No i mow ant piles and blow dirt to neighbors yards . And spray termite mounds when i discovered them ,but they have made an impression on house im thinking of catching or buying bookoos anole lizards to roam free thanks Katrina i doubt Louisiana has either gold or diamonds.

One time I went to a mountain type area there was a river flowing right between the mountains, I knew very little about geology then I started searching for gemstones I searched for about an hour but had no luck or rather my technique was off

When i was a kid, my family and i would go camping every once in awhile. During one camping moment we went to a stream to swim and look for small fish and crawfish. But my mom looked for pretty looking rocks. She ended up finding a long heavy semi transparent pink stone. Size of a pint of milk - carton. It had sparkling thin layers of yellow metal. And weighed more than 25 lbs. I didn't know what it was. She took it home and always placed it next to our plants. Thinking about her stone, about 8 or 9 years ago, her stone just disappeared. It was most likely stolen from a burglar in our apartment. And she has no idea what it was. It was a huge rose quartz with a gold vein inside the crystal. The gold inside made the stone very heavy

So, long story short, as much as it may be true to say that these other stones mentioned may be worth more than some diamonds, it is disingenuous to suggest that they are more valuable than diamonds in general, let alone, "more valuable than any diamond ever found". You do yourself, and, others a disservice by making such erroneous claims.

Midwest US. I want to find stones I can commission someone to cut and put into a ring, which I can propose with (if I’m lucky).

I've found about 6-7 crystal but I don't know if it's diamond or not coz in my place where I'm staying there's no one or no jewellery store to identify such stone, so I just stored them in jar to decorate with LED.

Yea , some are valuable. But no one ever tells you who or where you can sale them for big money. I have hundreds of quartz crystals and other semi-precious stones. Not one person has offered a dime for them. And yes I have shown them and advertised them. Guess what? NO TAKERS. WHO BUYS THEM????? Where can you sell them?????

All we find here in southwest Virginia tends to be quartz with tons of limestone. We find the rare fossil, but not much else. Doesn’t stop me from bringing home tons lol! 😎

The refractive indices of minerals like molybdenite (R.I. 3.7) and silver (R.I. 3.9) are considerably higher than that of cinnabar (R.I. 3.5) just FYI

I found agate close to Las Vegas area, they look so pretty. I can imagine if I cut them how beautiful they'll look
