2009 Chevrolet Suburban EASY remote FOB relearn
Переглядів 584 місяці тому
This procedure is for relearning remotes for a 2009 Chevy Suburban. I'm sure this will work for other models and the other GM brands that have the same options buttons on the dash. I think 2007-2010 is the year range. This is a very simple relearn and the remotes can be had for cheap all over the web. The remotes used in this video are not for paid advertising, I just bought them from a random ...
Ford V8 5.4 Triton blown out spark plug repair
Переглядів 4588 місяців тому
This shows one of a few kits available being used to repair a blown out spark plug on the Ford Triton engines which are the 4.6, 5.4, and 6.8 V10. This kit is one of the cheapest and simplest to use. Another kit and one of the best available for these engines is the one made by Cal-Van Tools but it is more involved. You need more tools and access to compressed air.
Dodge Ram Promaster BCM B10AA-4A blind spot
Переглядів 1,1 тис.8 місяців тому
B10AA-4A isn't specific to the blind spot module. It means that a component within the BCMs factory configuration network is not the same as the original. I suggest attempting a PROXI/PROCSI alignment first and if there is a module that's not correct it should tell you which one is failing or not currently configured. I ended up getting a friend at the dealer to program the blind spot module as...

Thanks for the help!
Anytime thanks for watching
Great work! I know this an old video, but I wanted to know if you can do 40+40+50 angle on a used block to get 130 degrees. on a 3.6 jeep wrangler, Thanks!
You could if you want as long as the end result is the same amount of angle. The angles stretch the bolt into their plastic range, giving the most tensile strength but also why they are only supposed to be used once.
@@DiamondStarWerks I appreciate the fast response, I was worrying about this angle deal not having an expensive torque wrench, I'm using torque Angle Meter gauge, Happy New Years to you!😊
@@edfreire5520 no need for for anything fancy, you can just make marks with a marker on the bolt and head for your angles if you want. Doesn't have to be exact. There is margin for error
@@DiamondStarWerks Thanks for the help, I try to do the 40+90 but never made it to the 0-to-90-degree angle all the way 😃 at 65 years old, maybe I just don't have the power in my arms anymore 😂🤣😂 Thanks again and God bless!
Just be aware folks that these issues, thought to be caused by the TIPM, are usually nothing more than loose grounds externally bonded to the chassis in various locations under the hood. This is the case time and again but the TIPM seems to be the "go to" for replacement and oftentimes frustrates the home mechanic by producing the same errors and symptoms following the replacement. A very expensive replacement at that! Additionally, be aware that not all TIPM's are the same. They are model year, trim, and options specific. They are programmed differently depending on the options you have in your vehicle. A good example would be the PT Convertible is programmed to have a special power window closing sequence that the ordinary hardtop PT does not have. The TURBO TIPM differs from the non-Turbo, etc. A good source and 'go to' for more than a single opinion, as this is in this thread, is the Chrysler online forum "Allpar". Some very knowledgeable people there and some varied findings for issues like this. It's not always the TIPM. I'm not saying this guy didn't fix the problem I'm saying that many times they believe so only to have the same issue rear its ugly head later on....
Would it be included under warranty by any chance?
thanks for the video, I was checking the torque spects on shopkey/prodemand and I was a bit skeptical about it.
Does anyone know the part numbers to the rubber hoses that go to the firewall? I broke the connectors on mine trying to take them off
Does anyone know the part numbers to the rubber hoses that go to the firewall? I broke the connectors on mine trying to take them off
You went all in on this repair! Not my problem today, probably sooner than later, it will be. This was very informative. Thanks for making this video. I’m sure it will come in handy! You’re a true champ!👍💯💯💯
Is there a possibility this could damage the ECU or OBD port ?
Should be fine as long as you do it correctly and use appropriate size jumper pins.
U1345 just popped up on my chevy 2018 malibu and also u01b0 and losing power
Test your battery and make sure it's good. Then test the battery monitor sensor. You'd likely need a lab scope to check the signal line on pin 1. Should have power on pin 2 red/white from fuse 4 at the battery fuse box. U1345 is a comm fault with Lin bus 1 which is likely due to the battery current sensor that's causing the U01b0. It's not uncommon for that sensor to fail.
@DiamondStarWerks thank you !!
N20 is in 328i in Canada. Nice video. What was the mileage of the car when needed a pump change?
Is pug and play?, or need adaptations
Not plug and play for sure. Need transmission adapter and some wiring mod
Does the battery need to be disconnected?
No
Quick Question: you said that you are a turbo enthusiast. I am trying to figure out how to twin charge my 2007 Cadillac STS-V. I want to keep the supercharger, and add two turbos so I can run a twin charged system. Any ideas of what would be the best course of action or layout to make this happen? Your help is much appreciated. Thank you.
Do the 21 and up with the DFM have the same failure rate as the previous DOD and AFM?
Not as far as I've seen, only the earlier failures which were all covered under warranty. From what I can tell it was just a bad batch of lifters. After replacement they didn't fail again
@ I hope so. I’ve got a 21 Yukon with no problems so far. 115k
@@jwhmerica504 best thing is to use a good brand of oil and don't change it, change oil every 5k, and keep an eye on your oil pressure. The thing that killed the old ones was oil pressure drop due to internal leaks or failed relief valves
@ I just got the vehicle so I’m not sure of its history but seems to be running very well. My plan was to run Pennzoil UP in the recommended 0W20 and a royal purple filter. And go 5k intervals. I normally change just before 5k to not go over.
Thanks!! This video saved me a lot of headaches and money! ❤
I appreciate your support and I'm so glad it helped you!
A cosa serve l attuatore per la chiusura apertura porte?
Hi I am in Australia and I am going to do this swap can you use the 2.5 from any Mazda in the same year group I have a Mazda 3 and was wondering if a 2.5 from a cx7 with vvt would be compatible thanks in advance
Okay so is it the gear or the oil control valve because it is not supposed to spew oil out
It's the gear.
a bit confussing as my model is 2013 but i torque to head bolts to 130 degree after assemble, i find coolant still leak in the engine. i plan now is to tighten it to 140 degree hope that will fix the issue
Should be 22#, 33#, 70*, 70*. If your new headgasket isn't sealing then the gasket either it got scratched or your could be head warped. Was the head machined? Or did you get a new one?
Based on my understanding of these you can either take the Manuel transmission from a Chrysler crossfire and it will just bolt on or you can buy adapters and stuff and have a 350z transmission.
This one is running the 350z transmission
Could i do this with my cls?
I don't see why not if of the same year and engine range
BRO! You took off WAY too much.
I did yes but it made it easier to see and film
and if your doing it right those lines should be rusted so badly that even looking at them creates a leak. I get some people take really good care of their cars but keeping a brvada s10 blazer sonoma in show room condition is weak and not economical. my return lines are rusted and collapsed non functional still runs great wiht only a feed
Thank you, I had AC but no heat and after checking the heater hoses and feeling that they were both hot, I narrowed it down to the blend door actuator. I watched your video and was able to replace it in 30 minutes and now I have AC and heat again.
Happy to help!
I have a Question!
Ask it
@@DiamondStarWerks so how high were you off the gas fumes after you got done changing that tank? 😆 🤣 😂
It didn’t work 🙂↔️
What issue are you trying to fix? What year is your Kia Sportage? And do you have dual temp controls?
@@DiamondStarWerksdrivers side gets hot (the right one is not as hot but still warm) and the passenger side is cold no matter what. It’s a 2017 and yes it has dual control.
@katiewalker5607 There are two of these. One on each side for dual temp. If the pass side temp doesn't change you have to change the other one on that side. The one shown here is for the driver side temp control.
@@DiamondStarWerksokay. I’ll take it all apart tomorrow and try it out. Is it in the same location on the other side?
@katiewalker5607 drive.google.com/file/d/1OPC_7DNG5wMgJnZ1GCExF5neaN712oqe/view?usp=drivesdk
Would you be able to record a video on how to replace the vvt gears? I have the same issue. I replaced the intake and exhaust solenoids with OEM GM parts, problem went away for a while, but now once a while it would stall when car is warm and change from park to drive/reverse. Once it starts to stall, I give it gas and it would stop it. If I let it run rough it throws the P0011 code. I replaced the intake solenoid just incase it was defective, but no change.
Hi ! In order to change the turbos on this, does the engine or subframe have to come out ? Thank you
With the turbos being on top, I do believe that you can change them in the car no problem. You do not have to drop the engine on the frame.
@@DiamondStarWerks thank you so much ! I thought it wasnt the case to drop the subframe as in the case of the 335i which has considerable less space to work in the engine compartment.
Why can’t it be simple?
Ask myself that everyday
Thank you I just got doing this job myself and because of this video I didn't destroy any panels as I usually would have LoL
Bro thanks so much really thank you
What are the green and orange fuses for ? And should they have voltage ?
Nice job but the glare.
Great video man appreciate the insight
What size o rings did you replace
I replaced the hole tube. Comes with new o-rings so idk what the size is exactly.
I want to personally thank you. My brother fixed my heat because of your video. I'm his sister who 🤩😘😊is forever grateful to you and him!
I have a stuck lifter on cylinder 7. Are y’all saying that if I go ahead and spend the money on the complete AFM delete that the motor will still not be As reliable as the one I had in my 2001 Sierra? I had almost 350,000 miles on that baby.
Yes it should be, with or without arm delete. Most afm failures on the older style were due to loss of oil pressure from the relief valve wearing out both on oil pump and the the one on the oil pan, as well as the gasket on the lifter plate leaking internally, or poor Maintenance clogging the lifter oil filter under the sensor. What you see in this video is a result from a bad batch of lifters GM got, typically all replaced under warranty and the problem didn't return.
How do i bleed it?
Just turn the key on for 5 seconds, repeat off then on for 5 sec on 3 times.
What was the reason to replace?
Battery drain I believe
@@DiamondStarWerks mine works intermittently i believe due to corrosion, can’t wait to get it out and have a look at wires. Thanks for responding as quickly….
@@DiamondStarWerksalso did the info transfer over to the new cluster
I think I coded it but not sure if it was actually needed since it came from the same year car. Can easily be done with ista d or just about any decent scanner. Coding isn't programming, more or less just telling the module what car it's in.
Someone must've been high that day when they installed it the first time... It looks like it was installed upside in the first place. The words should be upright, not upside down. Thanks, I'm checking mine right now. ❤
It would be nice if you said what the problem was in the description, I'm trying to find how to test the tipm for a fuel pump not transmission
Just did this fix on a 2022 Yukon with 6.2L. Took a couple hours but got it fixed. Was exact same wire this guy found.
Amazing, likely this will become common with trucks aging
Hi, please tell me what you do regarding a BL Touch? Do I have to install one or do I use the existing leveling system with the TM3D firmware?
I have not installed one before but I am pretty sure the TM3D firmware can use it. There is an option for it within the settings. I believe there should be some instructions somewhere on Reddit
How do u connect the lines back they keep coming off
Did you remove the plastic clips from the old filter and place them back into the lines before connecting to the new filter? If so and they still pop off after clicking into place then they may be messed up, you can get new ones from the parts store. I think they are a help item.
@@DiamondStarWerks thanks brother i will let u know tomorrow
Does the motor require 12v or 5v?
12v, normally 5v is reserved for sensor references. Most all electric motors controlling anything on a car will use 12v as this will reduce the amp requirements over 5v. More volts available = less amps required to do the same job.
Makes perfect sense thank you this helps me greatly. @@DiamondStarWerks
Good to know. Thank you. Great job. 👍
