Almost all the trains I saw on this day were SD70Ms which is really rare since most have been put into storage.

On 9/2/24 I got word from my friend @TonyCantu2024 that a military train with an SD70M duo was heading North on the Austin Subdivision. We decided to chase it from San Marcos to Sneed Siding in North Austin. SD70Ms are getting really rare since most are being put into storage so this was a catch to remember.

Yes sir. Turbo fails are scary. 2 years ago a CN train was headed to Edmonton Alberta Canada. The second locomotive blew a turbo. Someone caught it and yelled out to the engineer “The locomotive behind you is on fire.” The train was coming to Acheson Alberta before firefighters could put the fire out

Nice catches! For the Austin sub what all frequencies do y’all use? I’ve finally got a scanner and I’ve got 2 frequencies I use 160.830 & 160.740. Does the Austin sub in the Austin area to Hearne have any others?
