Smoke Warthog Ribs. The best way to eat your ribs
Ingredients:
1kg Warthog Ribs
2x Medium size Onions
2x Gloves of Garlic (Crushed)
1x Tablespoon of Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Method:
Take your 2 medium size onions and slice them up. Take the 2 gloves of garlic and crush them. Take your braai pan and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Take your basting brush and brush the service of the braai pan with the olive oil. Pack the onions on the braai pan to cover the surface of the ribs. Add the crushed garlic onto the onions. Add salt and pepper to taste onto the onions. Add the ribs onto the onions and add onto the ribs salt and pepper to taste. Get your braai up to 120 degrees Celsius of heat and add the braai pan onto your braai. Before I added the braai pan, I did add hickory smoking chunks to the braai. Turn the ribs around every hour. Leave the ribs to braai on the onions. After the ribs is on the braai for 4 hours stir the onions under the ribs. After you stirred the onions, add the ribs back onto the onions. After the ribs was on the braai for 5 hours remove, cut, and serve with the onions.

Die beste braai op die mark volgens my
What's up with the music
Just to relax
Why not peace of nice fat inbetween
Chicken thighs, not breasts.
Nope I used chicken breasts
@@JoburgBraai you did a great job, looks really tasty. Not sure why you would think that is breast though. I do competition chicken thighs, so I recognize a thigh. Its definitely not breasts, but regardless it still looks good and I will try and do this with my chicken thighs. Thanks for doing the chicken thigh video, keep them coming.
Nice. In the US you can't get Durky sauce unless it's through an importer. Making some myself sounds like something I'll try. Thanks for the video!
My pleasure and I hope you enjoy it
Not enough heat its still not white
Was more than enough heat
@@JoburgBraai if you burn at enough heat you even need to remove the heat gauge , and after some time the ceramic becomes white again yours still black
@@JoburgBraaiit was not hot enough to burn all the grease from the top

For the love of god why did you destroy that meat ?
I haven’t destroy it it what Soft juicy and perfect
Nando's sauce used to make a Spur product. You could buy the Durkey sauce and save you all the trouble.
Thanks but I love to make my own Durky sauce and it’s good to share the recipe as well maybe people wants to make their own sauce as well
doing barbecue for the first time does the same effect.
I agree remember BBQ and Braai is the same style we just call it different names and we use different type of meats
Not recommended...
If you do it properly and make sure the ceramic dry out for 2 days you are safe
Shiny happy people❤😂🎉

Is it something about that type of smoker or did you forget to rest the meat so it retains its juices better? I use an offset smoker and I've found the resting to be crucial. Also wrapping the meat in butcher paper the last couple of hours had great results.
If you look closely I did let the meat rest I use the Lekka Hot Pot that keep your food warm for up to 4 hours. The Lekka hot pot is perfect for resting your food. So I agree you must let the meat rest
Yep, the issue was wrapping it in Butcher paper, it could’ve been juicer. Excellent observation bro!
@@mfundimkhize3137 No, dont need to wrap. I do my brisket naked. Smoke untill tender, then take it off the smoker and wrap in butchers paper at the end to rest with tallow (Beef Fat) poured over it for at least 3 hours.
Dankie for this, I've been looking for a local lekker braai master, not this American bbq kak
My pleasure and thank you hope you are going to enjoy this channel I do everything the braai method
American BBQ kak? Maybe its because you cannot smoke meat like they do. Naargat ne?

That's not schnitzel. You might get away with calling it Rouladin
They called it in South Africa a minute Schnitzel
@@JoburgBraai in Germany schnitzel is shallow fried
