Great video! This is a great camera that has amazing features! its very rare for sony to make a camera with a flip out screen and have a halogen light on it! A small tip from my experience with these night vision cameras is that the 1997 handycams have the best Nightvision strength, I own a TR716 (which was recalled for its super strong night vision) and its amazing for productions, If you would like to see the camera in action I made a video on a separate channel for my highschool class called CCHS RETREAT 2024 (EXPLICIT) Skip to 9:40 and you will see how good it is! I just got another TR716 for $27 on ebay due to my old one getting severely water damaged in the rain at a party. Now why is the 1997 handycam line better? Sony was forced by the fcc to Lower the strength of the night vision due to the older models being able to see through thin clothing if you had a certain infared filter on the camera. Hence why my 2000 digital8 handycam has a very weak infared compared to my 1997 the comaprison is crazy, the 1997 handycam can light up your full frame perfectly while the 2000s one hardly can light up anything more than the middle of your shot. The Best night vision cameras would be the TR 716 (color viewfinder but no screen) The TRV 65 from 1998 (has screen but no halogen light) and any earlier sony handycams before 1998 that had night vision. The best part is that these cameras use the amazing Sony Infolithium L Batteries which still last for hours! I have 2 that work perfectly for 7 hours straight! They are very available and very long lasting

Hey, for the future put your audio into mono mode so it is balanced on the headset. I only hear audio on the right side.

Seriously great vid, love the quality. OBS seems to pick up my camcorder's audio just fine, but the video isn't being displayed. I'm using the exact same settings and equipment you're using. Any idea why? I'm hoping its just an AV jack issue and so I ordered a new one if thats the case, but if you got any other ideas lmk

VHS and Hi8 is completely different. VHS is not a name like jeep seems to be for all offroadvehicles (which it also is not) .
