yk whats crazy, im getting nostalgia from this song cuz of fallout gaming in the past when I was a kid, what media does for old songs is amazing, this is almost 70+ years out of my generation but I love it so damn much

It's absurd to put a disc on a gramophone that's not in the right format. Start with a 78 rpm disc, then it'll work. It's not a problem of recording era. You could very well record today's music on a 78 rpm disc.

Nice! what 45 record it is? also, you can play modern records somewhat, you just need to shapen the tip of the steel needle and slow it down to 45rpm and that's it. i have done it and it works and it plays fine. If it's still slowing down then try shapening the needle more untill it start's playing properly.

You can play vinyl mate on gramophones but it has to be 78 rpm I’ve been doing it for ages absolutely fine. 45 rpm however are actually shite and shouldn’t be done on a gramophone

I’ve collected for 15 years and have found Zippity Doo Dah Berliner records. Since my hobbies extend beyond 78s and early machines, (45s & LPS, other audio formats, cameras, vintage video, computers) I’ve been very reluctant to purchase a record that’s gonna cost me over $100. (That’s money for 16mm film development ect) and of course the essentials food, bills, all the stuff that comes first…

Beautiful record and the phonograph!

Wash the record with dish washing liquid and warm water. Dry with a diaper or lentless cloth. Get a better stiless. Crackles are from dirt in the groves.

Are there any modern shellac records you can play on your gramophone? Fortionatly you can easly get vinyl records nowadays cuz they are made again, what about shellac ones? Also, can you play a shellac record on a modern record player?

I imagine you can probably buy a gramophone lookalike to play vinyl records though.
