Thanks Flan…. “Radio in dad’s old car” all those afternoons/evenings listening on KFMB/KOGO with my dad in his old 71 Chrysler Newport. Now my dad is with the Colonel. RIP Gentlemen. To me you both hung the stars. #OhDoctor #HangAStar

This is very nice, but the best baseball song I will ever hear is, ' There Used To Be A Ballpark ', written by Joe Raposo and sung by Sinatra on his 1973 album, Ol' Blue Eyes Is Back.

My childhood. Went to my 1st Padres game in 67. Uncle Tom myself & Rodger. Stands at the “MURPH” we’re almost empty. You could bring your own beer. Can’t remember, but saw Gaylord Perry pitch two complete games.

First Junior then Jerry and now Tony. I think SD knows how to hurt and mourn. Now let's learn to win!!!!

One of the greatest men I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. We met in 1967 when I was a young Marine of 18 years old and he was broadcasting for the Yankees. He sort of took me under his wing. Stayed in c8ntact through the years. Kast saw him when he wax the Grand Marshall for the 2010 New York Veterans Day Parade. I proudly marched alongside his float. I will miss him and his guidance. REST IN PEACE, JERRY.

Hey, Flan. Don't know if you remember those Quakes days back in 1994. Great songs. I've been buying your CDs, and hey, congrats for three rings.

What a beautiful song and tribute to the Colonel. WW2 and Korea Marine kicked butt for our country and represented the Yankees and Padres with class. I had the chance to meet him once at Padres Spring Training in Yuma in 1989-1990. I hoped for the chance to meet him and talk service with him. I never got the chance. I love and miss you Jerry. "Voice of the Padres" and voice of my dad and I "in dad's old car. Great Job Flan!! OH DOCTOR!!! YOU CAN HANG A STAR ON THAT BABY!!!!

I am not going to lie. I had to pull for the Giants. I still love Bochy and Flan. To all the Bochy haters who wanted him fired in SD. How does it feel? 2 rings later, does he still suck as a manager? Sorry. Had to fire one at the haters out there...Great tribute again. Go Padres.

1996 and 1998 were great times to be a Padres fan! Tim Flannery, besides being the third base coach, had a passion to write and sing songs. This one brings back good memories of the Padres in these years. (RIP Ken Caminiti)

Great job Flan!! Lots of love to the Colonel. Just sucks Jerry doesn't do many games on the radio. Especially road games, since I live close to Cincy now. I would love to meet him one more time. What a good man. Oh Doctor!! You can hang a star on Jerry!!!!

I really liked this song. I agree that the game's gotten riddiculous. I wish the greats of the past could come back and slap a few of the guys around. Thanks, it's a great sentiment. I'm a Phillies and an Orioles fan so the fact that you matched Cal Ripken Jr to integrity is a really special thing as well as your plea to forgive Pete. Again, thanks.

4:07pm on a beautiful sunny sunday afternoon.. the Padres need one out for the flag, and here comes Jody Davis. Nettles at third, tempy at short, wiggins at second Garvey behind the runner at first. A one hopper to Nettles - to Wiggins and the Padres have the National League pennant. Oh doctor, you can hang a star on that baby. Flan, your bad hop through Leon Durham's legs was awesome. Dick Williams and the Goose got inducted into the Hall today. '84 must've been a wonderful ride. Good job
