Same boat Max. Updated to 1.7.7. It was broken. Updated 1.7.8. It seems to also to be broken. 1.7.6 for me was working but like you fell off considerably last couple days.

Of course because i was just praising them with SOAT last night on all four 3090’s having jobs now i shut two of them off and about to be all four shut off

Mine has been dead for about two weeks. 3090 rigs / 1tb nvme / 64gb ram / 8 core or 12 core CPUs. 1gb fiber. Crazy....

My salad rigs still profitable, only update 3 out of 7 and I think they release another update to 1.7.8.

FYI Max I have 13 wyze camera's around my house and they now have a night time feature built in and the clarity has improved with the v4 square camera and for the battery powered ones outside. I have also setup a bunch of this in my town with everyone being happy with them. You can not beat the price and they are always making them better.

Great to see you mentioned northwestrepair. I watch his stream all the time. He had one not too long ago that had a bad vapor chamber. Upon closer inspection you could see some pitting in the metal. It was just a bad metal poor from the start prior to machining. Also since you have quite a few gpus. It will serve you well to get a pasta roller. Then you can grab 3mm and roll it down to size as needed. Super handy and saves some money! I see at 1hr20 min you get there. Since you don’t feel heat at the fins and it’s those pipes that transfer I think you have found your culprit.

Merry Xmas!! Need a microscope and look close at where it mates with the gpu. I’ll bet they ground it down too far surfacing it flat and left a microscopic hole. If the vapor in the chamber is lost. It renders the heat sink pretty useless. I think you are onto something there for sure. If you have a way to heat up the heat sink. Maybe an old toaster over @200 degrees for 20 min. Then submerge it in hot water until it both cools down heatsink and water. Then dry it off and shake it after and see if you can hear water rattling around inside. The drop in temp will suck the water into any holes you may not be able to see. Backside of heat pipe etc!

Merry Christmas! 🎄 I have a pile of those ibm. Xt keyboards. Went to eBay and I can’t understand 4-500$. I may need to part ways with a chunk of them. I’ve got several complete 8088’s 286’s etc. Also have many complete apple 2e’s. My dad had a good friend that worked at korte construction. They were tasked with removing all the pc’s in Monterey mine in Carlinville Illinois. We ended up with a garage full of ibm 8088 286 etc. I mean a crazy amount. It’s where I kickstarted learning computers in late 80’s. Also still have a few complete apple 2 e from when Carlinville high school burnt down. My dad got many computers that were burnt. We were able to save quite a few. It got me knee deep into computing at quite an early age. Good luck on that Octoserver. Could see a bit of a downturn until after first of new year. A lot of settlement happening this time of year In preps for new year. Appreciate the info on the taxes!
