Rachel (Mom and former nurse) told me the story of a former patient/music student that never took the reed off of his saxophone. He grew black mold spores inside of his horn and mouthpiece which caused him to become very sick. Play this video for every beginning student and parent in order to avoid major health risks.

I Wear dentures, so i tend to pop a finger or two up my anus while playing clarinet, ( a thumb if it's the Sax 🎷)
Estas meninas são SHOW !!!!
I just purchased a used yamaha xeno ytr 8345g that will save me from quitting llol😂
Keep up the good work it makes me smile that kids are taking up the trombone , surely the best sound any band can have , you have a great trombonist and you have a great sounding band
Excellent
Just met Lannie today at Owen Brennan's, a true Master Saxophonist.
Indian price please
I just picked up a 8335 Xeno. Wow!!
8335 is much easier to play than Strad 37
How thick again? Lol…
FORA DE SÉRIE
Lindíssimas composição e execução...!
What was the straight tenor that he used in this video?
Que Duo maravilhoso. Parabéns, Corina e Elisa.
You should review the new LIBRE clarinet ligature sold on ebay
Sensacional
Those look like nice long sticks. How long are they? and where do you get them?
China is junk! Buy a Getzen Eterna 2 . Made in America . I agree . I was weaned on a Mt Vernon Bach in 68. Start with a quality instrument ! You will enjoy playing it with a better tone.
Who in their right mind would ever buy a horn from China!?? It's junk and just cheap ripoffs.
@@IAMBENNYBLANCO. life is too short!
Why didn't you explain or demonstrate the M13 and 5RV ?
☝🏻
As a newbie... what is the second tuning slide used for?
Definição de genio:elisa.de virtuosismo todas as meninas!
Esqueceram do nome e autor da composição. Será "Lágrimas do Jurataí " da própria Elisa ?
Reminds me of my down home music back east where I'm from. Great harmonizing, this was a great connection between soul and blues music. We don't have alot of this out here in the midwest so much. Man I love southern music.
What is your warm up and where can I find it, it sounds like a great way to warm up.
Bela apresentação. Parabéns Meninas. Bjs
Podiam colocar o nome e o autor da composição.
Belíssima apresentação!! São mesmo geniais essas meninas ! Queria muito saber que composição é essa !!!!!!
Thanks for sharing.
Mim
Maravilhosas sempre !!! Qual nome desta música !! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️
This absolute madman putting his ring and pinky finger below the 3rd slide. Using my middle finger is actually MUCH better for controlling the third slide, I have no independent dexterity in my ring finger. But it hurts quite a bit resting the trumpet on my ring finger from below. How do I hold this thing ughhhhh (for context I have been playing for 7 years and still cannot figure out how to hold a trumpet comfortably while having good control over the slides!)
Can a beginner start on an f attachment?
yes but for obvious reasons it's not common for that to be the case
good instructional video but it seem like the trumpet player was talking too fast. Like he was in a hurry. The worst part is when they cut off "I remember clifford": a few more precious seconds at least.
that tongue thing to increase air speed is foreign me...i am going to keep at it...thus far i can do takatakata....and tatatata
It SHOULD be foreign to you, its nonsense. It's just something trumpet players hear and then repeat. They have no idea what the air speed is. The tongue movements are related to embouchure effort. And the lips control the pitch. THATS WHY THE LIPS ARE CHANGING DUDE! THEY ARE CONTROLING THE PITCH!!
@@darryljones9208 yes the lips does control the pitch, but to what extent does the tongue affect the pitch?
@@da11king, the tongue has no direct effect on pitch.
Of course you play on a Backun mouthpiece Mr. Backun t-shirt.
Hi, would it matter if the 2nd tuning slide has a dent in it? Will it make a difference in sound or is it just cosmetic?
To be fair, kids in band often don’t get proper instruction on the specific details of their instruments-through no fault of their band teacher. Band teachers often are only experts in their own instrument, and can’t give the level of guidance necessary.
My sax reed dries flat in my reed holder. There's no reason for anyone to leave Reeds on mpc. They play incredible if they are stored in a reed holder. They stay the same reed color, everything is great. My Reed's last at least a year.
I'm a clarinetist, but how can your reeds last that long? After a few days to about two weeks, mine are already really bad and don't respond well anymore at all. I store them in a proper reed holder everyday after practicing. My teacher also says that that's normal and I should change reeds every two weeks, but why do other people's reeds last for an eternity and mine and my teacher's don't? Thanks in advance!
@@lelafritzer2955 Hi Lela, Clarinetist’s get bad info, same as truck drivers or any other field. My sax instructor at University level was a master clarinetist. Dr Jacobs explained you start with one whole size harder than the reed size you’re using. Keep the center untouched. Hold up into the light and shave your sides equal to each other- with the center strong (darker color in the light) Toward center tip, sand against grain toward the tip. Leave tip untouched-sanding on angle toward tip. When sides are lighter color with middle of reed stronger (darker) with tip of reed virtually un-sanded, now put on the mpc. Your reed should blow your socks off. Far too many teachers don’t teach like Dr Jacobs. My University receptionist told me, he passed away. Such a great loss, but he lives in my head. I still do the process of preparing my reeds precisely as he told me all those years ago. Your name is very pleasant, beautiful. Lela, the reason reeds won’t hold up- you’re starting with a weak read in first place. Purpose of the center dark color, you want sides to be weaker but center (heart- stronger)...it is the sounding part of the reed. Try Dr Jacobs method of preparing your reeds. People waste a lot of money on reeds needlessly. I even have a reed tool kit. Oboe musicians have to sand a V away from the tip. Their reeds are even lighter than clarinet reeds. Reeds are a big issue but people don’t have to waste money on them, the musician must prepare them. I prepare every reed. I buy aged cane. 30-50 year old reeds. I buy online boxes which look like they have set around for all those years. Reeds inside are a treasure. They’re new, unplayed. But a masterpiece in the hands of someone like you!
So is the trigger you are referring to essentially the F attchment?
The trigger changes the airflow to the f attachment thus changing the key of the instrument
Nice
