This happens to people of color often and they have no recourse because, their family member is not the owner, they( the racist) turn it around making it seem that they (customers) are the problem. I totally agree that we should not be treated according to skin color, religion or geographical origins, but why is such a case made only when the victims are other than whites? Why do we remain silent when whites are discriminated against? Why don't we see examples of how whites are treated by "the others"? Or is racism to be condemned only if it comes from the direction of whites and not the other way around? I'm "whitey" as I was called by an americam, European not US citizen and more than once I was treated with disrespect in American airports, with the same arrogance as the officer from the video with the only difference being the color of the respective officer's skin. I’ve had this sort of thing happen to me. I left one counter and went to another and made the salesperson at the first counter cry over how much money I spent at the second.

This is so sad but this is how we are actually treated I used to go to Marshall's up at lochraven and Taylor ave, the little Caucasian manager would always come where I was and act like he was working ( the same as we had to do at CVS for shoplifters) I used to start talking to him lol he would leave but there were now 2 loss prevention guys watching me, I just always laughed and gave them a real job to do !!!!
