Such a great kitchen view! I might be willing to forego a countertop in order to not cover up any of that view (just kidding). But seriously, I wouldn't mind doing dishes if I got to overlook that every day. Wow the American hate is real lol! Most of us Americans haven't had the time or money to travel the world and we appreciate UA-camrs who are brave enough to share their experience. America is also a melting pot so in our country we have the unique opportunity to come into contact with a variety of cultures so some never feel the need to move. We have been in a bubble but social media has helped many Americans to think outside of the box and yes many of us will experience culture shock when we leave that bubble suprise suprise. The ignorance and hate in the comments is telling. You really can't speak in general of any nationality of people because we are all individuals... especially Americans because we come from so many different backgrounds. So to say Americans are dumb, Americans are whiny....seems like you have chosen to associate with an annoying group of Americans lol! WOW ~ I applaud you for your tenacious persistence! That's amazing ~ loved hearing your story. I got Italian citizenship back in 2006, and two of my kids did too. This was through Croce, my husband, who was born and raised in Sicily. So our process was fairly straightforward due to that. Question: Did the law change at some point about not allowing dual citizenship? Croce did not have to renounce his Italian citizenship when he naturalized in the U.S. Also, do you have to pass a language test for your citizenship or does Diana? Thank you. 😊 Very interesting hearing your story! Ciao ~ Carol Amato

@@TheSicilianLife thank you for your comment. I think at one time they did not allow dual citizenship. I believe it changed in the 90's, but don't quote me. I don't need a language test but Diana will to get hers. I am waiting on the judge right now to assign a case number and a court date. It has been hard to be patient especially with the house renovation and everything else going on.

This video is for ignorant people !!! Why would you want Sicily to be like Walmart ? 😂

@@ruskiexpatsreviews2683 no one said Sicily should be like walmart. People in the US are used to going shopping all hours of the day or night. Simple stating you won't be able to do that in Sicily.

@theSicilyAdventure Luigi Guagenti or Guagluti I'm not sure which is the real last name because at Ellis Island, it was Guagenti. He came to NYC, later on moving to upstate NY. He had my grandfather and became a citizen when he was 12. He died the next year at age 48. So sad. He was a tailor and had his own shop in Palermo. There are Guagenti in Palermo and surrounding areas so that's probably our real last name, not the other name.
