New Zealand
Приєднався 22 лип 2022
Welcome to my channel. I live in the South Island of NZ and enjoy trying to get out and about when I am not at work.
Join me and my family on some trips when we go Hiking, Camping, Fishing, Hunting Spearfishing, Foraging, or just hanging out in the bush.
We like to use some basic Bushcraft skills and enjoy Tarp Camping, sleeping in a Hammock etc.
If we catch something, you might see us processing our catch, and cooking some yummy treats.
I hope you enjoy my videos, feel free to provide feedback or request a video of something you would like to see

Can any toxins from the can be transferred to the chicken?
I do not believe it gets hot enough
Apparently the can doesnt get over 80 deg C, so its pretty safe

I want a quilt not full of down but synthetic fibers as I hate the thought of sleeping in dead animal products , I need it to go at least -5 celsius. I found out today some bags use what they call live bird feathers. This means the poor animal was plucked while it was alive then continued to live till it was fat enough to killed be eaten. I don’t want this on my conscious, and apparently many bags and quilts use these fathers. No cool no good. So man use your knowledge and support animal free products and recommend what I can buy. I am sure all reading this now will want an alternative regardless of price.
Check out my woobie video
Thank you for your captivating video showcasing the beloved "Svea 123" stove in a slightly modified setup. Your execution was commendable, and it truly captivated my attention! Furthermore, I stumbled upon a selection of pots that pair harmoniously with this exceptional stove: the Snow Peak Hybrid Summit Cookset, Pathfinder cup , Snow Peak Trek 700 (700ml), and the Titanium Trek Combo (900 + 1,400 ml), equipped with rc model fuel silicone tubing delicately encasing the handles-this choice has undoubtedly become a personal favorite. Best of luck with your future endeavors and cheers to many more adventures!
Nice one! I am pleased to see these beasts out being used
How do you shut it off.
Undo the pressure release
I had a Peak 1, it was a piece of crap.
Sorry to hear that.
When I was a young man working for the NZPO we used the thermettes with cotton waste soaked in kerosene. The y boil 2.2 litres in about 4 minutes.
Thats an awesome fuel.. easy to light!!
Time to cut notches into my Optimus Terra flux ring
The firemaple pots are cheap enough to not have to damage an expensive pot
At first it can barely stay lit. Then it has flames shooting all the way up the sides of the pot. I guess I won't be making one of those. So far, my fav cat food can stove is just that - an unmodified cat food can. You need something to hold the pot up, but you can throw twigs into it and burn those too. And it snuffs out real easy.
Its all about experiments
Interesting combo. You should mod your svea a little. Carbon felt around the preheat pan to avoid spillage and I removed the chain and key from the svea and instead attached the key to a firesteel+ceramic striker combo with a bit of paracord. The steel chain always gets in the way. For very very cold weather some ground insulation is key (I glued some thin cork and reflection bubble foil together for this. And the small pumps are also great to get it started faster in very cold temps) I use the svea typically with a titanium foil windscreen but keep it half open
Thanks for the tips!
@@bagheerasadventures thanks for your vid! The svea is really a part of gear I always come back to. Another tip: Aspen 4 is a awesome fuel for it that burns cleaner than regular white gas stive fuel and was developed for white gas fueled equippment that is operated close to human contact (e.g. chainsaws, lawnmowers)
@martinerhard8447 I will will look for it
Working lovely!. Keep the patina!.
Thank you, I will
Aussie in Kiwi land 😂

Was that a bird with a beard? 1.57
For New Zealand Maori women, the moko kauae, or traditional female chin tattoo, is considered a physical manifestation of their true identity. It is believed every Maori woman wears a moko on the inside, close to their heart; when they are ready, the tattoo artist simply brings it out to the surface.
😂😂😂
@@bagheerasadventures so that is not a beard? It is a tatt?
@@bagheerasadventures Oh and all the Maori chicks I know don't have beard tatts.
@ElderRaven Moko are a taditional tattoo for Maori, the indigenous people of New Zealand. Ignorance is one thing, rudeness is something else.
surgical gloves.... haha
It stinks bro
mate it is not pickled, it is fermented.
Correct. Thanks for clarifying. I hope you enjoyed the video
Goes good with rotten corn bro
It crossed my mind bro
Pickled, rotten... TomAto, tomahto. 😂
Potato potahto
Im pretty sure it always looks like that, honestly. Ive never seen a video where it looked any better. The fly's showing up so fast cant be a good sign.
I agree with you

Cool bike! I thought they stopped making them in 1973 then moved on to the fr50, I could be wrong and it could be 1975, sweet rig anyway👍

Hey Tory.. you have enough projects on the go.
@@bagheerasadventures yeah, but I made sure the best ones are at the front of the new shed
Love your gn125 thread on that other site
Well done. Looks like it will haul ass. Funny how anything along that line will save you some miles of walking to get help around these parts. Behind the main river levee is the worst place to be stuck or with a drained battery because the driver, me, left the key on in the jeep. lol. We learned to leave an old Honda three-wheeler parked in the bushes covered with a tarp on top of the old original levee that the water got over in 27 I think it was for that very reason. You could get to it and ride for help quicker and easier than going on foot all the way. You also learn to turn off the key and take it out of the ignition. LOL Glad you are well and busy. Spring must be in the air there.
That sounds like a heck of a lot of fun. Hoping you are well
@@bagheerasadventures Life for me and my friends was pretty good growing up. Of course we were white boys in Mississippi in the early 60s. I killed my first of the king's deer, to borrow a Robin Hood line, when I was about 6 years old. Had been a dove and quail flusher and retriever for a year before that. I learned to use the lay of the land by flushing birds in the right direction for Dad and buddies to get a wing shot at. For us it was a wonderful time to grow up. For others here it was not so. Don't get me wrong. I love my country. I just do not see it as anywhere near perfect as some tend to. What will you guys use this for? Not to be too nosey, I hope.
@ergot57 I will be running it on the road for fun. There is a huge small bike movement here. Check out Syds Run and Scooter Safari. Your childhood sounds like a fun one. Keep well!
That finished up really nice 👌 Great work. You could almost sell these as high end womens earings I reckon 😜
I wish!
Cant catch a fish hangin off ears!!!
Looking good man! Just stumbled upon this video cos I was thinking of trying to make a bone lure. Holy, did you twist up all that cordage? That's quite the length of cordage, I am impressed.
Yes I did!!!
@bagheerasadventures nice work! That must have taken quite a few hours, bet your hands felt that!
About 10 hours
