We walked along there many years ago, Tom. We played some crazy golf and then had a lovely lunch in the golf club next to it! Assuming they are all still there!

I could almost have written your script for you today Tom. One of mt cozens from Jersey, Gordon Chapman, took me to the Watersplash for my 17th. birthday. As you say it was a club in those days with some quite exotic acts. Not to mention that a bit of under age alcohol was also consumed. Yes, those were the days.

Thanks for the history lesson Tom, I certainly didn’t know when I moved to Jersey that the Island is steeped in history. The railings I wonder who is responsible for them as it goes through three parishes or is it the states responsibility ?. I used to go to the water splash when I first moved to Jersey. I was friendly with three Jersey Guy’s I worked with and was asked if I wanted to go with them on the Saturday to the water splash. One guy was a surfer and had a VW van so off we went had a great evening and picked up four girls. On the way back to one of the guy’s homes we were stopped at a road check in St Peter and he knew one of the guys. We all had a skint full and to my astonishment he said ok straight home now and enjoy your evening. So it’s who you know and things are probably much different today. Cheers 🏌🏻‍♂️⛳️ 🐕‍🦺.

Hi tom ,have you ever considered showing the german bunker locations, ? In france ,normandy the french have practically built their economy on the german fortifications. Its a thought for your channel, if so you can purchase a map at the german underground hospital now renamed jersey war tunnels .giving the locations of these bunkers and exsplaining their individual positions of defence. Or you could consider showing the filming locations of the bergerac series ,that is still showing on tv throughout europe .it might interest some viewrs .?? I noticed paddy tried to slip down the steps to the beach tom😂 a lovely walk tom

Happy new year Tom to you and the family. As I’m seventy in two months I’ll settle for the healthy bit and hopefully playing good golf. St Ouen was always a favorite of my dad, and on a visit one year we had lots of time to kill before his flight home. He wanted to go to El Tico for a Jersey cream tea and sit and watch the surfing out in the bay. We sent him off a happy man, as my dad loved Jersey and my sister would tell us he wouldn’t stop talking about his holiday for a month bless him. Good golfing Tom, and please think about filming a couple of holes with your brother or friends at the Royal in 2025. Cheers 🏌🏻‍♂️⛳️ 🐕‍🦺

In 1987 my wife and I visited Jersey for the first and only time. We very much enjoyed several walks along the north coast including Bouley bay, Bonne Nuit bay and Greve de Lecq. The wonderful views out to sea from the top of the cliffs, the various brackens, gorse. heaths and heathers, oaks and broom, and the twisting narrow paths down to the harbours in the bays still live in our memories of a memorable holiday.

Happy new year to you tom and your family and all your dedicated subscribers and your regular commentors for 2025 , the whole stretch of this coastline from corbier to crosnez is truly amazing, great news with regards your medical tom , i think its down to that reluctant outdoorsman bloke and his pacemaker doggy paddy g has had something to do with it .😅, thanks for bringing great joy in 2024 , and no doubt to us all for posting your walks on this magical island and bringing back memories to those who can no longer visit .

May 2025 be a healthy and contented year for you Tom, on this walk you remind me of the summer of '62, The WaterSplash Night Club, (Elegant in those days), drumming for Ronnie Hilton. To differentiate twixt, the cast called Hilton, Ronnie and I became Young Ron. A name I embraced then as now, only then it was true. All the very vey best and thank you from........Young Ron.

The sand dunes over the road was a favorite of ours many years ago now. We would take a picnic and a couple of light chairs and spend a few hours just relaxing. I used to take my sand wedge and practice bunkers shots, and before anyone says it’s protected land I didn’t take chunks out of the grass only the sand in which many looked like bunkers. I don’t make New Year’s resolutions anymore as I used to break them all. I used to like La Braye cafe as the did a mean burger and a big mug of tea, happy days. Cheers 🏌🏻‍♂️ & 🐕‍🦺

Beautiful! I haven't walked the dunes there... not yet anyway. But I'll be back in just over a week. May see what a January walk there brings. I resolve in 2025 to visit Jersey more, have more great walks and watch more of your videos. Moaning or not! 😂.

Hi tom you have shown me parts of this coast I had not walked with regards its fortifications burried in the dunes, this part of the island is for the wind surfers ,sea surfers and I had noticed the thrill seekers fly their parachutes and kites off of the very top of the cliff top dunes. Yes tom the food is great at le breye and at el ticos , reference new years resolution I'm going to learn to say no to my former customers ,wanting plumbing work ,some has reverted to knocking on my door ,because my gate keeper Kim says no to them on the phone ,lets see how long this resolution will last😊 probably not long ,so keep moaning tom .because your family will think there is something wrong ! 😂😂😂 , thanks for bringing these fantastic views to your channel,

Hi Tom. Hope you had a nice Christmas, with nice weather. We had unbelievable weather.. 14+ degrees so not even a coat needed on Christmas day.. The Easter eggs are in along with the Easter bunnies 🤣 and we have hardly our Christmas pudding digested yet Thanks for yet another video. I think you said early August, if so my family were maybe there, driving around.. I might get over next year but hotels seem to think of a number then double it 🙄. Anyway we'll see.. Its been a mixed up kind of week/weekend.. My son and family are in Scotland with in laws for hogmany.. Total party animals. .. Wish I was there 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 too All the best for now ☘️☘️

I wish I had a tenner every time I’ve walked along this stretch of beach over the years. I hope you had a good Christmas with the family and are now feeling fit and well to walk off the food And wine with some new content. The hips sound like old age is catching up Tom as I have similar problems. I have changed my diet to cut out as much sugar as possible and not a great lot of alcohol. As sugar is not good for your joints and I swear I feel a lot better. Sometimes a change of diet can help a great deal. I can’t remember that house overlooking the beach must be newish. Cheers

Hi Tom. As usual I fell asleep watching this so I must have missed your "stumble". Easily done though.. I remember going over on my ankle whilst descending the hill between Biarritz hotel and Quaisne my ankle swole up like a bap (as they say) Hope you are OK... Even though it's weeks later now.. The days are on the turn 👏👏not long until Easter 😂.. Im not a winter person..❄️ Bring on the sunshine I say 🏖️ Anyway, keep up the good work... Hi Tom, lovely video of Bouley Bay and I'm glad it was longer! Paddy certainly enjoyed himself. It is freezing cold, very windy and pouring with rain here so it was lovely to pay a visit to the beach at gorgeous Bouley Bay! That's fabulous news about your medical check, all that walking and hill climbing must be paying dividends, what a lovely Christmas present.
