Adding texture to my diorama | Building Lizardmansion - Episode 2
Переглядів 1202 роки тому
In the second episode of the Good Mood's new series, we see the vision described in the first episode begin to take physical shape. And I do mean begin. Anyone hoping to see this diorama anywhere near completion will be sorely disappointed. There is minimal hobbying in the video, and important footage showing how the methods described are actually applied to the diorama is absent. This results ...
Good Mood Performance Review
Переглядів 912 роки тому
State-of-the-channel UA-cam videos, often posted around the time of the new year, are the height of self indulgence. All the more so in the case of channel with no viewership. This is one of the those. In this attempt, we see old stereotypes about workplace relations lazily offered as a scaffold for boring facts about the previous year's output and unambitious goals for the future. 2 stars.
Building Lizardmansion | Episode 1: The Vision
Переглядів 623 роки тому
In this video, the Good Dude describes a large hobby project. Despite selling itself as a hobby video, there is very little hobby*ing* in this video. Instead, the viewer is subjected to irritating and self-indulgent shots of the presenter's face. These are accompanied by the dull and poorly mixed recordings of the presenter's voice. The project itself is somewhat interesting. It has a clear, th...
Coronavirus Returns!: Finally Painting the Coronaman
Переглядів 963 роки тому
In this thrilling sequel to one of the Good Mood's most viewed videos of 2020, the Good Dude finds himself in lockdown along with many on Australia's eastern region. In this story of a once-young man overcoming adversity, a project that has lain dormant for one year is given life. Paint is applied to brush, and brush touches miniature. So too has the Coronaman touched our lives and hearts, leav...
Giving up on my hobby projects (for now)
Переглядів 2683 роки тому
I've been struggling to do any work on my Blood Bowl or Lizardmansion dioramas. It's time to give up and work on some hobby that has nothing to do with lizards. At least for now.

My T'au Empire 40k Tribute to Daft Punk

I've been thinking about doing a T'au Fire Warrior / Daft Punk mash-up for a while. In this video, I finally do it as a tribute to the duo that disbanded in February 2021. Green Stuff World vs AK Interactive: Paper plant comparison
Переглядів 5 тис.4 роки тому
In this video, I compare the new Green Stuff World paper plants to some AK Interactive paper plants. My final thoughts: I think the AKI ones look more realistic, but I find them more difficult to work with because they are thinner and more delicate. Although I was initially worried about using paints that were too thin because I thought they might damage the paper, I was confident enough to use...
Overcoming Hobby Funk / Miniature Painting Burnout (by painting an Artisan Guild orc pin up)

In this video, I'm going to try and recapture my passion for miniature painting by painting an orc babe from Artisan Guild. It's also orctober (orktober?), so why not paint an orc? Hahaha, fantastic video and an amazing mini! You’ve got me hooked-I’m looking forward to the next one! 😊
Thanks so much! I'm so glad you're here for the journey! 🦖
The algorithm brought me here. Your art and commentary is great! Hope my like and comment helps it spread❤
Thanks you for your message - your like and comment has certainly helped my spirit! I appreciate your support! 🦖
wicked hahahah
😍😍I'm not worthy I'm not worthy! Thanks very much - you've made my day! 🦖
the youtube algorithm usually sucks, but it brought me to this video so it clearly does some things right! (your art is so cool and you're also GREAT at making videos!!) <33
I'm glad the algorithm led you here! Thanks for the kind words - you've really brightened my day! I hope I can stay motivated to continue making videos!🦖
HA, love the concept dude 😂Glad to see you're doing well and still on the Lizardman grindset 🦎
I am very happy to be back. I've got so many minis that need to get to be built and painted! And I've felt very guilty about not getting them done. I am 100% lizard grinding. Thanks for visiting! 🦖
I’m loving the mixing of drinks, metaphors and fast foods .. thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced, creative and inspiring video!! Almost makes me think I should get in and make one for my little channel - almost! Don’t keep us waiting too long for the next one - real, individual and entertaining enthusiast stuff is far too rare! 🧚♀️❤️🐝🇦🇺
I'm glad you liked it and that you're inspired! You should make a video too - but do it for you! Fingers crossed I can make my next video before the end of the year. Wow that's really a big ask for me! 🦖😂
So good!!!
Thanks very much!
Love the mascot!
He loves you too! Thanks for watching!
Also you can use talc as a mould release
Thanks for the tip!
Try this with low temp glue sticks.... works the same at 1/10 the price
Smart! More money for more important things
AK look far more realistic
True! They are very delicate and do look much nicer. But sometimes I like the cartoon style of the other ones
Really awesome stuff 🔥♥️✨
Thanks so much! One day this dream will come true
He is the very best that he can be right now, but, imagine the potential. Who, how, when, why, etc will he grow and be later one. That’s you my man *wink* *wink* ❤
Thank you so much for your positivity! I'm imagining the potential thanks to you. Much love!
You said it: result depends on the effort you put in the work of the mould.... And project, and painting, in everything, as a matter of fact! Good job, man!
Thanks very much! I appreciate the wisdom and kind words!
I did the same thing with the GSW pack
I love to hear it. And what were you thoughts?
@@TheGoodMood I was a little annoyed at how easily they tore
Promo-SM 🤤
🦖 You're making me hungry!
Good to Gnome you've retunred...
glorious 🤣🤣🤣
Glad to see you uploading and getting back into the hobby man, you do some amazing work
Thanks! That means a lot 😁
HE HATH RETURNED 🙌 Great to see you alive and kickin' man. Time to shake off the rust and get some minis painted 😁
I love how epic you make it sound! Time to shake off the rust indeed!
I like him
He likes you too
i’m making a green stuff cannabis plant 😂not to difficult so far started by painting it with an airbrush while on the sheet now removing is it too bad so far . i would have liked some instructions.
Haha that's awesome. I hope it turned out well. They really should put some instructions up on their website or something. Rather than making people need to figure out and possibly make easily avoided mistakes.
Blow us away.
I will try
make snakes , then wrap that around wire such as a paperclip. then reroll. You now have a strong cord that is supportive and can be bent once the green stuff has set. Greenstuff is better than milliput for cables as it hardens with enough flex it can still be bent, where as milliput has no flex and is brittle.
This is really good advice. Thanks very much! I think I'll use this idea for vines soon
Great looking Swamp Strider . Good color choice that copper colour , a great contrast to the Skink creatures 👍
Thanks a bunch! I really appreciate it. Colours can be a real struggle for me sometimes! 🦖
F-ing awesome!
Thanks! I really appreciate your support! You're awesome! 🦖
Arnt the tenticle ones too fragile even if they harden? They are quite thin. Before watching this i was thinking of using metal rod and bending it but couldnt think of a way to get the ridges
Green stuff remains a little flexible once it cures, so I've not found it to be too fragile. Still, if you prefer to use metal, then guitar wire is a good choice as it has the ridged texture (depending on the gauge of the string).
Mmm, dat axx...
🤣🤣 I was looking at my pile of shame and found quite a couple of Artisan Guild prints. I need to paint them too! 🦖
yes... testing color schemes.. yeeesss
What other use could there possibly be....
Pushing up the blue stuff around the edge of the miniature... oh c'mon why didn't I think of that. I've been failing for weeks due to lots of flash and imprecise edges. Thanks, just that visual tip alone was enough to make a difference!
Really glad this video helped you! Thanks for stopping by 🦖
Great content, dude!
Thanks a bunch! I appreciate your positivity!
Subbd
That's awesome! Glad you liked the video 🦖
just ordered some blue stuff. I'ma start mass producing plasma guns, skull decorations, chains, chain axes and maybe even berzerker heads. I have alot green stuff that I haven't yet used and if everything works as I've planned, I might have to order more. and later a 3d printer, take that GW.
Those shadows are amazing. Makes me have some ideas for my sentinel.
Wow, love the content. Hope to see more!
Awesome build! Love the psuedoblinky!
Can you tell me why you do eyes this way?
Sure thing. But when you say "this way," what do you mean?
Looks good
Looks like episode 2 never launched
Yeah... I have a problem with starting projects and never finishing them. But not anymore!
Muito Bom !!!! =)

criminally underrated
Thanks for your positivity! I am a smooth criminal 🦖
Good stuff man! Can't wait to see all of the stonework painted up 👀👌
There is a... floor... in your plans... Ill get my coat... Great work mate. Coming on nice.
What a well-crafted high quality video, well done! My partner is a friend of Dee's and she recommended I take a look at your channel. BTW what microphone are you using? It sounds great!
This is so good
I’m always here for texture, basically in everything from fashion and fabrics to food, so it was great to see what you were able to achieve here using it! Those tiles are so neat and fun - you’re right about their connection to Art Deco too, hadn’t remembered that! Looking forward to seeing the walls go up, Dude, so thank you for sharing! 🧚♀️❤️🐝
Wow I hadn't thought about all the places you can find texture. You've opened my eyes! Thanks for all the support. I really appreciate it! 🦖
Duuuude , you're back
For now anyway! Hopefully I'll be able to stick to it, at least for my own sense of achievement.
Very interesting. Have you turned coronaman into the cool aid guys?
Oh damn I think I might have!
I wanted to leave a comment but I didn't have my company regulation dinosaur hat 😔 But for real, I know the feeling about the pile of shame. Mine sits at the top of my office closet, slowly expanding. It's gotten to the point where I try not to make eye contact with it 😂 Eager to see what comes next man 😎👍
I'm wondering whether putting boxes from the pile of shame out on bookshelf will encourage me to get into it. Or at least make it seem like yeah these are collectibles, not things that need to be painted, everything is fine, nothing to see here... Thanks for the support! 😎🦖
Very funny 😀. Great editing too. Best of luck with your projects!
Thanks Manus! I appreciate it. All the best to you too! 🦖
