My Hero! Still got the Chops! First Lady of Aerobatics!
Co wydaje taki dźwięk? Jakiś wlot powietrza?
Vulcan 😮
Man, you got that thing Zinging🫡
Got to love a two stage super charger sound.
Spitfire flying 10ft from the water up a narrow river. Full send
I'm partial to the P-47 Thunderbolt.
Better sound? "You are NOT the Father!" 😂😂
Sounds like....Victory
Im sure that sound was both loved and feared, depending on who hears it.
Its just the air going over the 50cal gun holes on each wing
Naturally aspirated Ferrari v12 from the 60s? (sorry to go off topic) 😅
DB605
C 130 hercules
Iconic fake whistle. 😢 such a dishonest thing to do for such a great airplane
Love that awesome beast!!
Vulcan bomber or spitfire but this would be number 3 on list ✊
I like it
Just whistling at the chicks.
That's a MERLIN 16CYL PUMPING OUT H.P 👀👍🇺🇸
Sound is from 109.
That sounds good. But for me, it would be either a P 47 Thunderbolt or an F 4U Corsair with a Pratt Whitney R2800 with a Hamilton standard paddle prop……..
Also, I was told as they pass you and throttle up to climb or pull off target that’s snapping popping or cracking sound that everybody thinks the exhaust it’s actually the propeller tips breaking the speed of sound. It’s like their own version of a sonic boom and thought that was really cool.!
Yes! And me to it is a fake whistle 😢
Had the pleasure of hearing this at the airshow in Monroe NC
You course you know it is fake
Its a great warbird p51 mustang a true legend of wwll.
I love jets, but there's just nothing like the thrill AND chill these babies bring to the senses...depending on whether you are friend or foe!❤
Incredible sound!
My corvette makes that sound when I hit 175 mph.
It's possible it was caused by the under belly air scoop to a radiator the sound it makes.
No! The inside guns have been removed and about a 2 inch pipe installed. It is a fake whistle. For air show
Corsair at 400 mph flyby.
Actually a P51D mustang
He was naming a better sound@@Will_CH1
@@jayplunkett3475 Fair enough
P51s have the coolest sounds,
😂🎉awesome old bird 😊😊
Why do p-51s whistle? Because they can't sing.
Well not like that it is a fake whistle. By removing the inboard guns an putting a 2 inch pipe instead to make the whistle. 😮 it is a real shame these guys do this be cause this is not the sound of a true mustang
Supermarine Spitfire
No one said Stuka???
I always thought that was supercharger whine, but have since been assured it’s actually a whistle produced by the gun flutes. I guess that makes sense as the Spitfire with the same engine does not sound the same.
Seriously? I did not know this, are you talking about the perforated heat shields surrounding the gun barrels, or the rifling within the guns bore?.
I also heard that that’s why the Japs called the Corsair whistling death because of the same whistle from the gun barrels in a dive. Kind of like when you blow in the top of a Coke bottle times 100
@ apparently it’s true, at least according to a guy I talked with on UA-cam who said he worked on them. I’m not sure exactly which part produces the sound, but I believe it may be the inlets (holes I guess) in the wing itself.
@ yes I heard it was either the gun barrels themselves or the inlets like you say but he explained it like you’re blowing the top of a Coke bottle to get that sound he said and then you multiply it by about 300 miles an hour and he said it gives you a very good whistle!
@ awesome
No sound like it in the world....still to this day.
Have you ever heard a Vulcan howl??
Yes! Because it is a fake whistle
My fats
F4 2 ship takeoff in full burner
A10 warthog on a gun run
Yup.
A better sound? The "grrrrrrrr" that an ATM makes when dispensing money.
Is that tom cruise,,,😅
Nope!
I love aircraft but cars always sound better
An F4U whistle
That's a sweet sound.....
Back in the mid 1980s while attending community college for diesel mechanics 4 semesters. The question was asked what makes a turbocharger whistle. The conclusion was the compressor tips are going supersonic and the shape of the cold side of turbo looks like a police whistle cut in half. I would imagine it's the same for superchargers.
Maybe a A10 gun?
Name a better sound you say? Vulcan bomber 🤘🏻
There is a SAAB jet that sounds awesome too, though I can’t recall its name, possibly Vigen.
BS not even close
I love the vulcan howl. beautiful and terrifying
Os mais bonitos P-51 e Spitfire
Badass from wing tip to wing tip
I wonder if this is the inspiration for star wars speeder bike/fighter sounds. What a plane
Name a better sound? OK, An Avro Lancaster flying with a Spitfire on each wing, that's 6 Rolls Royce Merlin Engines. Or there's the Avro Vulcan with it 4 Rolls Royce Olympus engines in full afterburn. Now there's a noise.
Almost every radial engine
You can’t compare because this whistle is fake
