Outstanding kit. Great ideas. Only thing i would suggest is a bottle sleeve for your everyday water bottle/coffee thermos. When things get squirely, we all get thristy.

I used to use the railroads to travel past curfew as a teenager. Amazing how efficient they are for travel on foot. Good shout

I would add some tabacco products/airplane bottles of alcohol. Great bartering tools and a way to clean wounds.

Once wet and cold in a city, I stuffed my clothes with crumpled newspapers and used plastic rubbish bag to block the wind and rain.

you could have drown, you got wet, you said you didn't change your underwear.. you don't watch crotch rot. You didn't eat when you have expended countless calories in rigorous exercise the night previous and you have more to do to get home. I don't know how safe it is to follow any of what you're doing.. it's bad news.

I’m in Ukraine right now, and have been in two other SHTF situations in Greece and Germany myself. One thing you mentioned which I consider as absolutely crucial is a physical map of your surroundings. We have a brain fog from all the Internet and GPS services. We barely know our neighborhoods and city anymore. While my dad used to know every street by name and every shop, I can barely navigate by name of the street. The first thing to go down will be GPS and Internet.

Very good system! I have quite a few different MOLLE type small bags and pouches, that I mainly use for this. Some drybags too (my father used to sell them), one big for clothes and several smaller ones for charger and valuables and such. I have two backpacks, one Berghaus Vulcan from the army, and a medium Savotta Jääkäri. The Berghaus can fit pretty much any and every gear I have, the Savotta can take what's mostly necessary. I can basically pour everything from my Savotta + more into the Berghaus, and be ready to go in about a minute if necessary. I also have some 2 different setups of clothes ready the same way. At least in theory... 😂

The bubble wrap, while being a good insulator, could “pop” when the bubbles are compressed, which is concerning. It could alert others around you are not aware of in the same building/area and attract unwanted attention.

Simple alarm-take some broken glass (larger pieces) that are flat and place them under a newspaper or debris-place the newspaper in an unsuspicious/innocuous position that also requires whoever comes across the path, to step on the newspaper. The cracking of the breaking/crushing glass is a very effective alarm! It should wake you up/startle you so you can grab your stuff and get out of the room quickly.

I’d carry a gun. No matter legal or illegal.

You can also hide your sling under your jacket if your jacket is large enough

Great kit! I’ll use a low profile fanny pack instead of the sling though and a regular pepper spray instead of the pistol looking one. Also maybe try to carry everything in pockets/belt, use cargo pants, shirts with chest/arms pockets, a smock if it’s chilly.

Good little kit! How do you keep hydrated with this kit? Running/hiking/marching and exerting energy is going to make someone thirsty. Even if you come across a “potable” water source, you might want to keep some kind of container 🫙 to hold water in. If you come across a questionable water source, you can use a filter or water purification tablets to make it safe(r) to drink.

That gas mask isn't gonna help you with that big beard compromising the seal around your face. (Beard is very cool though)

Add some ziplock bags and water purification tabs......
