    My journey started 6 years ago, an amateur who seeks a way to lash out the pimped up emotions I carry due to depression. Something magical happens when I pick up the pen, as if the world blurs and the paper is a person willing to take every thought I tell, and so I wrote. Now, 6 years later, I'm a director, scriptwriter, a journalist with multiple awards, and now a novelist seeking to publish his work. I never dropped the pen, I just had so much to tell to this paper that I kept on writing the stories i've heard, made, and will ever hear or make. Writing is a task indeed only demons undertake, and honestly if that was the case, then I'm in hell's darkest pits. Yet I couldn't stop, so long as the pen had ink and I never ran out of stories, the paper will always hear something about me. So I became the man who talks on a sheet of paper, just like the greats, the novices, and those who came before. It's tiring, but it is the burn of writing that drives me forward to at least drip every bit of ink that I could ever let flow.

    Make time for things that matter. Or as the author of Big Magic says: Treat writing as you would an affair. Find the little moments in the day to dedicate to it.

    Some of the movies from which the scenes in this video are taken actually received mixed to poor receptions. Whether that's justified for these films or not, I like the fact that even a bad story can inspire others to tell brilliant stories!

    I started writing a book....send two chapters to my close friends and they loved it and kept asking for the rest of the chapters but i didn't like how the story was going inside my head so i deleted the whole book but those whole chapters are inside me as a movie.... I'm too scared about the characters....how they will collide and end up but they are still hanging in the middle.... I just can't bring out myself to write that book....maybe it will eventually be buried with me for good.

      Creating a good book takes years. Just write down what you have. If it is a story that you're meant to write, other ideas will support it. Let your brain create the story naturally. But make shire it is pleasing to the Lord. God bless.

    Writing is creating a new life, it's addictive and take a lot of time from the day and it's need to be fixed again and again until it will come as good as you believe in it to be. it's a lonely road for whoever decides to take it but all of that worth if you are really ready for all the ups and downs you will be going through until you will actually get to have the book you were working on for so long in your hands

    I am told not to think, but just keep writing. Why is it tough, why is it nauseating, why doesn't it feel like signing up for a trek when you’re a cripple and unwillingly doing it? Is it because I am writing to constantly assess what my reader would feel? I should not; it's my first draft, but it is immensely hard. Why am I writing in the first place? I don't know, I don't know the end goal. Maybe there really is no end goal? Can I not write if I don't have experience? Why do I feel so much, yet so little? Why does it feel good to not feel too intensely? A part of me wants to drift away into a creative realm, find someone to discuss and talk to about the book. Say that I have something to offer, a deep something, that I am struggling to put into words. I'm almost dying inside trying to understand what my heart is trying to tell me. So maybe I can only keep writing about this moment, the capacity of emotions related to memory that this body, heart, and mind of mine can withstand. Why does that scare me? To fear that I will not be able to share the depths of my feelings, my thoughts, ideas, and wishes that could possibly resonate and make sense to a certain somebody or another body makes me sink in loneliness. Like a climber that does not have support to vertically rise up. I am not saying that only that somebody will get me there, but when I am on my way to getting there, I'd like somebody with me. That constant feeling of insufficiency and dissatisfaction, I know I could do more, but I am not able to part…"

    I want be a good writer in English... But the problem English isn't my 1st language & I have started writing only from 4 years ago... It is so painful to enhance this literature perfectly... whenever I read any book always lost in finding meaning of words ...

    • @ilushan1
      @ilushan1 5 місяців тому

      Don't worry! Just keep writing a little bit every day and eventually words will fall into place. English is my second language, but in the last couple years I've even grown to dream in it. Just watch movies, read books, try talking to natives and listen to song lyrics. I find that stand up and poetry work best, as both genres are very particular in their approach to language. I'd also recommend not obsessing too much over the quality of your writing. Writing a hundred pages of pure shit will get you more practice than creating one page of literary perfection. Much love and good luck!

    I come back to this video, from time to time. I've been working on my novel for six years. I worked out it through alcohol and pill recovery. And, though I haven't completely kicked alcohol, I am now 7 years clean of abusing pills. My novel is now done. 119k words. 320 pages. I never thought it would end, but it did. Because I kept moving those keys. Rewriting. Smoothing. Digging deeper until I thought it was bedrock, and even then, beneath, it was only infinite stars. I am grateful for this video. I now begin book 2 of my duology.
