Love-A-Lot Pink Hydrangea in Standard Form
Переглядів 20428 днів тому
The Love-A-Lot Pink Hydrangea is known for being really sturdy and not drooping over in rain. That really shows in this standard form. Also, check out Up North Garden w/Corey ua-cam.com/video/XJPBofR7peA/v-deo.htmlsi=MSSLZgFkVGV6xrsZ where he talks about the Love-A-Lot Pink hydrangea. That is where I first heard about it! @TheGardenMouse #garden #zone6bgarden #gardeninspiration #flowers #thegar...

Your coleus are amazing! I've been very impressed with my coleus as well, especially El Brighto (PW). Your Colourblaze Velveteen is absolutely stunning. Let's hope we can enjoy them for a while longer.
You did really have a wonderful summer with all of your flowers and plants! Everything is gorgeous. It’s hard to pick a favorite! I love the side garden a lot, the walkway lined in the lemon coral sedum is stunning and then you look at all the beautiful hydrangeas and coleus.
Hello, what type of tie material are you using? There are so many on Amazon, and some of them look so thick that they look like they would slide right down... Thanks for the tip!
🌸
Did the Clematis flower this year?
I will be doing this with my bulbs. I too highly recommend 👌
WAIT...WHAT...there is a whole playlist!!! This is so 🔥.
Haha.... This made me LOL!
I will be using this grow bag idea so much. The plants you have in the background look so happy too.
I love using grow bags!!!
Awesome idea, to put the hydrangea in a grow bag. I never knew I needed this. Thanks for sharing!
She says go down 6 inches, then goes down 3 LOL Also, take the top that you cut and just plant it to the soil, in no time it will be a nice plant.
Which gloves do you wear? They appear to fit your hands well and I’m up for a new glove.
I love these little trees. They sure will look pretty with a little snow on them this winter.
I want one so bad but I have never seen even the bush in my area
I believe this variety is new this year, so keep your eyes out! 🙂
Short and sweet video on coleus pinching. Your close-up shots were awesome! Thanks
My hydrangea has blossomed every year but this year… nothing ?! The plant is beautiful green but not one flower. How and what do I need do to help it bloom next summer?!
That turned out so pretty. That’s exciting to think the kale, pansies and asters can go into Christmas !
I’m looking forward to seeing if you do your front door urn planters and what! No pressure, heeHee!
I really love the combination and those plants separately! You can see how this planter will be beautiful right throughThanksgiving!
All your planters are looking gorgeous!
Thank you!
When you say you’re keeping the cuttings in the shed over winter, is your shed - 1. Heated, 2. Windowless?
The shed is unheated. It does have two small windows, but those have blinds pulled down. Because they are dormant, it is fine to put them in a dark area, so it is fine to put them in a windowless shed. The most important thing is that it is unheated. Hydrangea need a period of cold. Hope that helps!
Love a gardener with a kitty 😻.
Love your cat in your profile picture!
That was so worth it and they didn’t just squeak by! They’re off to a flying start!
I wish I had done more...but there is always next year!
Thanks for the video! I really appreciate it.
That’s pretty❤. It almost looked like a wreath when you turned it! I stopped drinking my coffee when I saw that Artemisia!
almost reDy fr the bondsi pot!!
I haven't tried any bonsai, yet.... Is it difficult?
so beautiful YASSS QUEEN 💕💕💕
Thank you!!
Nice to see you taking chances on video. Fun to see you problem solve. You need to buy a Hori Hori knife they come in handy for gardening and splitting plants up. My petunias in my pots just could not handle the Florida heat in August so I had to cut them out like you did this plant
Yes, I will put one on my Christmas list....and a Gorilla cart! Even here, the petunias don't like mid-summer, but they perk up for a few weeks now!
Omigosh, the joys of gardening!
Yep!!
Hi dear friend Doing good job 👍💯 Stay blessed and connected 💕🙏😘😽❤️💖
Thanks!
Wonderful explanation, great presentation. Very informative 👏 ❤
Thanks!
I’d have never thought about growing moss in my jungle garden. I guess it needs a lot of shade & moisture. Think it will look good in the style shade garden you are establishing. Nice job
Thank you! Do you have moss that hangs in the trees in Florida?
I’m happy to see you ordered more moss! You love it so much, it will be very heartwarming to see it next spring! Are you grouping it closer together this time? I think that will help it overall. I’m sure there are some lovely plants that will like damper roots like Japanese ferns comes to mind right away.
Yes, this time I put in two clumps. I think the ferns are a great idea....Haha...an excuse to get more plants!
I learned that about planting in pots from Laura at Garden Answer❤❤❤
I love the planters she does!
The deer love the blooms, especially yellow.
We are lucky to have an 8 foot fence around our back yard. I've heard they can eat them all!
Just curious how much sun the mandevilla pots got in first set of pictures. Great job with these pots all around amazing how fast they can take off and grow
The first set of pots get sun from about 10-3 each day. Probably the most out of the mandevilla I have. I'm kind of surprised they aren't doing better!
Beautiful
Thank you!
I found you through the TN Nursery video of you planting the moss - do you have another video of how it is looking now? I just ordered 3 types of moss to plant in a new area in my garden I am doing over in Massachusetts. Hopefully it takes before winter!
I have more moss arriving from TN Nursery anytime and plan an update video for next week....So stay tuned! (It is looking good!)
Moss update is posted now: ua-cam.com/video/Qr74vOuV1Mg/v-deo.html
Beautiful 😍
Thank you!
This summer has been pretty challenging heat wise but it’s been the quiet part if the season and soon it will be the beautiful autumn season and I sure love seeing the kale and Dichondra with Heliotrope!
Yes, and now it is really dry. So weird after a wet start to the season!
You are such an excellent gardener! Wow, I can’t believe how beautiful that standard is going to be! Wow!so the standard isn’t going to get as big as a usual Hydrangea tree? The PeeGee I guess is the name. They grow sort of huge here in southeastern PA so I was a little concerned. But that size looks perfect. You can even trim the branch tops from the deck !
Yes, this type will stay small, which is good for my small yard!
So pretty to look at from the inside too! Do you treat all hydrangeas with copper? I just planted a Popstar hydrangea. ☔️🦋
Popstar is very pretty! I don't have that one....yet! I usually only treat the After Midnight hydrangeas. The rest don't seem to get it.
Did it take?
Yes, it did, and I have ordered more that will be here end of the week. I'll be doing an update video, then!
Inspiring video. Gives me hope for my tired summer garden
I hear you... everything looks like it needs a little pick me up, now!
Very informative " Many Thanks "
Love the video. Watching you re- invent the planter gives me ideas for mine. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. It provides much needed help for me and my garden.
Thank you for the feedback...It means a lot!
I notice that your side garden seem to be about four or five feet deep from the side of your house. Are your Hydrangeas too close to the house?
Hi! I suppose it depends on the type of hydrangea you are planting. All of these are dwarf varieties that don't get more than 3-4 feet wide. The root system of the hydrangea is very shallow (about a foot) and will go out as wide as the branches on top, so this is planty of space for them.
I’m excited for you! I have 2 as shrubs and the panicles are humongous, Despite them being so big they never flop! This is my first time seeing a standard form, I can’t wait to see how it performs in ground for its first year.
So far so good.... It is still alive and looks almost identical to when I planted it....Yay!
Will I effect the tuber growth if i don't prune sweet potato? I'm really just growing for the tubers/nutrients so it doesn't have to be pretty lol. It's my first year so I'm still learning the basics. I had to trim my cantaloupe due to PM and wow! The fruit have really started to take off since. My follow up question is, how do I know when I've cut enough back vs too much pruning? I don't want to slow growth, I want to promote!
I love the cool blue and purple tones together - thank you for some great ideas. The two large planters behind you are stunning!
Thank you! I love how those big planters came out, too!!
“Wicked” strong. Your New Englander is showing lol. What size grow bag are you using?
