Lake Superior Circle Tour Moto-Camping Packing Strategies.
Переглядів 8343 місяці тому
I just completed a 3,500 km Lake Superior Circle Tour. I started from London, Ontario and made my up to Sault Ste. Marie, MI. and worked my way clockwise around Lake Superior. I would suggest that this is the optimal approach as the segment from Wawa to Sault Ste. Marie was by far my favorite, and this way, you can end on a high note. This was my first attempt at Moto-Camping and figured start ...

Splitting wood and saving time with chain and bungee.

I use a chain and bungee to hold the log together as I split it down into manageable pieces. it prevents you from having to stop and pick up your split pieces for further processing. #firewood

My final breath hold after 31 days of Wim Hof.
Переглядів 68Рік тому
Welcome to day 31 of my Wim Hof challenge. Every morning for the last 31 days, I did a series of breathing exercises and breath-holds. This will admittedly be a little boring to watch but I recorded my last one today where I held my breath for 7 minutes. You will see what is known as "Involuntary Breathing Movements" of the diaphragm, kick in and ramp up as I approach the 7-minute mark. This wa...

Birthday push ups with breath-hold
Переглядів 624 роки тому
I was challenged to do one push up for every year. However, as an exercise physiologist I decided to make it more interesting by doing them under "breath-hold" conditions. I wouldn't advise anyone for trying something like this without proper screening and coaching. How many did I do? Watch and find out.

Ginger and Scarlett walking off-leash

Ginger and Scarlett are my two Vizslas. They love to run in the woods and I have been working on them to walk beside me, off-leash for parts of the trail...this is a lot to ask of a Vizsla but they are catching on very quickly.

Nicely done on the video , I live in Sault Ste Marie Ont and although I’ve never been on the complete circle route I do ride upto Thunder Bay for a night and have been west to BC and east to Quebec Gaspe Bay and Nova Scotia etc. I will be trying the moto camping for the first time this year and your video opened my eyes to some in camp possibilities. Heading to BC end of June and then to NL in August, wish me luck , married to an Italian cook so I may starve . 😂

That's great. I encourage you to go for it. If things don't work out on a trip, you can always pick up what you need along the way. I know this was a big trip for a first time, but figured I would just dive right in.

Good job! I've used a monster maul for about 40 year, only has to re-weld the on once. To contain my wood I use a truck tire with the sidewalls cut off to hold several pieces in place. Then the question comes up, it it more efficient to use a chopping block or just set on the ground? I almost always set on the ground for the added momentum of the maul. ua-cam.com/video/Y1xykGoOEzA/v-deo.html

Nice work guy! Pretty slick. That maul kinda looks similar to one I got. Trooper 12 lb. You ever get elbow pain? I wrap some foam pipe insulation around my handle and gorilla tape over that. It stops that shockwave from going into your arms.

What in the world are you doing elevating the piece to split? You have now lost half of your momentum and power of the splitting wedge!!!!!!! Doing this for 60 years! Professionally for many when young. Now 73 and just was down spilitting Juniper rounds. You are also elevating the risk of the splitting maul coming off and hitting YOU!
