Reminds me of being 8 years old, roaming the trailer court on my big-wheel, and suddenly hearing "Hawaiian music", and suddenly we all "cut a big donut across the whole street and blow a big jump across the speed-bump", my ears led me to an old guy who lived across the street. Seen him before, saw his HUGE car (some old early 70's Cadillac, I think: Lost Navy aircraft kept trying to land on it, it was so big! And this on the eastern border of Kansas!) and suddenly he's sitting outside playing steel guitar, as if it's just a normal thing people do!. My friends and I froze. We sat there leaned up against his chain-link fence just watching and listening. It was something to hear! Wish to hell I could talk to the guy now! Still, hearing this spurs old memories into sticking around, and that alone is worth it. Bonus: Junior Brown is also good at his picking!
@@StevenCumming-qp2be Roy Clark was a phenomenal and multitalented musician to say the least! I think what makes Junior great is his eclectic variety of styles he plays, his guitar chops, and that he improvs the majority of his live playing.
This is one of the best blues songs EVER … junior brown is just amazing. Showmanship out the wazooo …. And the chops on the guitsteel ….. son……… all I can saw is wow… and what an easy gig for a drummer. lol
As great as Junior is on anything he plays and in any style he chooses, his wife, Tanya Rae, is an absolute metronome! She keeps better time than the drummer. What a perfect pairing. Classic guy and classy lady. Easy on the ears and eyes.
Man, there are some sterling blues licks in there. I love the way he starts singing right on time, on key, in the middle of a guitar lick. Junior is a throwback to when country music had personality and style.
Amen brother. Junior Brown does not get the recognition he deserves. Funny and an amazing musician. Besides good country (not the swill you hear from the generic truck commercial sound today) he plays some mean surfing riffs.
He is just not a faker. And people want copycat country today. Himble and highly skilled. I am a huge fan. But its not progreesive nough for most country now. Shame
The old double neck biscuit board, i love it
He just walks on and slap that thing down on the stand! 01:20
If you’re really good, they kick you off the Grand Ole Opry, just like ol’ Hank Williams!
Drive too fast

A far cry from the "corporate and western" era Reba ushered in.... Thanks Ophra...lol😂
Jr. is great and that Tanya Rae is a looker.
Roy Clark is still the best guitar player

I like Highway Patrol.
This is real country music. Today's country music is only CMINO, Country Music In Name Only.
Nobody does it like the pride of cottonwood Arizona JB, the best of all time.
HE WOULD MAKE A ROCK AND ROLL GUETARES LOOK SILLY. GOD BLESS HIM HE IS GOOD.
👍
I'm so glad we have UA-cam so we can see just how great country music used to be.
Wow, great stuff. What a performance.
Sound balance is off!
Nobody cares when it's fun.
one of kind---great voice and musical talent
Junior is definitely and icon in the country music industry! one the greatest
THERE HAS BEEN MURDER ON MUSIC ROLL, BUT JUNIOR BROWN AND OTHERS STILL MAKE IT HAPPEN TO MAKE REAL COUNTRY MUSIC.
Love that taco hat

Love it!
I would describe J B as Jimi Hendrix meets Ernest Tubb
He should team up with Post-mpdern Jukebox or Brian Setzer
I didn't care for county music much until I heard jr Brown😊
Now I see where SRV got his licks.
Un gars hors du commun il n'hésite pas à jouer sur la clef de tête 😮👍et revient sur le manche ☺️
Just goes to show you how a true artist sounds the same in person as they do on a studio recording.
Extremely unique sound, one of a kind artist. His wife is an extremely talented rythum guitarists. Props to both of them.
Live forever, Junior and Tanya Raye!

I used to get joe diffie and jeff foxworthy confused
Applause in the first 30 sec at the Grand ole Opry, I'd say he won their respect.
Can someone explain to me why this guy wasn’t a huge star , this to me is country music
Is huge star to those who get it
