    ridiculous. I have never heard of having to pay for second key for a room. And if you say the deposit is not refundable upon return of the key, that sounds even more ridiculous. I dont think that is the policy of hotels in Malaysia. You may check with the manager. Probably they impose such procedure to have more responsible customers. but i hope you enjoy the stay in kuala lumpur.

    Just a note about the coffee (or as the local calls it, Kopi), you can absolutely customize the coffee you order. The default Kopi you'll get is coffee with sugar and condensed milk. Some of the more popular combination for coffees that are less sweet are Kopi C Kosong (Coffee with evaporated milk and zero added sugar) and Kopi O Kosong (Coffee with no evaporated or condensed milk and zero added sugar). There are many infographics online about the other customization options like iced coffee or even straight up undiluted coffee. I encourage you to try them ordering them the local way if y'all are still in SG!

      Good question. The answer is: we didn't. Our home town was Terrace, BC. As far as how we were able to retire so young we mostly followed the FIRE movement (Financial Independence Retire Early). There really isn't a secret to it though. It just comes down to living simply, having no debt and saving/investing wisely. Thanks for watching!

    The Amex lounge must have been really disappointing since you didn't show it. As a cardholder I'd have liked to have seen it regardless. Also as a way to encourage Amex to up their game. I'd really like to be able to read the cards on the food counter. Some not readable (sorry, pet peeve from Italy trip where I did this in food courts and found I could hardly read or know what many of the items were). Interesting got-ya you highlighted regarding menu selection of GF and Celiac. Don't recall you explaining the $245 detail.

    • @CoryandWallace
      @CoryandWallace 11 днів тому

      Yes, the Centurion Lounge in Sydney really was that disappointing. We left very quickly and never looked back. Sorry about the readability of the info cards on the food stations, we film with a GoPro so even at best they will be difficult to read. We also have to film around the people there trying to get food so we're not always going to get a great shot of it. Cory has Celiac disease so we are trying to highlight gluten free options whenever we can. As for the $245, we paid for this trip with reward points (Aeroplan specifically) and only paid $245 in fees and taxes to fly from Vancouver to Sydney and from Sydney to Singapore all in business class. It would take a lot to explain it all here but if there is enough interest we could put together a future video explaining the miles and points game. Thanks for your comments and for watching our video!
