    😅 The last video did seem that you hated everything about Italy all their customs that everybody in the world knows them shutting down for a siesta in the middle of the day because it's so hot eating really late because people take napster in the day and they just seems like you are anti Italy

    Late dinner was born from the noble habits of dining late because of the night parties... You wake up late... You have a late lunch and a late dinner... In some European countries even the terms breakfast, lunch and dinner began to take on similar meanings for this very reason and were used interchangeably to indicate lunch or dinner.

I hope you watched our next video explaining we aren’t leaving Sicily because of these culture shocks. We are waiting for my husband’s citizenship court date. Those shocks were for Americans who have never been and are thinking about making the move.

    Are you serious? For one thing everything closes for lunch in all of Italy. It's not a Sicily thing. Secondly, the culture is very family and food oriented and the ppl need time out of their working day to maintain those strong bonds otherwise what are we? Wage slaves? Workers in Italy will never concede to being forced to eat junk food at our desks, shoveled down in 30 minutes. What is wrong with you two? Btw I did not bother watching your video after your first 'culture shock'. Too pathetic.

      @@yvanapantino273 we love Sicily! We were not being dishonest. Our next visit video explained why we titled it that way. We did have to leave Sicily because of the 90 /180 Schengen. Waiting on my husband court date for his citizenship. Sorry if you took the bait. We love the culture and the people. We have many friends in our home town. Just trying to get our UA-cam channel to grow. 👍

    Sicily is too much Italy for newcomers. Maybe start in Perugia, Firenze, Santa Maria degli Angeli etc; once you get comfortable with everything then try Sicily

    I just watched the other one before watching this one and I was indignant of the comments I read. I didn't think you were complaining and felt that you were sharing your experiences. Enjoy your travels. Have you thought of Spain? Try after August so that you don't experience the heat and the immense amount of tourists. I would head to Andalucía but any part of Spain is beautiful.

I am sure that you were born traveling and didn't have a learning curve with any culture including your own. Not everybody has that advantage. BTW, I was born and raised overseas in many countries and all new places are a new experience. Be kind to one another.

    Maybe take a few trips nearby. I loved Skopje and Prizren. Also loved Moster and Sarajevo in Bosnia. Turkey is my favorite country!

    Hi.... Im a Cardiologist looking to retire to sicily here in NYC. Im divorced after a long marriage.... how is that part of sicily for night life...? Im still young looking and handsome so I like to be around places to meet ladies and socialize.....Finding real estate isn't a issue for me.... My family came from Italy to the states........ty

    Every time I see an American talking about culture shock, I see somebody that never traveled. Even inside America you can feel culture shocks. This is what happens when you live in a bubble all your life.

These weren’t culture shocks for us. We have traveled extensively. The video was for our American viewers. Watch our follow up video for more clarity. We love Sicily and will be back after our required Schengen period🤪😂😂😂 so many people don’t get UA-camrs make these kind of videos to up their subscribers and views.

    Before moving to Sicily I spent quite a bit of time in Albania ( a long time ago) and found it wildly beautiful and the people very giving , even when they had so little. Are you spending your 90 days out of Schengen there? If you get a chance to drive Vlora to Sarande on the wild coastal road it takes you into Llogara pass/mountain range. Absolutely breathtaking with some gorgeous beaches
