I’ve been sleeping on budget gaming handhelds, until now.
I recently bought an Anbernic RG40XXV. It's a sleek Game Boy inspired retro handheld that plays 2D and 3D games. While it's not perfect, I believe it offers incredible value for it's $65 price. Here's why.

Still have a SNES Classic Edition in 2024?
Переглядів 24 тис.Місяць тому
The SNES Classic Edition is still a fantastic little emulation machine, even seven years later, thanks to the modding scene. Today I want to show everything mods have to offer, and how you can get started modding your own SNES Classic! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ List of Resources: Hakchi Download: github.com/TeamShinkansen/Hakchi2-CE/releases Options Menu Download: github.com/...

Today I'm taking a look at two unique Nintendo Switch accessories made by Unitek. Specifically, Unitek's Switch Dock and their Game Card Reader. Unitek was kind enough to provide these products for review, and if you're interested in checking them out, I've included some Amazon links below! Today I'm taking at look at the Steel Battalion controller and the game itself. This 44-input absolute chonker of a unit is surprisingly only used for one game series. Let's take a look at this behemoth of a controller, and see if the game itself still holds up. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Chapters: Intro - 0:00 The Manual - 1:47 Story - 3:38 The Bootup Sequence - 4:27 EVERY Button on The Control...

Don't worry, Steam Deck is still worth your money.

I just purchased my first Steam Deck last month, and despite concerns that it's successor will be revealed within the next year, I believe now is the perfect time to buy this powerful little handheld. This is my first video! More gaming and tech videos on the way. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe! ua-cam.com/channels/KU6z8qFTgB_Qbd4e0Ji-PA.html ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Socials & Other Chann...
TIP: if you want more console/folder icons, click on Structure, then click on Folder Images Set, then change it from Default to ''Faustbear'' whatever that is.
Maybe they’ll finally make Super Mario Odyssey two
I would argue two big reasons actually. 1 ( the biggest i would think): Collector's item. 2. Modding as you stated.
I had an SNES classic edition and i sold it as due to money concerns. Now I'm in a better condition and will buy it again.
Maybe it's just me, i'm also speaking as a switch owner, but "you were amazing" is 100% a hyperbolic statement LMAO, the switch as a whole is a decent console at best, and that's still being generous. The only reason it can be worth buying one is for the exclusive titles Nintendo has, those are what allow Nintendo to keep its fans on a leash "me included", but when it comes to performance it falls short compared to its counterparts. I genuinely hope the Switch 2 is gonna perform AT LEAST on PS4 level, if not that would be pretty disappointing.
I'd like to get one. I was skeptical of getting one years ago when they first came out.
I did this two years ago after my original Switch died just to add more SNES games. Never saw that other systems could be emulated on this mini console. That’s interesting.
play emulator and get retroachievements guys, its a gamechanger
Put MuOS on it and you'll love it even more
where'd you get that stand for the snes? great video by the way, sold me on whether i should get one!
but i want to buy Nintendo switch I don't play any Nintendo switch games I want your advice should I buy it or not
I wish i had one, but there are so many counterfeit ones for sale that i just pulled back from buying one. For now i just stuck with modding my Switch and added the games i want on the NSO emulators + Retroarch
Speaking of old mods, y'all should play my Super Nintendo hack Arcana: Seal of Rimsala! It works perfectly on the Classic! /shamelessplug
I tried playing Mischief Makers (N64) but the game lagged to a crash as I walked forward on the first stage. But yeah, definitely grab your old mods and handheld games!
Could it be possible to mod TMNT rescue-palooza to it?
Ahh the Nintendo Switch, a fine calculator with games.
I modded mine immediately when I bought it back when it came out. 😂
1:10 the old Zelda framework was better. BoTW was a decent Skyrim-clone-with-Zelda-skin But as a Zelda game it sucked. We’re drowning in open world titles, we don’t need any more. TP was peak Zelda
Shut it i just bought my 400 dollar Oled last year
Man, Thanks for featuring my wii theme for snes classic🥰, I also made PC engine mini & TG mini themes for snes classic. Awesome video btw.
The Wii theme has pretty much been my default theme, I have lots of nostalgia for the Wii lol. Great job making this!
I just want a non portable switch, one that is a home console without a screen and joy cons. Just a plain simple console with a pro controller. Then I will finally buy one and play all those good games.
Have you figured out how to play games in full screen with out the bourder sprites
Would adding more games affect the games already on the console, more specifically the save states and/or save data? I have some games with a save state of my favorite levels or part of a game. I’d add just Super Mario All Stars and maybe like 5 more games.
You have good taste in youtubers. MaximilianDood and Mystic are one of my favorites. Great video btw!
Thanks, yeah they're great! Been watching them both for years.
I have both the SNES Classic and Genesis Mini Model 1. And yes, while I do enjoy the games that are listed there, modding them both can make both systems better and it's made me happy.
Hacked mine within a month after. Same withy nes classic. Still have them and play with them. The spares are still sealed in their boxes.
you can do some tweaking on retroarch for banjakoozie
I already nodded mine a few years ago. It looks like updates have been made since. Didn't consider playing n64 games on it.
Hey, why do you have 2 Secret of Manas at 7:29?
Oh right lol. I accidentally added the game file twice.
@@GarrettBuffington You also have 2 Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts at 7:39
great music choice
Mine didn't come with gba. How do I add them?
Should've kept sleeping, video doesn't add anything.
as great as SNES Mini is , here's some fun facts : NES and SNES Minis use the same exact hardware inside. meaning you could play same games on both. also a PSClassic is far more accessible due to selling a lot less and is hackable very easily and can support even more systems to run on it due to a bit more power in them. that's where i play my SNES games on now thanks to Retroarch , it can even run DS games with DraStic just fine. there's also apps like SM64 (and SM64 60fps) , Sonic Mania , OpenLara and more.
"NES and SNES Minis use the same exact hardware inside. meaning you could play same games on both". Yes but try playing SNES games with a NES controller
@@tubesami that is true until you realize both also use the same controller ports. you can also use third party stuff with a converter , i'm sure the Wii Classic Controller also works natively on it because same connector
but they forgot tomodachi :(((( and the theme and music its so sad
Can we talk about how insanely aesthetic his desk set up is. That natural light and green would cure me
Man, I hate it when they trick us and give us a faux analog stick! My go to game to test if it's an actual analog or not is the classic Super Mario 64! If I can't get Mario tip toeing around then you know you've been swindled! 😁
Hakchi2 is awesome and incredibly simple to use for NES, SNES, and both Genesis minis.
I never had one. I still want one
cool video but for the cons I thought you would mention the performance issues. A lot of the flagship games for the system had framerate issues. It also opens up the whole can of worms around piracy (ie people can get better framerates running switch games on an emulator).
It’s the only way to own an official Star fox 2 game.
Switch was terrible for me. I played it mostly as a handheld (It's not stronger than my PC so why bother) and it was okay. I mainly got it for the Bayonetta series and it played those games very well. After I 100% Galaxy 2 the Mario franchise got boring and stale to me, and I want to love Smash but it's bad balancing makes the game hideous to play., so I sold it. Decent console, but lacking specs and is less worthy than PC imo.
switch 2 aint too far from the 1. Unless they add VR. But as far as what's been leaked its not that far. Honestly I just got a switch as a gift lol. Im new to the game and this feels like a whole new console to me. Ima be on this for the next few years idc how late i am. I been on my PS4 & PS5 so i never paid any mind to Nintendo.
Great vid! At first I thought the game switcher was ridiculous (just get up) but now that I think about it it could be awesome if you have friends over for game nights and you have all the classics like Mario Kart and Smash already plugged in so you don’t have to waste additional time looking for the game / swapping them out. Will definitely consider getting one if it winds up working with Switch 2
Yeah exactly. It's great to be able to cycle between your most commonly played games.
Stop calling it “s’ness” it’s Super Nintendo
chill
Wait... my SNES Classic can have the Knight Rider theme playing over the menu? Sign me the fuck up.
animal crossing new horizons is a disappointing half-assed game. new leaf still has more content to this day
I miss having a flip screen too, it was so satisfying to flip open the DS
Does this work with they NES Classic too?
Yes.
