What a joke.showing the plane taxying off the runway AFTER THE crash?! How does that happen?
So your showing the simulator while you talk about the plane crash & a down wind departure? Smh
Wtf does this have to do with the plane crash?
Why are you discussing the contracts & legal encounters when this is labeled "jim groce plane crash story"?
In that brief case was 15,000.00 for Otis performing his last show. That gig was a setup to get Otis in mob country
Thank you so much!!! Very interesting!!!

I saw JIM in concert at Six Flags Over Texas one hot Friday night in 1973. This video brings lots of memories back.
As i listen to Jim Reeves song ( specially gospel songs) my life, my health feels good. I thank God his voice remain with us🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Alot of planes crash on route to Dyersburg and beyond...Patsy Cline's wreck happened a year before. Camden.
How much dead space can you put into a 90 minute video? Say about 88 minutes! Read about this in Flying magazine back in the 80's. That article was a fifteen minute read and had much more information.
I’ve visited dean Manuel’s grave in Nashville. I hope one day to make a trip to Texas and see where Jim is buried.
This reminds me of Aalyiah plane crash
Damn dude! You are extremely well versed in stones history. Thank you
poor done
I’ve recently got into the whole story of Buddy and along the way I’ve came a fan . I’m Gen X . Grew up with the 90’s style alternative music and Metallica . I’m also a musician and so I see Buddy’s style lead to the Beatles and then so on he first one to create the “band” as we know it today . 2 guitarist and bassist and drummer. He first one to start over dubs with guitar sounds . So I am a fan of his .
I’m in utter awe. This is one of the most perfect videos I’ve ever watched.
RIP Robert N. Elliott Jr. (1915-1973) Jim Croce (1943-1973) Maury Muehleisen (1949-1973) George Stevens (1937-1973) Kenneth D. Cortese (1945-1973) and Dennis Rast (1942-1973)
RIP Jim Reeves (1923-1964) and Dean Manuel (1934-1964)
We don’t pronounce it diberry. It’s pronounced De Berry. The De sounds out dee
was the plane "chartered" or did he own it
(I'm no pilot and don't know aerocraft controls; however, I'm those displays in the center are not consistent with 1973-era instrumentation -- the technology did not yet exist!)
RIP Ricky Nelson (1940-1985) Helen Blair (1957-1985) Donald C. Russell (1947-1985) Andy Chapin (1952-1985) Rick Intveld (1963-1985) Bobby Neal (1947-1985) and Patrick Woodward (1948-1985)
My personal Diary I wrote the next day after the last show of Randy Rhoads in Knoxville Tennessee! RIP RANDY! YOU ARE SORELY MISSED! OZZY OSBOURNE: THURSDAY MARCH 18TH 1982: RANDY RHOADS LAST SHOW AT THE KNOXVILLE CIVIC COLISEUM: DIARY OF A MADMAN TOUR: Upon entering the coliseum after buying my tour shirt and ticket 🎫 stub processing: I noticed the stage was set up like a medieval castle with arches and bats 🦇 flying around the top of them. There was a staircase leading up to Tommy Aldridge’s Drumkit. The top left of Tommy was where Donny Airey’s keyboards were set up. Stage right and left had to cages with which Randy Rhoads would appear from the floor stage right and Rudy Sarzo stage left. OZZY had a throne of which he would appear out of to start the show to Over the Mountain. Tommy had his drum tech dressed as an Executioner stand beside his kit with his arms crossed. The staircase had a small section that would open and a small dwarf named: Ronnie (after Ronnie James Dio the new singer for Black Sabbath-replacing OZZY) and hand OZZY towels and water between songs. Little did we all know that later in the show: the executioner would bring the dwarf out to be hung from the rafters and later he would cut off his head using a guillotine! At the end of the show OZZY climbed onto a giant mechanical hand that OZZY stood on top of and launched unspecified meat 🥩 🍖 into the audience! Of course it was all an a theatrical act as the dwarf appeared to take a bow with OZZY and the band. When OZZY smiled we noticed he put vampire 🧛♀️ teeth in! We laughed hard! I went to the show with my friend Richard and his older brother Greg who was 18 at the time. We were 13. Greatest show on earth! Richard and I were both terrified and thrilled at what we witnessed! Unfortunately the next morning all that excitement and energy was gone as we learned that Randy Rhoads perished in a plane crash in Florida. Richard and I played drums but Greg played guitar 🎸 and he definitely took it the hardest! One of the greatest guitarist of our generation and had just won the new guitarist of the year by Guitar Player magazine. Rest In Peace Randy Rhoads your music lives on! Sincerely, Gary Lagstrom
Man, I (We) miss him. Someone asked me, "Was he sitting in the front or back?" How am I supposed to know? 🥺
Excellent presentation and narration...you are a clever dude 🎯
If she knew she was gonna die she wouldn’t have climbed on that plane. would you???
I've Got A Name❤
My favorite was "Id fight the world " Ill never forget Dad playing this music in the 50's.
Leave the guy rest in peace for gosh sakes he good guy his whole family was good a great I enjoyed watching his show with the Nelson
Far too many musicians and other famous people have perished on small planes, usually due to pilot error and flying beyond their flying capabilities. Like JFK Jr, Patsy Cline’s pilot, the Buffy Holly tragedy, etc!
I had no idea that the plane once belonged to Jerry Lee. I bet he had something memorable to say when he heard it was the plane involved in this tragedy.
Many of the survivors still are dealing with their injuries - One actually had a leg amputated a few months ago - and Leslie Hawkins is also said to be having difficulty, particularly financially - Her insurance premium had not been paid ( unbelievable) and she remains financially responsible for the injuries sustained - All the while the current incarnation continues to generate millions of dollars - Off the name and the music made by those no longer with us
After all these years (it's now 2024), I still feel great sadness whenever I watch or hear anything about this incident, I was in school (High School) in Key West, when this occurred and we were told over the loudspeaker system of the assassination. We were immediately sent home and the school was closed. On Monday, everything was closed in town and I watched the funeral with my aunt and uncle on TV. I know now, that the assassination wasnt the way it was described at first, and that other people were involved in the killing of President Kennedy, but your coverage in the video was just the way it was thought to have been that day, according to reports. It's a very good video, in spite of how sad it made me feel . Thank you .
I I like how you told this story through the content of a nice visual plain ride... Well done... ✌️
General Artist Corporation was never held accountable for the way those musicians were poorly treated... No accountability, no scrutiny of any kind towards G.A.C for the miss treated musicians what so ever... And that's the whole irony of the three legendary singers death's...
His legacy will live on for many generations to come!
You have an amazingly unique channel mixing history with aviation. Brilliant. Thank you for what you do
So sad.
I remember I was celebrating that News Years Eve when it was announced Rick had been killed in this plane crash. It was a bummer for everyone but it made us all remember where we were when we heard the news. Back then you didn't get instand news.
Well done, very informative. Thanks! …and I’m Agreeing with several other commenters, Rick Nelson has never gotten the respect he deserves (although thankfully a RRHOF induction.)
my dad LYKESLAND ALTMAN loved jim reeves.....🎼🎵🎶🎵
I was on my way to my gig when I heard about the accident. I started praying and hoping my former friend and Road Manager/Soundman Clark Russell for The Ronnie Laws Band was not on board. On my way home I got the Sunday morning paper. The front page it was the headline and as I read I saw Clark's name and I broke down. The following day I had to go to SIR Studio Rentals and all the staff were mourning for Clark. I miss my friend and one of the best friends I've ever had...RIP ALL
Great video. I'm always interested in stories of Jim Reeves.
Glad to see you are making more videos! This is a great channel.
You should’ve stayed on that dock in the bay
He would have been better off sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away.
