Your info is interesting...my mom has dementia. It is difficult and I don't live with her, so getting her to adhere to keto diet is impossible. Looking for a place to put her in that would feed her keto diet. I have give her MCT oil and exogenous ketones, but she doesn't use them regularly as she forgets. To get your word out, have you thought about getting onto other popular you tube videos?...ones that are pushing keto/carnivore and to reducing carbs...Like Kerry from "Healing Humanity", "No Carb Life" (Dave Mac), even podcasts like "Low Carb MDs"...and Anthony Chaffee "Plant Free MD"...you are all saying the same message!! We need to get people, especially the elderly, off processed foods...low carb.
Sorry to hear about your mom. She is very fortunate to have you looking for answers on her behalf! Compliance is a challenge for sure, definitely reach out to Marama and see if there are any other centers that offer ketogenic diets near you. Those are great YT channels, I would love to be invited to any/all of those! Thank you.
Is there a program in Canada i can put my mother in? It seems that family doctor, geriatric psychiatrist, gerontologist, are useless and prescribe medications that seem to be doing more harm or she is just progressing quickly
I don't know of a program of Canada yet but I would reach out to Marama. They are partnering with other established centers to make their methodology more widely accessible. They may be in the works with a center near you: www.maramaexperience.com/
You lost me when you said, go back to a plant-based diet. What? Sure, you spent a year healing yourself and when you manage to do that, you go back to what got you sick in the first place. Makes no sense. Being in a ketogenic state is for LIFE if you want to be in your optimal health for longest. Plants don't want to be eaten - they have a ton of toxins in them to protect themselves. Do you really want to eat those toxins, day in day out? Why do you think they have antioxidants? To save them from themselves. It took me six decades to learn of these toxins I was putting in my body thinking I'm doing my body a favour? Dieticians and nutritionists are not telling us the truth. The reason is because of the bottom line, as it always is.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that the ratio of women with Alzheimer's as opposed to men with Alzheimer's is just about the same as the ratio of women who are vegans/vegetarians as opposed to men who are vegans/vegetarians. It's the women's hi carb/lo fat diets that are a major cause. Of course, I could be wrong.
Currently, about 67% of all Alzheimer's patients are women. Suboptimal hormonal balance, typically seen around the time of menopause, seems to be a major contributing factor. I believe you are touching on something important, as women tend to need healthy fats/cholesterol a little bit more than men for appropriate hormone production. Thanks!
The message is good and needs to be learned by most. To get more views, there are a handful of things to improve presentation / production. Others have YT videos about that.
Thank you, appreciate it! Any you suggest? Thanks.
The best brief explanation ever!
Thank you, appreciate it!

Benfotiamine changed the game for me. After being prediabetic without knowing for years, I started supplementing for neuropathy but was surprised how it has also helped me with mental clarity and feeling calmer
That is amazing, thank you for sharing!

Happy it was helpful! 🙏
Alzheimer's/dementia is type 3 diabetes, autism is childhood Alzheimer's/dementia
Good points!
It's a fact! Dr. Stephanie Seneff has discovered the absolute truth that glyphosate is causing misfolding, and it's also causing a significant toxic effect on neurotransmission, oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction and a whole lot more! I'm not afraid to admit that it's coming from the air, sprayed produce, fuel emissions, non-organic supplements, etc. The toxic effects can be felt immediately upon exposure, and I can pretty much sense it in foods. Even without an independent lab test, I KNOW these are 💯 facts! THANK YOU, DR. STEPHANIE SENEFF, for saving my life! ❤
Thank you, Dr. Stephanie Seneff! These facts will be known 💯
Yes!!
i got tested and have the 3/4 gene for alzheimer's. it says that version has a 30% chance. i am watching my diet, vitamins and practice rotating at least 3 languages daily. i know 7. anything to keep me thinking and on my toes. any advice is appreciated. i want to see my 100th birthday
Impressive, great approach! To give you the best probability of full prevention on your path to 100, I'd highly recommend practicing Dr. Dale Bredesen's PreCODE (Prevention of Cognitive Decline) Protocol and reading his first book The End of Alzheimer's. Fasting and just eating low carb helps. I hope that you stay healthy
@@lilascharmante2712 Great points, fasting is a powerful healing practice!
hey what could be the reason to being extremely b1 deficiency (and have all the symptoms of lackness)? im 18yo, never used alcohol, do not take any meds, low carb and sugar diet, regular water intake and workouts… i had reflux when i was younger. could it created a malabsorption of thiamine in my intestine? i have low acetylcholine, so an intense brain fog and confusion (knowing thiamine makes a important part of its function)
Good question. You can get your levels tested to see where you're at, this may help narrow down how deficiency came about. Reflux could have definitely been a factor. You could start supplementing with Thiamine HCL and see how you feel. Some other causes of Thiamine deficiency are below, hope this is helpful! www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK537204/
My myself, my mom and my Nan all can't absorbed vitamin B's. My mom had early onset dementia because of it and my Nans had regular shots for years so shes 85 and fine. My doctor says it can be genetic the reasons why you have poor absorption
@@liddlemountain7245 Sorry to hear about your mom. For those who are genetically poor absorbers of the many synthetic B Vitamin supplements on the market, the best absorbed are the methylated versions Methyl-B12, B6, B9 (Folate). For B1 (Thiamine), Benfotiamine is typically well absorbed. Lozenges that dissolve in the mouth can be better absorbed, as they bypass the gut. There are also transdermal creams and then the gold standard are injections. Hope this is helpful!
Your video is invaluable!❤❤
Thank you, appreciate it!
Interesting. My late husband was given as a last resort a chemo that caused sudden brain toxicity & heart issues. He suddenly couldn't eat with a fork, drink from a straw etc. He only spoke the same few words over & over. He did have some cognitive decline before. Chemo was stopped & he was taken to critical care & received IV thiamine for a few days. He dramatically improved (like a miracle) & when I took him home to live his remaining 6 months, his mind was better than before. As days went by he returned to about the same degree of cognitive decline as before the episode. Maybe if he had been prescribed thiamine he would gave had lasting cognitive improvement. Hmmm
I am sorry to hear about your husband's passing. I'm with you, we could all benefit from standard of care testing Thiamine regularly in all of us. Critical nutrient that is too often overlooked, thank you for your comment. 🙏
Taurine is a free amino acid that decreases in abundance during a Toxoplasma gondii infection: Taurine depletion A mass spectrometry-based analysis of metabolism during a T. gondii infection found that taurine is consistently depleted during infection. This depletion is likely due to secretion rather than degradation. Metabolic changes Other metabolic changes that occur during a T. gondii infection include: An increase in amino acids and their biosynthetic intermediates A dramatic increase in metabolites involved in nucleotide synthesis An increase in glycolytic intermediates, except at 48 hours post infection An increase in intermediates in the oxidative and non-oxidative PPP Taurine is a sulfur-containing amino acid that regulates metabolism in a variety of ways, including lipid metabolism, energy expenditure, inflammation, and suppression of oxidative stress.
Fascinating, thank you!
Toxoplasmosis WH6 strain (WuHan) causes tau phosphorylation Alzheimer's
The high carb diets reduce thiamine metabolism because sugar/carbs feeds specific bacteria that flourish and snuff out the good bacteria that consumes the B1 in gut that makes serotonin and Melatonin. Also avoid consuming citrus fruits and vitamin C when consuming B1.
Thank you!
Why avoid vitamin C?
@@richieheetebrij8189 Vitamin C destroys B1 if taken together. Ideally consume B1 with water only in morning....then wait 1-2 hrs before eating Vitamin C :)
Yeah.. and why avoid citrus fruits? Because the vitamin c? Maybe vitamin c competes with thiamine and carbs…
@@341788 Not sure, I'll let him respond! Typically, any foods containing Thiaminases would be avoided if deficiency is already present: www.sciencedirect.com/topics/biochemistry-genetics-and-molecular-biology/thiaminase

@BrainHeal_th_ In vascular dementia, if the blockages of the carotid artery and small vessels in the brain are regressed with ornish esselstyn approaches and then the patient is recode, wouldn't there be more progress than in a patient with alzheimer's? As far as I know, there are more problems in alzheimer's.
The Ornish/Esselstyn approaches for increasing circulatory health and function are excellent. Alongside proper blood flow to the brain, Dr. Bredesen wants us to test for other risk factors that contribute to cognitive decline with what he calls a Cognoscopy. Some other risk factors include, hidden infections not previously identified, chemical/heavy metal toxicity, mold toxins, hormonal status, micro-nutrient deficiencies, sleep apnea, metabolic dysfunction, among others. This is a good overview video on this: ua-cam.com/video/2FzVEaJ-ZjM/v-deo.html Hope this is helpful!
@@BrainHeal_th_ I'm sorry, my English is not good. I can't express myself. Wouldn't the ReCODE protocol be more successful in vascular dementia than in Alzheimer's disease? Because Alzheimer's is more complicated. In vascular dementia, if new vascular blockages can be prevented, existing blockages can regress, vessels can be dilated, collateral circulation can be increased, and the damage to the brain can be reversed with ReCODE, it may be possible to reverse the disease.
@@KeepOut-x6h No worries! It would definitely seem that way. From our experience, we needed to use the Esselstyn/Ornish approach to reverse some carotid vascular constriction for my dad, while implementing the other components of ReCODE. Great question.
@@BrainHeal_th_ I spoke to a dietitian who uses Recode. She told me that Recode was developed for Alzheimer's and that it was not as effective for vascular dementia as it was for Alzheimer's. How successful is Recode in patients with dementia due to blockage of blood vessels in the brain? Do you know a patient like this?
@@KeepOut-x6h She is correct. I don't know one personally but I have heard that other dementia patients are having varied success. For Vascular Dementia, the Esselstyn/Ornish dietary program would make more sense, as this approach has demonstrated in the data to reverse atherosclerosis. Hope this is helpful!

Hi, ty for great videos!! Could you tell me what type ketones? When to take and how much? Thank you so much!!
You're very welcome - for exogenous ketones, you can buy ketone esters and ketone salts. Any amount will translate to blood ketone levels. Coconut oil and MCT oil will convert rapidly to ketones. Dr. Newport recommends starting 1 tsp to start. For highest ketone levels in the blood, you can implement a ketogenic/low carb diet and (or in combination with) intermittent fasting. Hope this helps!

What is medical food??
Medical foods are foods that are specially formulated and intended for the dietary management of a disease that has distinctive nutritional needs. This one in particular was powdered MCT (medium chain triglyceride)!
To save people time- it's coconut oil. Specifically mct oils that are found in breast milk and animal milk. Based on my googling there's lack of evidence supporting coconut oil improving cognitive functions of people with dementia, but science and medicine is always evolving so new research might disprove the doubts.
I have a query about the Vitamin E that you have referred to?
Sure thing, Alpha Tocopherols and Tocotrienols?
I don’t understand how is it that you don’t as yet have a couple thousand subscribers.
Thank you, will press forward to raise awareness with as many people as possible! Hopefully, with more practitioners training in the protocol, these testing and intervention strategies can become more accessible to the wider public.

When you are insulin resistant, my understanding is that the pancreas will produce even more insulin to try to reduce the glucose in the blood. With so much glucose and insulin in the blood stream, where do insulin eventually end up?
Correct! At first, the pancreas will produce even more insulin to get glucose into cells and out of the blood. It will do that until the insulin resistance is reversed and it can got back to secreting an appropriate amount of insulin or until the pancreas is exhausted. Great question: elevated insulin levels must be degraded by the body over time, which is metabolically expensive and inflammatory. Insulin sensitivity is so important!
