I have owned 4 Champs now. The 206 I just bought is probably my forever boat. If you have questions theres a couple of good fb groups and lots of knowledge.

Tough trip man, hail and a bass boat are no fun. That kind of weather AND a spun hub, that’s next level.

Fellow 206 owner here. My only complaints is the cooler step could have been pushed further closer to consoles. I've taken that death step a few times setting the hook. 😂. If you're not worried about top speed and fish 2-3 people with a lot of tackle try a fury 4 24p. This prop makes the boat feel lighter, great hole shot, and grip. I'm still struggling to setup mines with too much stuff at the bow and lithiums, no bow lift. Hydraulic JP coming this winter then worked prop for lift. Have fun on your 206.

Down here is houston the top water bite stays around a lot longer. I just picked one of these up and DAMN! Getting big hits and landing big Large Mouth nearly every cast. I haven't seen any other guys out here using it and the action/noise sets this thing apart and the bass seem to love it
