Sugar Cookies From Heaven - A must try recipe
My amazing cousin, found this hidden sugar cookie recipe in a box full of my grandmother's recipes. Didn't know this was the sugar cookie I've been missing my entire existence.
Cookies from heaven:
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tps vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups + 1 tablespoon AP Flour
1 egg
1 stick softened butter
Cream ingredients together in bowl... Knead into ball.
Fridge for a few hours - (overnight makes nicer results)
Oven to 375 degrees
Spoon out balls (i used a tablespoon) roll ball into sugar and press with a glass bottom.
Bake 7-10 minutes - let cool for at least 15 minutes on a rack

The only issue is the use of "Taco Seasoning". Its a general term that could be mean many different ingredients and can vary from each manufacturer. Probably some chili powder, cumin, garlic, etc. but taste could vary based on other ingredients. For example - The Taco Bell seasoning packet you can buy in stores tastes nothing like the seasoned ground beef in the restaurants.

I have been trying to replicate the unique flavor profile of a Taco Bell taco for ~20 years.... this is the only copycat recipe that has come close. You are amazing, and with Taco Bell's ridiculous pricing these days, you are basically a philanthropist, and a humanitarian that is helping to alleviate poverty and saving lives 😅 Edit: I recommend one minor change though, first brown the ground beef, with the salt, then after the meat is browned, add the broth and all of the other ingredients. and simmer and 'mash and stir" for a bit, like normal.

Thank you for sharing with us. We are copycatting Taco Bell, because they are just TOO EXPENSIVE anymore. Right now, we are working to copy the Chapula Steak and the Cantina Chicken. If you have any ideas, do let us know. But, just try to copy them yourself and post, because tens of thousands of people are looking for "Taco Bell -- Copycat Recipe for XYZ". Promise you. You will get millions of hits if you post that, maybe even rename this or add "(Copycat Recipe)" where people will find it quicker. People are revolting because of inflation right now.
