Hi my name is Connor and with this channel I aim to provide brutally honest reports on as many different airlines as possible!
I will fly pretty much every flight in Economy, unless I find a cheap upgrade on any future flights.

PLAY Airlines | A320N / A321N | Stansted to Baltimore via Reykjavik | Tripreport | An Honest Review
Hello and thank you for viewing my video. I was intrigued by PLAY ever since I first saw the announcement that they would carry on where WOW Air left off. And as many of you may know, it didn't end well for WOW.
After researching some itineraries I could schedule in around work, I found a good deal with PLAY from STN to coincide with my time I had booked off. For just £64 (YES.. SIXTY FOUR pounds) I couldn't say no, so I booked it without checking hotels or transport options the other end.
A more in depth review of my ratings is below...
Here are my ratings for both flights combined
Price: £64 for the flight (£250.78 after tax and seats) (9/10)
So I may have rated this 9/10, as for 2 flights onboard almost new aircraft across the Atlantic is a bargain, especially one way. As for all flights departing the UK, we are hit with a huge tax bill. The flight fare was actually £64, but UK APD (Air Passenger Duty) was £84, then other taxes such as departing and landing pax tax were added. The once I added my seat it came to a total of £250, which still isn't bad for a transatlantic hop from the UK to USA.
Cleanliness: 10/10
As expected these days, the aircraft were spotless. There isn't much more to say on this one!
Food (Price & Quality): 10/10
I thought the food price and quality was good for a low cost airline. It is always going to be expensive but for what I got i think it was worth the money.
Comfort: 8/10
As stated in the video, the A320N wasn't comfy, I had no room at all, so it was a typical low cost experience. The A321N however was very spacious. When I flew the aircraft they were leasing was fitted with 194 seats out of a possible 220 (I think). But I did notice reports that they will be increasing seat capacity so legroom will be worse in the future.
Crew: 10/10
Both crews were great. With good knowledge of English & of course Icelandic. They were fast with service and didn't seem to stop moving on both flights.
Punctuality: 9/10
I scored this lower as despite both flights arriving earlier than scheduled, both check-in procedures had problems. At STN the ticket machine wouldn't read most mobile barcodes, meaning they had to check manually, causing a late departure. And in KEF they checked passports and tickets 3 times (all different staff members) causing delays. Plus the gate area wasn't clearly marked out so lots of people were quieting in the wrong area. But we still arrived early both times so I can't rate it too badly.

Just some polite viewer feedback for future videos - can we see more of the overall experience, not just a long shot of outside the window. Check-in, boarding, seat/pitch, inflight sales and service etc.
Thanks for the feedback, I certainly want to try and capture more shots that include this, I'll be honest, I get a bit self conscious when filming and think people will judge me, so I put myself off sometimes from filming certain things. I should hopefully be taking some flights in a couple of weeks so I will try to use those flights as a learning curve for myself to overcome the anxiety of filming and I will capture as much as I can. How did you survive with that 3 inch recline my friend. Cant you believe that same plane will be heading to Singapore. Feel sorry for economy class passengers
I was surprisingly comfy despite my size! If you happen to have the seat beside you empty then there isn't a problem, but if it's a full flight and you have a seat mate then it will feel cramped, especially on very long flights!

Do they dim the lights of the windows, also during daytime flights? I'll be flying this route soon, for the first time ever and I want to take pictures during the flight☺️
Thanks for viewing and commenting on my video! Yes they do dim the windows, but you can un-dim them using the button under the window, a few clicks and you can fully un-dim. Then when you want to dim it again you can choose what level of darkness you'd like. Hope this helps & enjoy your flight/trip!

I flew from Heathrow to Dublin on an A330 on 10th January 2022, flight EI179 departing at 20.45. When I was booking with Aer Lingus in October I was surprised to see an A330 when I was on seat selection, and I chose seat 45K. And wow there was only about 25 passengers on the flight and it arrived in Dublin 40 minutes early.
When I booked my trip I actually forgot they operated the A330 on this route, it all conviently worked out so I could fly with them. It must have been a strange experience for you to only have 25 people onboard! I hope you enjoyed your flight/trip 😊

How was Loganair? Did you enjoy it?
The staff were very friendly, the seat was very comfortable, i was sat in the emergency exit seat which costs the same price to reserve as the rest of the cabin! Overall it was a good experience and I will definitely fly with them again if I get the opportunity!

Ryanair is famous for its rough landing. This landing was quite better than others
I personally haven't had a rough landing with Ryanair (not from memory, anyway). Sometimes you can tell they just want to get it down and get parked up but its never been too bad for me. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you!! Agreed, you get what you pay for so when people pay less than £30 for a flight and complain about anything (unless it's extremely bad!) then I don't understand their logic. Personally I like Ryanair since you can get to most of europe for less than £50, bargain!
