Hey, do I need a reference to get into the hospital or just apply by my own.
You can definitely apply on your own! They usually just require 6months to 1 yr direct patient care experience and/or a cna license
Hi I’m new with this channel i love all your videos! Very inspiring!!lets support all healthcare workers ❤
@@TITOBAP salamat po tito Bap!
Great video.
Thank you, I appreciate it. 😊

Hello Ate Rachelle just saw your vlog, ok lang magtanong if ano company mo dati as pct like sa Satellite or Davita? planning to apply din, but my concern is work schedule too whenever I get started and life of a student tho :)
Davita. Apply ka, good experience! :)
Was a Pct for 14 years its not for the faint of heart but it does have many rewards.
I was a Dialysis Tech also. I'm more so into the hospital setting .
Do you like it
Hello good morning from HMC hinigaran Philippines (metro manila)
Thank you for posting this it was helpful.
This video was most helpful! Thank you for sharing. I’m doing a Dialysis technician course for free thanks to the favor of God 🙌🏼🔥 this helped give me some insight.
hello! i would like to ask you about dialysis technician/patient care technician.. Do you think Deaf people can work as a PCT? there shouldn’t be issue with communication?
Hi Rachelle, are you still working as a PCT? Do you plan on moving on to Nursing? I am trying to decide if I should train to become a PCT and the while working as a PCT continue with school to become an LPN or go to LPN school now and maybe continue to RN in the future.
Hi there! Yes i work as a pct in a hospital now and I am currently in school for my BSN. Definitely train to become a pct so you can get all the hands on experience while in school. It will help with gaining confidence. You even try part time or a PRN position for flexibility
@@rachellenursing Thanks 🙏
hello maam, is it possible to apply for this job in the US even if my bachelors degree is Physical therapy? im a filipino and im new here in the US, im wondering if i can apply to jobs like this while preparing for my PT process
Yes definitely. It will help you be comfortable with the patients here in America. Try mo mag work as a pct para may patient care experience ka dito. Pwede ka din mag try sa hospital as pct
Interview for a Dialysis Tech at Davita, cant wait. Also going back to school to become a PCT❤
Did you get the job
Thanks for sharing!!
Im sorry for you. I hope you work towards a better job and future. Dialysis isn't it.
Welcome back girl!! Excited to see your new journey❤
Awww thanks!! I was randomly thinking about you the other day. What is your instagram again? I made a new one and I cannot remember your @
How come you left dialysis? I’m considering pct for a dialysis center
I just got certified in phlebotomy and i applied last night for pct/dialysis tech job and i got an email today for a phone screen. Im nervoussssssssssss but excited to learn. Im very hands on so i wanna do this.
How was your job
How come you left dialysis? I’m considering pct for a dialysis center.
Which your couse ...?
How many pt do you have
going from CNA to PCT and I thought the duties would intimidate me but this really reassured me. great video thank you!!!
I thought that a CNA was higher rank than a PCT or am I tripping ?
Is there a reason you decided not to stay in dialysis a a nurse.?
It looks like techs do a lot! What do the RNs do then?
Reply please sis..
Hello sister very good afternoon I am from India also I am a dialysis technician where are you from please ?
watched this a couple weeks before beginning my training and didn't understand anything and being hella scared bc it looked and sounded so complex. rewatching this now as a pct and i understand everything and i love working as a dialysis pct so much!
I just got nervous also because I applied for the job and they train you .. hope I get it
@@LadyG556 me too! Hope it went well for you, they offered me free paid training so I hope it’s a good fit ☺️☺️
I will start my training next month and I hope that I catch on quickly as well
What are your hours?
@@magnumopus7199 I’m still in training and I can’t go over 36 hrs a week they say, but when I work it’s 6am- 4pm and one 6am- 1pm day, one day off during the week and no weekends yet.
Whats the top pay ?
I’ve been a pct on and off for years on a med Surg oncology floor but never dialysis tech . Do you have help that early in the morning or are you on your own.? Any tips on getting started ? With have pct experience do you think I can ask for 18.75-$20 an hr at least? I’m at $22.50 right now as pct.
Sometimes the titles concern me. I went to school for my RMA...also have my CNA but get paid as a LPN and compared to LPN they're equivalent to CNAS with med tech certificates, and only RNS are considered "true nurses" well atleast in Florida. I get paid 30$ as a CNA 14 as a RMA [ which i have an associates degree for my RMA] &ND 19$ as a Dialysis tech. Doesn't make sense to me. Buy guess it's just supply and demand for a JOB market. I get paid way more than the average cna because I was hired at a time they really needed people.
I just applied for a pct dialysis position today wish me luck on the job offer ☺️
i just started this class!!
thank you for this video i got a job as one
Hi,can you please tell me the study material for ccht
Dialysis technician need po ba dapat register nurse?
What exactly are you charting?
So it’s not scary? What makes people say it’s scary?
Thanks for everything you do for your patients!! God bless you!
We PCTs should get a big raise, especially technicians that have been working for a long time. Been working with DaVita for 18yrs now and I only get $20.20/hr. I only get 25cents raise a yr, while newly hired technicians are getting $18 starting and get another $1 after they passed their ccht certification plus the annual raise.
Oh no! That’s sad to hear, I have an interview with them on Monday
Thats unchill. For that reason I went back to school for nursing. And I don't do anything extra. No water, no opening and no bleaching. I'm not going. To work harder than new folks and get paid the same amount as them. And I don't train because there's no incentive anymore.
@@Dexters.LaBOREatory i got a $4 at Fmc for my years of experience
@@TheDira93 how did your interview go? I have an interview with davita next week
@@yaniidiazz It wasn’t bad, I ended up getting the job. You will be fine, just be yourself ☺️
Thank you for sharing what you do as a PCT technician. That’s all what I wanted to know and I learned it from your video. 😃
how hard is it? I am a certified phlebotomist Adam being considered for a job as a dialysis pct, I am so nervous
Iam the same as you, I hope it goes well.
Hello Rachel if shifts are between 10-15 hours long how many days do you have off ?
Same question I have ?
Generally it’s a 3 on 4 off schedule for shifts like that for full time but you can always work with your employer if that isn’t a fit.
Thank you ...very helpful.
Can stna work PCT in dialysis
Hlo Mam....I am worked in India..I finished Diploma in Dialysis technology... how to work in abord...then how to become a PCT
