We build stuff for fun and break limits of what's possible in the process ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Smoothbrains build a Satellite
We built a satellite. Why? How? - I have no clue. We are still perplexed by the fact that it actually worked. just like... - to turn it on you have to flip three switches at specific intervals for it to boot up, because we used an interface that does NOT support data transfer, but we somehow did it anyway... It also blew up two times, which was fun.

We thank Kaunas Makerspace and KTU Engineering Lyceum for giving us the tools and space to make this project happen
This project is not even 1% of what we have planned for the future, so you better subscribe ;)

I feel like I have so much determination and potential that is unused. Coming from South Africa and attending a not-so-good high school, I feel like I’m not learning anything new every day. I wish I had the opportunity to learn and build tech in an environment that supports it, but I guess I should be grateful for what I have at the end of the day. I’ll still try to explore this potential, but I don’t think I can do it freely without working hard to live, especially coming from a single-parent household. But who knows?
get these boys a NASA SL 2026 invite
These dudes are making KERBAL a reality 😂😂
you might be slightly underrated
I lost sharp tones of left ear by similar occasion. Careful
Fun asbestos🎉
I love it
Can someone tell me what the study? Is it engineering or maybe electrical engineering? Thanks
During the project none of us were studying, now I (Crayon sniffer) am studying computer science engineering @ KTU, while other team members are studying Mechatronics, physics, and other engineering related fields. Most of us are studying at KTU
Tikrai… kad kartais gyvenime reikia imtis kritiniu priemonių… ai, kokia kalba kodas parašytas jei ne paslaptis?
Bro..plz make more videos for god sake🙏🙏
We are, but epic things take time 😉
Love it
Imagine low budget engineers manage to outperform nasa would love to see it
Bro I wish my friends were as smart as you with technology!
May I ask, what were the requirements of the challenge? Awesome video.
Blet kito video laukiu :))))
I work at Rocket Lab and your video made me laugh a lot, and also sigh. My last code merge I fixed something and can't explain why it started working. I looked up KTU and wikipedia says it is the 2nd best Uni in Lithuania lol. Better than any of my uni's, no doubt. Congratulations on all your hard work together with your team -- I mean your satellite! Thanks for the video
This is cool
this is fire

Extremely kino video. All one needs in life are antisocial friends with which to participate in an engineering sport.
While britain teaches its children that there are over 9000 different genders and you can wake up and decide to be any of them, Lithuania is teaching its children to build fucking rockets. That's wild.
This is fucking hilarious good luck to you guys, I hope this channel takes off.
Which language did you guys used in programming
We used Arduino & Python for electronics, and Node.js, React (JavaScript), MongoDB for the website.
The subtle demon core meme is art
As a hungarian and cansat team member this is gold
Kartais gyvenime reikia imtis kritinių priemonių. great line.
Malačiai!
loved the doom cum tshirt
ayy this was fun to watch + brought back some memories... I competed in Canada and we had a very similar experience
Y’all deserved the win tho ur team was goated 👍👍
@@sevakstepanyan YOUR TEAM WAS GOATED TOO -hinson from canada
like do you even node?
ill never go outside knowing that smoothbrains like you can build shit like this💀💀
Bruh 💀
čia yra wow. kas jūs esate ir kur jūs mokotės? labai įdomu sužinot plačiau apie jus
4:05 Why are you using css?
Too lazy to install tailwind

absolute moggery holy shit why do you guys have no other vids this is funny as fuck
i have no idea how this ended in my feed - but this was super fun and interesting to watch! Gimme more!
That's pretty cool! I write software for collecting weather data on the ground. Pretty neat project in my opinion, do you have any of the source code available on GitHub or anything?
Hey, here's the source code and schematics: github.com/ignuxas/Thunderclap-Cansat. It's not the cleanest and it's definetly not a good example of how it should be coded, as we had to do many hacky things to make it work, and the code was very rushed, but anyway, thanks so much for the support !
how old they are?
What a fun experience! If any custom PCBs/3DP/CNC'd parts can assisit for upgrade version or part 2? We're open to sponsor and excited to be one part of this satellite! (PCBWay zoey)
Hey, thanks so much for the offer! We're currently trying to make our own rocket that will go waaay higher than the current one, we are testing and improving on rocket fuel formulas, and we're currently in the progress of making a fuel-mixing machine that would give us the purest possible fuel. The satellite is also going to be improved at least 10 times, we're planning to make this one of the craziest projects Lithuania, or even Europe has ever seen (while being on a budget :D), we would be really grateful if we got to work with you guys ! If you want to talk in private here's our email: thunderclaplabs@gmail.com. And again, thank you so much for the support !
@@ThunderclapLabs Email sent! Let's explore more possibilities!
exactly one minute in, not only does the title sound interesting, the intros were *chefs kiss* (bonus points for the SSBB theme) then i noticed his shirt idk who this dude is but i absolutely love it already
Thank you so much for the support !
1:53 took me a while to realise you were speaking Lithuanian 🤣 MLDC projektas👍
not another video of cool stuff but thrown into a 'random shit and memes' Gen Z format. cmon guys, at least show some of the in depth of programming this
am electrical engineering student looking to learn more...contact me
Here's the source code and schematics of the satellite if you're interested: github.com/ignuxas/Thunderclap-Cansat, The code isn't the best example, as it was rushed, but we'll improve it a lot on version 2.0. Good luck studying, have fun!
waiting for more videos
What programming languages/libraries were used for this and is there any source code?
Here's the source code: github.com/ignuxas/Thunderclap-Cansat, The code isn't the best example, as it was rushed, but we'll improve it a lot on version 2.0
Totally epic. Legends
jesus man that news casters face is facing to the side what the hell
we never got to do cool sh*t like this in school wtf
