Hey my friend. I'm a Japanese person moving back to Japan soon. But my family is from Toyohashi originally. So ancestrally we are neighbors! Keep doing your thing! Also my friend growing up was also from Trinidad and was a drummer for Miles Davis. Anyways, these are some of the most close minded places in Japan so if you can survive here you can survive anywhere! Respect.

Thank you, I am actually of half Japanese ancestry but live in Hawaii. The cost of living here is ridiculous and I can’t afford to be fully independent with a full time job. I am a disciplined saver though and was able to save over $300k in cash outside of my retirement accounts and I am 33 yo. I am thinking of relocating to Japan and just use the dividends from my savings to take care of my cost of living. With an income focused portfolio I can earn around $2,000 USD a month in dividends alone. I don’t think rural Japan is for me but I would settle for a mid size city like Sendai or any of the surroundings prefectures of Tokyo such as Chiba to save cost. I’m not really looking for a glamorous life, I just want to settle comfortably stress free!

Sad to see you stopped uploading content a year a go, cause your work seems different from most because most videos are about Europeans or Americans in japan and you managed to offer something unique. I hope you come back soon.

You lost me on the 45% for car. Dude, your in Japan! best transit in the world. Got jr line, hankyu if live in Osaka I have Hashin. MY company would pay for the train. I saved so much. Back home country caving a car is just so insane. my key didn't work the other day 200 bucks to fix. My alarm keeps going off. $350 to get looked at. My point is thing I loved about Japan is no car. I mean, I dunno what the country side is like..but if I didn't need it, boom 45% gains.
