When I Said I Do-Lucy & Gary
Lucy fans (myself included) tend to be hard on Gary. This video is a tribute to Lucy and Gary's enduring marriage. While their's may not have been traditionally viewed as the passionate love affair that Lucy and Desi once had, there can be no question in anyone's mind that Lucy and Gary loved each other very much. They meant what they said when they said "I Do".

Lucy & Desi-Starting Over

They fought a good fight. In the end, their marriage didn't last, but from all accounts, their love did. This is the story from Lucy's side. No disrespect meant to Desi love him, but I will always wonder why he couldn't be faithful when he loved Lucy so much.

Larry and Vivien An Eternal Love Story
What is still amazing - 2024 people still enjoy seeing Lucy and Desi in Tributes like this - also, there were two documentaries: Home Movies by Lucie Arnaz and Lucy Desi by Amy Poehler both won Emmys; and the film Being the Riccardos, where Nicole Kidman was a Golden Globe winner. These two really touched our hearts. (I still watch I Love Lucy - and some of The Lucy Show - last two seasons 67 & 68 won Emmys.)
People punishing me or anybody for their mental illness they caused and or contribute and or contributed to their disability etc I.e loss of whatever it may be that perpetuates whatever is unhealthy doesn't work

Sadly the public image was very different to the private one Vivien Leighs illness was so sad such a talented actress and her husband Olivier what an actor he was.
It's nice when Stars really did live the fantasy of legal marriage and love. With Lucille and Desi, the chemistry was allowed to be real after the Dirctor said action! ..... and cut! They were in character. That was a tear jerker because it's real. I didn't see that tendeness in Burton and Taylor.., although they were a passionate couple. But I did see it with Dewhurst and George C Scott. Somehoe the Arnaz couple is eternal. Thank you. Beautiful.
Don’t worry he was no dummy ,
Happy for Lucy but it’s obvious when Desi passed away , something left Lucy ,Gary M said it best when she passed away she is happy now she is with Desi, like it or don’t , Desi was always her true love , She had stability with Gary Rip Lucy, Gary , Desi ,& Edith !

This was a real surprise to know she was a really good dancer. She was a real beauty too! Fab looking!
Desi was just so sexy. Lucy not as much.
@2:01 Lucy didn't care to show affection in public with Desi. They didn't gaf. They REALLY DIDN'T GAF!!!
It was truly sad that they couldn't make it work, they always loved each other, it was just a sad story. She talked to him on the phone before he died & she told him she loved him & always would. Truly sad!😢💔
Blondy hair is not for her nor for Ava gardiner nor for elezabath Taylor most beautiful acress 🧑🌾

I love hearing about passionate love even if it doesn’t last
She never never loved him.
Both Lucy & Desi overcame so many obstacles in their youth ,their love for one another was a true blessing despite the tribulations & trials of their marriage they loved each other till the end!! ❤️❤️🙏🙏
She was a classic example of what a determined woman could do, even in male-dominated industry.
I read a book sometime ago. I can't recall the title off hand. It was about Laurence Olivier and of course it was also about Vivien Leigh and Olivier's other wives Jill esmond and Joan Plowright.. the book told the reader about Vivien Leigh's breakdown and stay in a hospital where she was treated for her breakdown in the 1950s. I believe she had this breakdown while making elephant walk the film with Peter finch.. and Olivier's book confessions of an actor if I remember rightly also told of his wife's bipolar illness then called manic depression. The first book I refer to named the hospital where Vivien Leigh was treated. It was called netherne in coulsdon in Surrey. Not far from where I live. The hospital is now gone and a housing estate stands on the site nowadays. I know someone who's aunt worked there in the 1950,s as a nurse. The aunt told me she remembers Olivier coming to visit his wife Vivien Leigh as she sometimes attended to her on her shifts. I believe Vivien Leigh was a private patient This first book I refer to also says Laurence Olivier sister Sybil sadly also suffered with mental health issues and was a patient in the same hospital at least twice. . . . . .
This is one I'll watch again and again...
It was so sad that their marriage ended. They had everything fame talent wealth and good looks. But behind the public adulation and glitter all was not good between them. The relationship became a nightmare I have read and heard. Vivien Leigh sadly had bipolar and in those days there wasn't the treatment or drugs to help control her symptoms. I think her husband Larry Olivier tried his best to help his wife but the situation became introllrable for him. And his own health and his work as an actor etc was suffering. I think although both Larry and vivien found love with other people later on Joan Plowright and jack merivale the love of their lives was Larry for Vivien and Vivien for Larry. I think also jack and Joan must have had a hard time coming with this fact. Couldn't have been easy.
Her friend. Her true love was always Desi
Amazing talent
Funny, in my many years I never had interest in celebrity relationships - except Lucy and Desi - loved them when I was a child (I Love Lucy) love the many tributes about them over the years. (That's 1951 - to 2024)
隨風而逝啊!除了懷念還是懷念
Oh yeah sure, She tormented him with her psychotic episodes(she was bipolar) the length of their marriage until he could take it no more and left her. But he left her in the hands of s.o. he trusted to take care of her.

I watched Jack escorting Vivien out of His Majesty’s Theatre ( now demolished ) in Auckland, New Zealand in 1962 when she was here performing in three different plays. She looked so petite and walked in such a delicate and feminine way.I was 15 then.A nice memory.
