"Colet & Company" Jingle from "Trouble in Paradise" (1932)
Wonderful jingle for the fictional "Colet & Company" from the pre-code masterpiece from 1943: "Trouble in Paradise," directed by the great Master, Ernst Lubitsch, and featuring Herbert Marshall, Miriam Hopkins and Kay Francis - all absolutely perfect in their roles.

Moving scene (to me, anyway), masterfully acted by Rod Steiger and Sidney Poitier, where Chief Gillespie reveals to Tibbs the state of his life.

Painful scene from The Deer Hunter (a film with many painful scenes) with Nick at the US Army Hospital in Saigon. A moving depiction of profound psychological and spiritual agony... Christopher Walken totally deserved his Oscar for his performance in the film.

The powerful scene between Homer and Wilma towards the end of "The Best Years of our Lives" (1946) where he shows her what it would be like for her to marry him with his disability. Considered by many (including me) one of the most moving scenes in movies, especially from Hollywood's Golden Age. "Sad Sunday" & "Farewell Sister Lugori"; The Trouble with Angels Original Soundtrack

This post combines two musical cues from The Trouble with Angels soundtrack, composed by Jerry Goldsmith: "Sad Sunday" & "Farewell Sister Lugori". These were originally posted seperately but as they are both a part of a single larger scene, and to many the most moving and heartbreaking scene in the film, I feel they belong together. The original posts have been removed from public access.

From the 1935 film of A Midsummer Nights Dream: the final ballet sequence of the fairies, featuring Danish dancer Nini Theilad, who died in 2018 at the tender age of 102. Nini devoted her life to dance: as a dancer, choreographer, and, when in her 50's, in founding a dance school. There are numerous posts on UA-cam regarding this special dance artist, worth checking out.

From the 2004 Jean-Pierre Jeunet film, "A Very Long Engagement", with Audrey Tautou and Gaspard Uilliel, who was tragically killed in 2022 in a skiing accident (I believe). IMHO, a perfect ending to this film - and one of the most moving endings in all film.

Très belle scène finale Il ne se souvient pas d elle 😢😢😢 elle pleure de joie de l avoir retrouvé sain et sauf avec les horreurs de la guerre Il se souvient pas non plus de cette guerre
Someone should use AI and redo this movie with Sean Connery!!
Please - no references to AI in any post of mine...
What a beautiful Melody... In my personal list of possibly the most beautiful, sublime melodies/soundtrack suites.. In no particular order - Romeo and Juliet - Nino Rota for Franco Zefirelli's Romeo and Juliet - We Have All the Time in the World - John Barry - Goldfinger - John Barry - The Godfather - Nino Rota I think these 4 soundtracks have some of the most beautiful + tragic + sublime melodies
I’m not crying, you’re crying.
I love the string parts here!
Agreed.
Lazenby absolutely nailed that movie, he's not in the best of health now. God bless him and the late Diana Rigg
TRACEY
RIP Diana Rigg
❤❤PERFECT ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ 👌 😍 ❤ 😅THE 😮😅😊😢😮😅😅😊😮❤
DAVVERO!!!!
Nós temos todo tempo do mundo...
VA BENE!!!!
DAVVERO!!!!
Only John Barry could Orchestrate like this
Poignantly this composition also signifies Money Penny's lament.💙😥🤭 RIP Lois Maxwell ❤🙏
I wore out my 8-track of this Fabulous soundtrack in 1969. Always felt that this melody one day be more appreciated.❤🤗
So beautiful!❤❤❤
Devastatingly lovely. She could do no wrong. Jo is forever!
Those beautiful strings 🥹
"Who knows Rev. Mother. Maybe someday Rachel will join the order." "...if she does...I QUIT." XD
J Barry, genius
This is an unbelievable fact ..... the James Bond producers wanted to sign George Lazenby to film several more new Bond movies, actually they offered George a seven-movie deal, but brainless George listened to his horrible and idiot agent who highly recommended for him not to agree and sign the new contract. This is the reason why George Lazenby made just one single James Bond movie. I think it was George's worst and most devastating mistake of his entire career.
Thanks !
You're welcome!
linda música
The only Bond who truly loved. The only Bond film that made me cry. And this piece at the end of No Time To Die was perfect.
Apparently, the nuns must have sung three more Christmas songs, in that chapel scene, which were excluded in the film. The original soundtrack, VERY rare, was remastered amd rereleased by Intrada Special Collections in 2015 (not sold at Amazon or uploaded anywhere to hear I can find). That release has the films 49 music tracks, taken off either the film master or original film music master. It includes Deck the Halls, Joy to the World, and one other Christmas song I can’t remember, at the end. They were music outtakes, bring the track total to 52 songs. If you can find that out of print CD, new, packaged, it is easily worth over $200 on the collectible market. The cover matches THIS cover. You do not want the blue, modern graphic, 2015 release (it omits this song, by the way).
Interesting - hadn't heard about that. I'm just grateful to have found this one that had more music than the standard release if I recall.
I must be be getting old(er)...Actually, I have all the contents of the release you are talking about, including the extra Christmas carols. I'm not finding the actual CD (it must be around somewhere), but I had copied the cuts on to my computer. I remember paying a bit for it - under $100, but I just saw it online for between $174 (eBay) and $496 (Amazon). I guess people like it.
"Away In The Manger" is the 3rd song included as an extra on the soundtrack. All three are used during the visit to senior womens' residence. The girls sing "Deck The Halls", while "Joy To The World" and "Away In The Manger" are used as background music as the scene goes along. I bought a copy of the Intrada soundtrack cd on ebay quite a few years ago, and for alot less than what it is going for now. Merry Christmas!
拝聴している間何故か涙が止まりませんでした。貴重な歌声をリアルに聴けた方々、その奇跡と思い出を大切になさってください。😊
This is one of the most beautiful recordings ever made. And so, of course, it is largely unappreciated by the general public.
I agree! Our world needs more of this calming music.
Scathingly, Brilliant Movie. Hard Not to Fall in Love with Hayley Mills. Saw this Movie in the Theatre back in the 60s.
This album is a treasure! Thanks for posting
Luv it forever, something perfect 😊
Very beautiful! 😊💕Thank you!
Nice.
Nice.
The first Christmas music we put on every year as we trim the tree. I have this album in nearly every format - LP, cassette, CD, iTunes and now UA-cam. Christmas would never be the same without this album.
They say that this 1969 episode was about the only girl Bond ever really fell in love with. That's why I chose to play this at my wife's funeral as my one and only love of my life.
That's so beautiful ❤
@@justincase6645 Break your heart ❤️
❤❤❤
So beautiful. I loved the movie but cried at the ending.
Sublime inspiração musical.
Es zerreißt einen fast das Herz!!!.......so eine schöne Melodie!..... 😭😭😭
THEY SING THIS!!!!!!!
The bewilderment sounds of disillusion , the strings melody just speaks so much, i think this is the culmination of Johns Barry's Bond
I'm crying. As I've lost the man I originally had to sickness and more..... life is closing its doors soon .. I see it.
Beautiful composition... stunning. 💗💖... life passes so quickly, we don't realize this till we get near the ending.
You are so right..I just wonder where the last 75 years of my life have gone...way too fast
@555shortstop think of the both. The beautiful and not so beautiful.. But especially all the love you have known. God bless you.❤
theres something a little nostalgic about the main melody
You bet!
