Stupid unhelpful shit 😂😂 what an idiot 😂
Sucks to have to pull the engine out to do the oil pan gasket.
Anyone know if the evaporator coil lines connect to the dryer and the other line under hood or are those separate tubes?
Is ford Taurus and ranger same motor I mean long block
Yes
idk if it's just me, but i'm almost positive that pilot bearing wasn't fully seated.
Theres no way he would have made that mistake. If you notice, the bearing is installed ON the flywheel, ive never seen that before, usually they are behind everything. This is a new design and is better than they always used to be with the bearing installed into the crankshaft.
You don't need to remove the engine for this job. What a sap
I’ve been told you do. Would be nice not having to remove the engine b
@TowMan127 just need alot of wooden blocks and a engine hoist
I hope that truck lasts you forever, brother you deserve it. That’s a lot of work.
Nice and I'm a Ford guy saying that
Awesomeness
Awsome love your video Very professional on all levels Cool intro and music
What went wrong here?
I have a TS408S and I scanned the old sensors I don't see a way to program the sensors I have a 2011 Toyota Sienna and the sensors say OE, not MX There is no way to manually enter the sensor number When I select copy, it only gives me the Cooy by OBD option and says to plug into the OBD2 port Does it copy the id numbers from the car to the new sensors ? I am lost as to why I don't see any options to program the sensor like you are doing Please help
# parts is the clotch? , please.
Did you do measurements on your engine before you built it? Like oil clearances?
Where do you think I can find me a 3.0 engine manifold I'm having some real problems
Oh man i remember when i did mine back in 2017, didnt have any odd odours but it was leaking pretty badly and dripping coolant by one of the ac drains, unfortunately i didnt have any money left and didnt replace the blend door actuator :(. Do you happen to have any pictures from the inside of the plenum? Now after all these years i think my ac drain is now clogged, but checked it with a coat hanger wire and its clear, can hear water slushing even from a stand still just by revving the engine. (Intermittently)
It may work great, but I'm not paying $100 for a freaking gasket.
Hopefully it’s worth the price cause that’s one hell of a job
Hey maybe i missed it but how do i know if its tdc on exhaust or intake? I have the heads off and the number one piston is raised up and crank pulley timing mark is at the 0 closest to the tdc letters. Do the rod lifter positions matter? I just want to make sure its tdc how its supposed to be. Can't find any other videos explaining it and i dont recall hearing u explain it cuz it was already off
Fuel pressure regulator. Do a vacuum pump test on the regulator. I never tested mine but i know its bad as im getting gas into my intake which then puts it in the crankcase. Causes misfire condition but no misfire codes, gas spits out the exhaust.
How come you didn’t auto activate it? Should be easier to do it that way
Do you need to clone all of the old sensors individually to the new sensors?
I’m going to do mine now. Never done it before
How did it go?
@@richarddresden6869 Must be really bad lol
@@NickBEADG lol RIP
WHY DID you vacuum out the A/C that was stupid and extra work... Why would pull the seats, you make a job a lot harder, and more trouble than it is.
What are you yapping about
Some trucks you need to (dodge pickups), so it was probably just thinking he needed to do it. Not a big deal
these old trucks were better than many thought at the time.i love my 90.most reliable vehicle i ever owned with just general maintenence.left me set once when starter failed, in the last 23 years.id like to see a new vehicle do that.
Heya there! Thanks for posting this
Flap disc to the new bushings edges also works, just did that on my s10
Do you “Rock” 1 and torque 5…etc.
Dude you removed way more then needed 😭😭
That's pretty crazy. I have the same exact truck. And I did not have to take any of that out to change my heater core😂😂 sounds like this elderly couple just got taken advantage of
Hey my dude how did you do it? I really don’t wanna rip my dash apart.
How?
Howww
Vulcan power!
Where is your double like button...thank you i do appreciate your youtube..
Let's take this moment to appreciate Chris fix for not adding annoying 80s guitar riffs in his tutorials
Did he do a video on this job in this truck?
What does a job like this cost? I have an 05 Lariat 4x4 5.4L with only 135000 miles. Truck is pretty mint with the exception of the frame. It's completely rotted.😢 Aside from that the truck runs great.
So for this job I belive my shop charged the customer 3500 for labor, and I couldn't say how much the frame was. Obviously every shop price will be different
Where you located? Do you think you could get a hold of a replacement frame still?
I'm sorry I am no longer working in the automotive industry at the moment, I do belive it would have to be purchased from a junkyard.
Mines the exact same but 2007 with 74k miles. What did you end up doing?
You can do it without pulling the motor: ua-cam.com/video/VQbPMuSJKGs/v-deo.html
I bought new sensors from different brand. My car sensor is not autel too. I bought new sensor but not autel mx. Can this device program it or nust be obly autel to be programmed
Break cleaner attacks many plastics. Beware brake cleaner on plastic.
U took waaaaay to much stuff apart!
Hi,someone stole my tires and I don't have old sensors now,I got new sensors but how do I program it on the car, thanks
You use the obll port and access the old registered numbers from your ECU and clone the new sensors but make sure the clones are in the right position. Im not sure if the ECU tells you which position but it should say 1,2,3,4 and a tire shop would know the order they are in.LF, RF, RR, LR I have 5, with full spare on the rim. I hope this helps. Then there is a thing called ECU LOCK From trying to reset the system too many times. I have a reser button on my Avalon that just sets the tire pressure threshold 33PSI set before resetting sensors and make sure all the tires are at the recommended pressure. Best aftermarket sensore are autel about $30 a pop. Next time use a lug lock, they will have to jam a socket on it to remove it or break the lug to get your tires. Too much work and hit the next guy.
How did you get the boot out without removing the center console?
So funny thing, this car had it off already when it came in.
@@backyardmechanics5170 ah so he probably removed everything and just put back the center console or ?
Nice video. I bought a new one on Amazon for under $30 and it took 10 min to install.
$21 on flea bay. Just installed it today. See how well it holds up.
You can just scan it
Hahahaha That shity ford dash beat you up didn’t it? I hate fords. I have 2 and did this crap job. I want to push them off a cliff in flaming ball of fire.
A 5.4 2wd with a bent frame... should have just gotten rid of it. Too much work for clunker!
That's what I thought but customer paid in full for it
I had 4 new tires installed and I think the mechanic didn't bother to adjust/program the two front tires and now I have to take out the tire from the rim to access the sensors to do it myself which totally blows man
You shouldn't need to they will read just by scanning it. You just have to use the re learn option with the magnet you get with it.
@@Lifesrad8 i may need to get the sensor programmer
@@headspaceaudio7745 it's definitely worth it
You saved me bro. The MF Macanic was creating a drama and asking for 200$ for fixing the problem.
This will help allot of people wish I knew about this before going irp.Happy where I’m at but great vid!
Would doing that affect the alignment?
No it just spreads the opening to allow the control arm to slide in easier
This seems like the hard way of doing this
I'm thinking of doing same thing to my 7.3 old owner didn't seal new pan right its leaking bad, thought about moroso, how did gasket hold up?
One year and 27k miles later not a single drop. One of the best things I got for this motor besides the Riff Raff oil dipstick plug.
@backyardmechanics5170 that's good to here ive herd 50 50 about them gaskets but I like design, is your pan stock pan ford?
Yes same stock ford pan. Didn't need to change as it was still straight
@backyardmechanics5170 I baught 01 f550 7.3 6 weeks ago, guy before me put new pan, I think he used cheap pan, because he used orange rtv, witch isn't even designed for it. It's leaking at corners bad, i think he use parts store pan, I was told that there big difference in size from molding process with stock pan (tighter tolerance) vs a parts store pan. So i may swap it out.
Hello again. You mentioned evacuating the ac line before removing the heater core. Is that necessary? Also, what tool did you use to disconnect the hoses under the hood? Thanks a million for your great videos
What I didn't mention was I removed the charge to replace oring to the evap core, and as far as the heater hoses. I had to use a small pocket screw driver and pick cause the clips were stuck on the hose connectors.
My apologies. That was intended for another another guy with videos. I have found your video very informative and appreciate your time and efforts in it's production.
