IRON MAIDEN'S "Mission From 'Arry" Explained! - Powerslave B-side 1983
I remember this interview. The album was called "Trash", and so he showed up to the interview driving a garbage truck.
Wrong interview. That was Laurie Brown, and it came out after this one. Fortunately, I still have it. Watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/cFBSV6sxBZ4/v-deo.html
@@GrabAStackofRocK I stand corrected. Mmmmm..... Laurie Brown.
Desperado!
KILLER is top 5 all-time.
Top man 👺💀
Love your album From the Inside 1978. Still have the vinyl. ❤
That is definitely an album to own on vinyl!
I love Winger to this day REB BEACH is a pure badass
Yes he is, I was lucky enough to see him with Alice Cooper.
Lots of goodies!
Apparently there was one "gold ticket" which entitles you to see every show on this tour. I did not get the golden ticket.
Hi Mike and Harrison, thanks for sharing this. I've been enjoying my standard (CD) version of the album.
I'll be able to start enjoying mine this week!
@@GrabAStackofRocK , let me know what you honestly think ,
Pretty sure it was my first Alice Cooper cassette, as well. Such a great introduction to the man. Teenage Lament '74 is still a favorite of mine.
Ever see him live ? I met him once , working at a local golf club at the time , he a big golfer for years now . Humble , quiet , nice guy ..,
I have twice - both times with Eric Singer on drums. Once around 1999, once in 2006 with Helix opening.
@@GrabAStackofRocK , sweet ..,
When I was a kid and heard that name (before I’d heard any music), I thought Alice Cooper was a girl. 😂
sadly looks like with my schedule I will net get up north this Summer , but still have a few concerts on the docket .., nice vid ,
What concerts do you have coming up?
@@GrabAStackofRocK , Deep Purple late August , and Priest in September
@@Matias-music-71 then I should tell you, I just got my =1 box set. Unboxing video really soon.
@@GrabAStackofRocK , you heard the album yet ? I myself not as taken as many .
@@Matias-music-71 I have not yet. I love Pictures of You, Portable Door, and Lazy Sod, so I assume I will like the album.

@@fionalewis9389 Muchmusic 1993, Winger were in their studio to play live
@@GrabAStackofRocK keep my mouth shut I apologise 😔
Lovely video and looks like a wonderful time spent
Hey D'Arcy!! It was, and we're back in two days.
you made useful ~ Grab!
Thanks!
❤❤❤
Hi Mike (and Harrison and Marco) I saw Mike's recent anniversary post on this, and I realized that although I had seen a follow up show on the documentary, I had never seen this earlier show, so I decided to watch it. Very interesting and enjoyable in its own right but also because it turned out to be the last LeBrain Train show.
Hey Henry! I barely remember anything about this show...I was just not into it at that point in time anymore, about 2 years ago. Then I came back to it about 3-4 months later, but it took until mid-2023 for me to find my own feet again. I know this was just before the film premiered. I remember we had Martin on. I should add Martin's name to the title so we can get more views! Thanks for watching!
35yrs ago I was getting 12 cassettes for a penny. I miss those day
Me too! Signed up in '89. But I had to wait until we got home from the cottage before I could get them! Now, music delivers right to the lake.
You lost me at mention of Bon-Jovi… 🥦🗣💨
I can't change the album credits, dude.
Love how Eric just says “Alright, good.” After she can’t think of anything to say but “oh, same age as me!” Because what else do you say when Eric looked like he could have been 22 with that face or edging 40 with that signature rasp to his voice? Ageless!
@@ItsVictoriaG and he still sounds great today! The new Big CD is great!
I remember Kramer making a Gorky Park signature guitar that was shaped like a traditional Russian balalaika.
Yes! There is a picture inside the CD as well.
Humble. They receive these awards only not to be rude. All the while, Alex charms you, so you won't feel uncomfortable .
Humble is a great word to describe the three members of Rush!
Very cool!!! Congrats ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 ❤❤❤❤
Thanks! Under $20 too for a Japanese import. Now what shall I buy this weekend? I love Amazon deliveries at the cottage...because it was so isolated for so many years.
@@GrabAStackofRocK Can’t beat a deal like that!!
1:13 + 1:45 ❤❤😭🙏
Chris DeGarmo was the driving force behind this band (and their interviews), and when he left - they drifted. '82 to '92 Queensryche were their glory days and they would spend the rest of their time trying to recapture that magic. By the time Promised Land came about they got so abstract many fans of their previous work couldn't follow along - I was among them. Promised Land was dark non-rhythmic droning.
That’s cool! Dude I just got two birthday-related Amazon deliveries today! One I ordered with birthday monies, and one from a real gent of a guy!
Excellent...now I must decide what to order for this weekend!
@@GrabAStackofRocK There will be KMA posts on this stuffs eventually. And your parcel from here is supposed to go out today (dropped off Saturday but waited for today to get going), and they said Thursday for delivery to you but I think it'll be faster. And yeah, it was lovely receiving an (unsolicited) 50th gift when I sent out a few myself over the last few years! Let me know when you get the parcel, we can do a quick video for your channel if you want. Or you can hang onto it and bring it with you to open on Saturday if we meet up, which would be hilarious (didn't need to mail it lol). Just let me know!
Dude, 1989 was, like, 10 years ago, wasn’t it?
My hair indicates otherwise lol.
@@GrabAStackofRocK Well my hair went away, so...
Really Enjoyed watching this! I began becoming a Journey Fan Infinitely was going into HS and my Hometown was in a Great area Dallas Tx was just 2 hours West of me and Shreveport La. 60 miles East and Houston Tx 3.5 hours south of me and concerts in the late 70s was so many and so affordable my first time getting to see Journey Live Evolution Tour and what a combo Thin Lizzy opened and Journey Headlined Blew me Away went to Departure Tour Next and so I really Liked hearing live recordings and Captured still a Favorite then Jonathan Cain and Escape was Big and got to go to Houston Escape Tour which MTV broadcast live and ended up aDVD Cd release later in 1982 Journey Headlined The Texxas Jam and got to hear Separate Ways before it was recorded then in Dallas 83 Journey played 3 sold out shows Frontiers Tour my 2nd Favorite Band was Triumph who I ended up getting to see 9 times would have Loved more also Sammy Hagar was right there and in 1983 2 weeks after Triumph played US Festival they were were going to be at Texxas Jam and Sammy Hagar was coheadliner and Ted Nugent was right there staring with Triumph they got more than 70 thousand fans up and Sammy Hagar was a Favorite he played nearly all 10 years they had those I Really Liked HSAS and remember MTV playing a live show from them then Raised On Radio and in 86 and 87 my last 2 Journey and Triumph ccncerts for a while until Triumph in early 90s without Rik and Phil Ex finally in 1994 Steve Perry solo and got to see his tour knowing next was Journey Trial By Fire and was so Happy but waiting then the live cd Frontiers tour liked that but still waiting for tour and I had just met my wife to be in Houston and it was announced Journey was playing smaller venues Vacation Over Tour I was elated and was ok that a new Steve was singing and got to take my wife to be to that concert they played longer and did several instrumental songs Loved it next year Journey was on tour and Foriegner opened and took my wife to Dallas Great show Rocked then I Really Loved Arrival cd anonymous 4th Favorite cd and we had our Daughter with in. A year after getting married and my Daughter from 3 months old started going to concerts with us her Favorite Band by age 3 was Journey I had studio version and 3 different live recordings of Her Favorite Song The Nana Song and she wanted to hear all 4 in a row at age 3 we had been in Destin Florida and my Daughter and I were going to Disney first time on the way I found out Journey was in Tampa Florida that night only 90 minutes out of the way I was not sure how to tell my wife so we stopped she was in store and I told my 3 year old daughter and she insisted we go by age 6 years old she had gotten to see Journey 5 times I Really Liked Steve Aguri in Journey his Songs suited him and then I was working in Las Vegas in 2006 and I drove to San Bernadno Ca and saw The Journey Def Leppard concert with Jeff Scott Soto I remember they announced he was hired and not very long after not the Singer and by 2008 Journey released a new cd with new Singer Arnel and I actually bought a few extra cds and gave them to some customers I Really liked the new songs but I didnt think re recording Journey Classic Steve Perry Songs with Arnel singing them I understand Live but the studio thing was not my favorite but I have seen Arnel more as lead singer than anyone and I am going next month to my 24th Journey concert in 2001 a big fundraiser for NY Transit Police and it was Great Classic Rock Bands Styx REO Kansas Bad Company several Journey headliners and they did 2 big shows my wife and Daughter and I went Great Neil Jonathan and Steve came out in between bands and did a acoustic version Trial By Fire!
Wow you have seen just about everything! I always liked Soto and would have liked an album with him, but clearly they did the right thing in getting Arnel in the band.
Luckily I lived like a 25 minute walk to downtown , went to high school like 5 minutes from downtown .., had a couple part time jobs , so for me hitting up the record stores downtown was a regular thing . We had like 4 or 5 back then just in the core in Kitchener ., 87 to maybe 91 , then things started changing . Enjoy your score my friend , and the cottage !
We had A&A within walking distance (10 minutes) but the cottage was a summer of isolation. Not anymore!
Enjoyed this bonus episode, Mike and John.
The "Hooked On Classics" are a great way to experience classical music as well.
Noted - although I think at this point, I'm more looking to buy albums that are focused on one composer.
Ahhh the prequel to the “Blah..blah…blah” speech for the Hall of Fame!🤘😝🤘
Very much so!
DAT INTERVIEWER THO -HMMMM MMMMM
Erica Ehm is a Canadian treasure and a legend in the music scene. Unfortunately she receives a lot sexist comments here on this and other videos.

Their impact cannot be measured, they are so legendary.
“Good luck Johnny” -any drummer
Neil Peart praised Johnny Fay as one of his favourite Canadian drummers. I think Johnny sounds great here!
@@GrabAStackofRocK I didn’t know that! No offence to JF. I just don’t think he is an elite player like NP. I’m sure he did a good job and Gord sounds good too.
He's definitely rocking a different style of drumming from Neil!
Sounds like Ozzy doing RUSH haha
LOL! Now that's something I wanna hear!
I prefer defender
Then you are with Harrison, which is not bad company to be in!
Waite sorry what i meant to say is i prefer defender lol
Yes that is what Harrison picked, so you are in good company!

Alex almost got arrested for saying he wrote all The Beatles' material! 😂
@@lateramae I hope that was a joke lol
@@GrabAStackofRocK I'm assuming yes because Alex is well, Alex lol!
He's definitely the joker of the band!
@@GrabAStackofRocK And I love him for that!
Remember their Rock And Roll Hall of Fame induction? I thought it was hilarious, a lot of people thought it was disrespectful. Which is why I liked it.
220 shows a yr .... and now ....he can barely fill a phonebooth 😂😂😂
This gig is larger than a phonebooth, and got rave reviews... ua-cam.com/video/k-GFDoYxr_0/v-deo.html What good is trashing or making fun or the musicians whose music we love? Only serves to bring the community down.
Insinuating that someone is a "has-been" is funny coming from someone that is a "never-was".
Over 40 years now!
A remarkable stretch!
Happy Birthday, Mike!
Thank you Henry!
Please keep it coming. I got to live my dream and am still living it. In part to this band. Love always Andrew Gonzales Reel Big fish drummer. Thank you... always
