That flies VERY realistically for a quite small / simple model. I think if it were mine I would be adding a tiny hook under the belly for an initial bungee-assisted launch, would only need about 10 feet of elastic to do a great job

Congrats! Looks and flies great. On takeoff excellent how you held it on the ground as you built up more than enough speed to fly. Then that bit of left wing dip as you took off. Scared me a bit.

Now that's an SE5a! The Duncan Hutson Kit for this came out in the early 90's and a plan is now available on Outerzone if anyone fancies scratch building one! Nicely flown Al.

@@bobbarlow1 I thought it sounded like a Laser - brilliant engines. In the 90's I was in the Epsom club and we had DH along as guest speaker and he brought his own SE5a along. Very interesting talk.

Thanks Ramon,gorgeous isn't it,i got this from Rob I use one 6 cell 6200 mah battery. Duration is limited with those two 70fans I keep not much more than 3 mins you might get 4 😎

Ah, this is a plane I miss! Brian knows how to to use the throttle, I never did with mine- it was an on/ off switch, and most always on -:) Fun plane.

Hi just got this from Al It weighs 5kg (11 pounds). Propeller 16 x 10 APC. Battery 6S 5000. ESC Turnigy Plush 100 Amp. Motor Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 5045 500 kV. Max power 1350 Watts, Max current 60 Amps. Hope this helps Cheers bob😎
@@bobbarlow1 Thank you, Bob. Your model's data is very similar to my MKIA 69" BT. 10.1 lbs, Motor is a Turnigy 5065-270, Batt 6 cell 5000 mah, normal 14 amps for an 8 minute flight. I usually land with lots of batt left. Prop 17/12. Smooth flier, makes me look like a great pilot. Fun. Thanks for the data.
Al's spitfire originally had a 60 two stroke in but that started to play up so he electrified it and hasn't looked back,it's the way to go 😎

The Hurricane: albeit slower, but could outturn early spitfires, and was quicker to build. Working class hero. But nice Spitfire mate.

I love the gull wing on the stinson I have the foamy bob the parkzone one it’s had a power switch added as it’s a bottom loader and person I got off had done full navigation lights on it too I need to do so many maidens
It's a good looking model Gary,it's been a lousy year for flying so far,especially if you're working as the weather gets worse at the weekend,we gave a few clubs members wanting to maiden models 😎
