I thought when you do a double excavation, the second one comes from the extra pile, not from the board. Or is it if you only do a single excavation, you flipped the other one I forget

As a defender you have to pay the gold, you forgot that 07:00 mark

When you draw a shield for the plot action that is not in the game for the bot. In example the baratheon card you draw. It counts as of it was its own house shield like just as it would for you.

You were right, when you lose a Hero, you also lose its Hero Card until you are able to recruit it again. It is covered on Page 17 of the rules.

In the rivals first recruit action I believe you should have added as many units as possible which should have been up to three Tyrell units for each domain they recruited into.

You also first do the paired action shown on the card for the rival, then the die. Nice playthrough. Hoping to see some more

Remember with your plot actions that shields for houses that are not in the game act the same as your own shield, ie you can pay 2 gold to take any power token from one of the ally pools available. So in your plot action at the end of the round instead of just paying 1 to take the Lannister power token which didn’t do anything for you to get an alliance, you could have paid your 2 gold to take a second power token for the starks which would have gotten you an ally in the taxation phase.

Just a note on the Rivals actions. The die roll for the rival determines the pair of actions for them from their card, but they always do the dice action second, not the order shown for the pair at the top of the card. For the first card you drew, you took the dice action first. In saying this it didn’t affect the outcome for that turn but for future rounds the order may be important for the rivals turn 👍

1:22 According to the rules, the Excavation tile you played is either one excavation for free OR 2 excavations for 2 food, not both. Rules page 4 states: If two actions are separated by a diagonal cut, you must choose one OR the other, NOT BOTH. Further, on Rules Page 5, this tile is explained in detailed and again it states: The Excavation Action tile lets you excavate once OR twice, the latter costs 2 food. I'm pretty sure you are playing this action tile incorrectly, unless there has been some errata issued on this tile.
