Cooking with Johnny Grilled Eggplant Parmigiana Parmesan with a Twist / Sunday Sauce
Here’s a video of my grilled eggplant parmigiana, a little Different way of preparing it, you must try it, it’s truly delicious.
In the video I used a Sunday sauce I made, but you can use any type of marinara type you like.
Of course if you are a vegetarian, you would not use this type as it had various types of meats.

Can we do the same thing with frozen artichoke ?
OMG! I just came across your video with the marinated artichokes. You are just fabulous and they look so delicious. One clarification, you said they can be stored unrefrigerated until opening? Is that correct? Thank you for teaching me so much more than I ever knew about artichokes. I have only steamed them whole and eaten the leaves and heart! What you did was just beautiful!

Would you think this would work with lemon juice instead of vinegar? I'd love to marinate a bunch of artichoke hearts to use with a chicken artichoke recipe throughout the year but I think the vinegar may be off-putting. Would it work with lemon juice in place of it? If so, would it also work with lemon juice if I canned them in a water bath? My goal is to not have a strong vinegar taste.
Did you succeed? I dont want to use vinegar either..

Today is June 2, 2019. I have a bunch of tiny artichokes. I followed the recipe. Oh man oh man, they were great. Nothing but compliments.
soooo much better than store canned crap..
Great recipe, but my countertop steamer needs to cook them for longer than 3 minutes to tender them. Maybe your cooktop steamer is hotter? Also, I never really got the stems to taste good enough to leave them on. Do you harvest your own artichokes while theyre young or are these store bought?

i worked in this italian style restaurant once and we ordered these marinated artichokes from this deli company that gets their produce from italy and oh my god they where fucking amazing. just during service i was eating them all the time

I absolutely Love you. Lol..your recipe reminds me of what I knew as Chadone. Lost the recipe..it was a stiffer dough with egg yolk wash. Inside was ricotta cheese and sliced pepperoni,Italian sausage...Every Easter it was on the table..Would you help me figure it out? Please ..I still have the Sweet filled recipe I would Love to share with you..Thank you Johnny....
