lmao i actually did it the hard way. 100 x 2 = 200 50 + (75 / 25) = 53 200 + 53 = 253
"253 is 1 + 2 + 25×10... wait a minute 10 is just 1+2+3+4..."
When he said add them all up i thought he was being sarky.
This is the only one I’ve ever gotten haha only took 5 seconds
100x2=200+75= 275-25=250
This was too easy
Damn I also did it the hard way 😅
LOL just add them up to get the result!!
That’s too easy! 100+25+75+50+1+2
When the RNG is the sum of all six
So I added up the 100, 25, 75, 50 and the 2 then I panicked for 25 seconds then added the 1
I added them all up with seconds to spare. Never felt so clever.
So easy a caveman can do it.
I did hard way too
I've met people like Linda.
I got 252.5
That's Numberwang!
I wonder what the odds are for something like this to happen again.
Well, there's 900 different numbers, so that would be one in 900. But not every set of numbers will give you a sum higher than 99, so the odds are even lower.
Good morning, that's a nice tnettenba
Guys I've got a conundrum for you HTEESRTUD SHUTTERD
100+25+75 = 200 200+50+2+1 = 253
Bruh I did it a different way than both of them, 75/25=3 3x100=300 300-50=250 250+1+2=253
100+25+75+50+2+1=253
I just added them all up as well.
So, this is the original Countdown? What a crashing bore!
I admittedly did it the "hard way," the way Linda did it. I NEVER would have thought to just add the numbers up like Steve did, as that had never happened before. Still, great job to both!
75x(100x25)+2+1-50
There is also a less easy way to do it 2*100=200 200+50=250 75/25=3 250+3=253
Thanks for everything Steve! Here’s a little something for you: ua-cam.com/video/4MspluzIpjU/v-deo.html
So quick add up and we're there... Only opened link to comment.
You can do what Linda did and then divide the whole thing by 1 to use all the numbers.
Or multiply by 1
@@mariostar13 or add 1
I'm either so smart, or too dumb. But I added them all up for it.
This is a bit of a “tenettenba” moment
Carol was so pretty. It's just an absolute shame what she did with her body
I did it the hard way! I can't believe you can just add them all up. Mind blown. And when Carol said that'd never happened before. I wonder if it's happened since. What are the odds?!
Less than 1 in 900. The target is any number from 100 to 999, but there's a chance that the numbers might add up to less than 100 making it impossible.
I would've got it straight away. I just know
I did it the hard way. Seems like we all did, so was it really "hard"?
I literally done 75 divided by 25 is 3. 100x2 is 200, add the 50 and the 3. And then he just went and added everyone together.
The odds on that happening must be astronomical
Not really. Assuming the numbers selected add up to more than 100 anyway, which they won’t do if you pick 6 small or even most 1 large selections. There are 900 possible target numbers that can appear (100 thru 999, and yes 100 has been a target number before so it is the lowest target number) so the chances of that exact target number being the sum of all the selected numbers (assuming it’s even possible) is 1 in 900. Obviously pretty small odds compared to some things but not what I’d call astronomical.
At these odds of 1/900 It's likely to crop up at least once if they play the numbers game 624 times or more with numbers totalling over 100 (even with the common selection of one large and five small you probably meet it half the time). Given that they play more than one numbers round per episode, and there are already more than 7000 episodes of Countdown, it's very likely has happened on other occasions (assuming the number generator and selection is genuinely random). This time they noticed but maybe if a more conventional solution was available it may well have passed unobserved (perhaps the presence of four large numbers makes it more likely for someone to pick it up).
I feel dumb doing it the "hard way" and not realizing the easy way first. Anyone else?
Man alive! Rachel got old.
You can also do 100 x 25 is 250 ad 2 add 1 makes 3 add it on to 250
It was nice to see Edna Krabapple open the show.
Countdown's numbers lady's named Vorderman? I've been calling her Carol Kester!
0:02 hah
That took me far to damn long!
That has to be the best and worst numbers game ever
100/25=4 *75=300 -50=250 +1+2=253
100+25+75=200 200+50=250 250+1+2=253 Nice and easy and used all numbers!
I added all. No idea why but I am smiling like crazy
Carol used to get on my nerves
