ7 chips are fake. (~Cough~ AliExpress) Probably 555 timers with the original markings ground off and re-printed as MSGEQ7s. I've just bought 5 for €5, but haven't tested them yet. My hopes are not high. Mouser, Sparkfun etc are probably real, but cost more.

Where does the 7-band graphic display data come from ? Is it "SAOUT" from the TDA, then sampled by the MCP3008 A2D, and the data read by the PIC ?

@leilanielectronics It wouldn't be too hard to have a 2x 7-band displays, 1 left, 1 right. The MCP3008 has enough channels to read 2 MSGEQ7s, or the PIC could sample them itself. A 10-LED bar doesn't need higher bit accuracy than the PIC's internal A2D can handle, and the AS1115 (or MAX7219) could drive 7x 8-LED bars. (7x 9-LEDs if you want to write code to distribute 63 LEDs across an 8x8 matrix.) ICs like the HT16K33 can drive 16x8 LEDs, easily enough for 7x 10-LED bars.

Nice clock/displays, how are you limiting the segment current? Normally there is a pile of resistors to do this, or you use a display driver with programmable current levels. I tried looking for these displays online and ended up at Digikey, unfortunately at $23.48 each that kind of kills it for me, hopefully I can find a better price elsewhere. As for the poor colour rendition on your camera, your overloading the poor sensor, you need to attenuate it heaps. as a quick and crude, put a few sheets of copy paper over them, yes you'll lose heaps of resolution/sharpness, but hopefully the colour will be way better in the video.
