3.5 Pickleball (According to Comment Section)
Illegal serves and you dislike your backhand drives?
Which serves do you think were illegal? And yes I do prefer my forehand, I need to get my backhand a lot more consistent
@@CarolinaPickleball I didn't mean for it to come off rude, but it looks like a lot of your serves were hit when the ball was still pretty high. Not as bad as the #3 opponent, but from the angle of the camera that I can see, they look higher than they should be.
3rd guy has an illegal serve
I didn’t see anything particularly illegal on his serve. Why do you think it’s illegal
Wrong, unless you found 1 specific time that it was. A timestamp would be better than to just say "3rd guy"
Def not 3.5. 4.0+ for sure. Great points.
What paddle are you using
I’m using a X-4 paddle by Body Helix, it’s a great paddle all around, probably not ideal for singles but perfect in doubles
definitely not 3.5, i'd rate these guys a little below 4.5 play.
16:49 was that an illegal serve lifting up one leg?
I’m not sure about that. I wouldn’t think it’s illegal
@ oh I thought both feet have to be touching the ground. Can you reach over the “center line” when serving?
@@goodeddie9315 there's no rule that says both feet have to be on the ground. Dekel Barr is a perfect example of exploiting that, look up his serve
Are these people advertise this game as 3.5 to justify their sandbagging from tournaments? Jokes aside, excellent match, I think this is 4.0+ at least.
Ahh the classic looking back at your partner move in pickleball.
Thanks for posting. Video quality is better than most PPA coverage.
Rudolph
The post game DUPR updates are a nice touch. Also, it seems like you all do a good job giving the benefit of the doubt on line calls, which is uncommon in most the pickleball videos.
Yeah I’m really bad at watching lines while running to get ready for the next shot. It about came back to bite me in game 2. Everyone was pretty generous on line calls in this tournament which was kind of refreshing. Thanks for watching!
4:21😂😂
Happens to the best of us! Lol
Great play, camera angles and editing! Thanks for posting this.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!!
Good players! 4.5?
Not 3.5
4.0??? Those were some great shots. Damn
These guys are all 5.0. They are by far the best players at the 4.0+ sessions we go to in Charlotte.
I love how black shirt/shorts dude is so casual, almost like he sees the ball ahead of time! Great defense!!
1:05 The guy in blue illustrates everything that is wrong with playing pickleball this way. Guy in blue does a nice drop, earning a weak dink in response. He runs up to where he can make an easy and safe response, but decides he has to attack it off of one foot-before even finishing his arrival at the NVL-and promptly wires the ball into a distant zip code. Epic fail. Notice that his partner is a full step off the NVL concurrently, for no good reason. But we know why, all the same. Guy in blue is going to start a firefight on bad terms, and he knows it, so he's standing a full step back, expecting the worst. Because why not expect the worst after your partner makes a sensational drop shot to equalize the position, when your partner can turn it into a losing adventure with misplaced aggression, while hitting the brakes on one foot, at the next ball contact?
Haha I’m the guy in blue and I agree, definitely a little too low to try and speed that ball up. Good decision making is one of my many weakness in pickleball haha. Thanks for watching
THIS is the way it ought to be! Enjoyed watching
D1 will be 5.0 in a month
Obviously talented and skill level above 4.00. Just curious though. What kind of ball are they using? Looked like really high paced and really hard drives but then from the side the smashes looked a little muted. Indoor or outdoor? Hard or soft?
I can’t remember this night. Maybe a dura
This is only going to confuse UA-cam warriors into thinking they're right when they see actual 3.5 and 4.0 play and then call them 2.5s at best. Just say what you're skill level actually is. Why cater to the ignorant haters who don't even play the game? It just seems cowardly. You guys are great, and I'd guess you're probably 5.0 or better. I'm only around a 3.5, so it's hard for me to judge really skilled gameplay what with all the nuance. But you titled the video this way either because you're appealing to the worst of trolls or trying to troll actual pickleball fans yourselves. Seems silly.
I’m Trolling the rating police on UA-cam . I ultimately don’t care what people think my skill level is.
@CarolinaPickleball That's good. Are you guys like 5 or 5.5? My wife and I were thinking you were probably within that range. Very good play.
Paddle merchants tbh
Champs!
Hook me up with a bag and I’ll make a video review for it
That's 4.0 in Miami.
Baseball is too dangerous. It needs to be banned.
You guys all have around a 5.0 DUPR, how exactly is this 4.0 pickleball?
UA-cam raters > DUPR
@@CarolinaPickleball What does that even mean?
@@CarolinaPickleball you misspelled sandbagging
Bangers
NOT 3.5. Two of these players have DUPRs of 4.5 and 4.8.
UA-cam rating. Not DUPR
The majority of the points won or lost are unforced errors. Similar to my rec play. I’ll keep practicing.
Yeah I’d like to think we don’t do as much dumb stuff in tournaments but we really should practice like we are in a tournament setting to clean up the unforced errors
Definitely not 4.0, these guys are easely 5.0+
I did not raise you to hit Nasty Nelsons!!!
😂
Sorry mom! I’m a bad sport like you!
Tell em Beth!
U guys are 4.5
Ever since I started playing a few months ago, it's been something of a goal to find a single pickleball video without someone feeling the need to chime in with "UM AKSHULLY THEY'RE 3.0 AT BEST" or whatever, so i do appreciate the trolling here 😂
Another former D1 tennis player here…although much older ( 35 years ago) A lot of skills do translate but there are definitely nuances that need to be learned to get to higher levels
I play here and I am in 3.5 group but I don't remember seeing these guys. Was this a tournament? They seem better then most 3.5s I play with.
White shirt guy really played well, his 2HBH and forehand 3rd shot drops are amazing. Some of his porch decision was not that great but still formidable.
Alec is really good!!
Play looks solid. I don’t really see much banging though. Lots of good drops and resets.
Pickleball = Who ever gets to the kitchen first wins
Good quality of play, it's nice to see some people have some standards
I thought this was a game for retired people.
Just stopping by to tell you to stay the FUCK off of tennis courts. Don't @ me.
Listen, any of these two players would stomp you in tennis.
Not worth it
According to what I watch online like Pickleball Pirates, you are sandbagging at 3.5 IMO bro. You are pretty solid off both sides and volleys.
Great play-so patient with all players shot selections. Can these players have dupr ratings up to 3.9 and play 3.5??
This was so fun to watch. I have a few comments. First the “3.5” is not a 3.5. Second, the “3.5” is kind of cocky. Lastly, the 3.0 did quite well for his first time playing pickleball.
It was a pretty good showing for his first time picking up a paddle
That's brutal right there. The UA-cam Influencer Pickleball System (YIPS) rating does seem generous
Dang, you guys are good!
I’m definitely a 3.0 then 🙂
This is the Sharon Lakes facility. Pickleball Charlotte is the place to be. I play here and at the Ballantyne facility.
There isn't a 3.5 on the planet that's doing ernes, ATPs, and blocking ATPs. Come on, guys. This is 4.5 play all day.
No way, UA-cam comments has spoken. This is 3.5 at best lol
