I’m white, but I still felt her pain just from her voice. I could see in this movie how hard Black people and especially Black women had to fight just to get the same opportunities white people had, and it’s heartbreaking.

Weird they add fiction into "historical" movies, demoted her and added this, which i think was inspired by an incident nearly 10 years prior

She should have won an ascar for this scene alone,,, this is most extremely well delivered dialogue went through your heart you can feel the realness, ❤❤❤❤

This scene simultaneously makes me want to cheer in support of her, scream in frustration for what she and her community experienced, and applaud the actress all at once. The build-up in her voice - in intensity, and volume - from the moment when she starts explaining about the bathroom, up to the moment she bellows about the coffee - incredible. It's like she's held it all in for her whole time at NASA (or more likely her entire life) and she gives herself 30 seconds to finally let it all out. And then the shaking in her voice even once she dials it back down, like you can tell she's still barely holding it together. I have no idea how she didn't get nominated for this role.

My school had a field trip to watch this movie and it was beautiful. This movie is a 10/10
