Taking the Bobblehead Boys to Ozello

Sadly, very few fish were harmed in the making of this video. Lowest tide I’ve seen in Ozello May have been a factor but it’s called fishing not catching. @KakuKayak #fishingflorida #kayakfishing

Went out fishing with my friend Thomas from Po Fellers Kayak Adventures in Ozello, Fl. Of course, I was having problems using my GoPro again so this is shot on 3 different devices.
After the Storm

As mentioned in this video… 3 of us nearly drowned in a storm 2 days prior. So this was just “getting back in the saddle”

Kaku Zulu in wind and chop

It was just too windy and choppy to fish so we thought we’d explore. The #kakukayak Zulu handled the water easily. We were standing up in our boats in the chop with absolute confidence.
Introducing Kaden to Saltwater fishing and Kaku Zulu

We had the opportunity to take a friend’s son with us this weekend. He wanted to try saltwater and we had an extra Kaku Zulu for him to try. Think he’s hooked on both now.

Nice lookin hats!!!
Oh come on hoss let’s see him bring it in. Cheap vid seriously nothing to see here 😂😂
Thank you for this video. Was on the fence on what to get Old Town or this and thinking a Kaku. I need one for myself and one for my 14 year old son. This kayak seems like it would be safe and enjoyable for him.
I’m glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful. It will be plenty stable for you and your son. My 15 year old has been on a Kaku for a couple years now and he loves it. You’ll find videos on this channel of him out fishing on a Kaku
@@ChurchonthewaterThank you. Instant subscribed! Really appreciate the response.

Standing in the seat with a wake coming by. The wake wasn’t even a factor 😂 these things look crazy stable
They really are very stable. Of all the kayaks I’ve been in the Kaku Zulu and Kaku Voodoo are the most stable.
@@Churchonthewater which do you prefer out of the Zulu and voodoo?
@@MJBjj870 It really depends on where I’m fishing and how much gear I’m bringing. The Voodoo has more deck space but the Zulu eats chop better. Also, my Zulu is pedal drive and the Voodoo is paddle only. It’s really hard for me to choose between the two.
Nice catch
Thank you
Great kayaks
Yezzir I can! Love my kaku
I love my #kakukayaks. Super stable and customizable. By far the best kayaks I’ve ever owned.
How are you liking your kaku?
Hey man i have a question the pedal drive for kaku zulu can do reverse?
Absolutely. Pedal backwards… instant reverse
It was scary
Have you been on any nucanoes and if so how do they compare? i cant decide if i want a nucanoe or kaku
I have been out in a Nucanoe Frontier and it’s stable. More stable than the Zulu or Voodoo? I’d say it’s about the same. The seat and the open deck design of the Zulu and Voodoo really set them apart though. I recommend finding a dealer that will let you demo several different models. Take a rod with you and try casting in each if you plan on fishing out of them. I think Kaku makes the best on the market but what works for me may not work for you.
been looking at getting one of these how hard is it to pedal and would you say the boat is made with great quality? Thanks!
I have 2 Zulus in addition to my Voodoo. One is pedal drive, one has a trolling motor. When I’m in the Zulus I use the pedal drive and let someone else use the motor. It pedals super easy and smooth. It’s easy to lift the pedals up to clear debris out of the prop if necessary and I prefer the instant reverse of pedal drives. It’s like pedaling a recumbent bicycle. I feel Kaku is not only quality made but they’re made with us in mind. Kevin’s goal in making them is they have to paddle well in addition to being able to pedal easily. The Zulu is super stable. I’m 5’11” and 250 and bring another 100 pounds of gear probably. I stand on the deck, stand on the seat, walk around on it. Of all the kayaks I’ve owned, #kakukayaks makes the best in my opinion.
@@Churchonthewater Thank you for this review it is exactly what I was looking for! blessings to you!
@@jakeandlori23 quite welcome. Glad I could help and I hope to see you on the water. Tight lines
How are you liking the Zulu after owning it for awhile? Has the pedal drive given you any issues?
I love the pedal drive. On the way out to the fish it’s great to be able to change my rigging or casually drink my coffee while on the move. I can’t say the pedal drive has ever given me any problems. Rinse after saltwater use and maintain it and you’ll get plenty of miles out of it. Most months mine goes out miles at a time every week.
@@Churchonthewater That's awesome. I'm sold on this thing, gonna be getting one soon. Tight lines, thanks for sharing the fishing footage.
@@chanty2192 thank you for watching. Get you a #kakukayak then get out there and rip some lips.
That is awesome
