2013年6月22（土）、京都、「菊乃井」さんで行われた『五花街の夕べ』にて。 This is a dance of maiko named Fukuharu,belong to Gion-East,at Japanese restaurant Kikunoi,27ｔｈ June 2013. C'est une dance de la maiko qui s'appelle Fukuharu dépend du Gion-Est. (27ème juin 2013,Restaurant Japonais Kikunoi à Kyoto.)

Spanky Horse 私は花街の人間ではないので正確かは分かりませんが、芸妓さんのお着物は「黒留袖(くろとめそで)」というものだったと思います！

黒紋付きは「本衣装」、黒紋付き以外の座敷着は「替衣装」、稽古などの時に着る一般的な着物は「そんなり」ですね❥

+H Tamu thank you Tamu, i hope they will dance it next year during the Gion Odori.. Then I will be there.. :) I will try to find a version of this music online
The first song is called Momiji No Hashi (紅葉の橋) and I’ve seen it called Bridge of Autumn Leaves in English translations of the title. The second song is called Gion Higashi Kouta (祇園東小唄) I think translated into English the title would be Ballad of Gion Higashi or Little Song of Gion Higashi. I haven’t been able to find recordings of these tho 😔
Edie &Andy Thank you.. since I posted this question 5 years ago I found the names of the titles when I was in Japan.. I did find a recording from Momijo no hashi, although it’s a different version than the one they are playing in this video.. In Miyagawacho at the Kyo Odori they used to sell an album with traditional music that the maiko and geiko use when they perform at public places without live music. As for the Gion Higashi Kouta I couldn’t find any recordings. As far as I know Gion Higashi hasn’t produced any album of the music they use to sell at the dance festivals.
sashdi did you happen to get a name of the album you mentioned? I’m quite interested because I knew they sometimes used recorded music instead of live music so obviously there are recordings of the songs, I just can’t find them lol

Thank you for your comment. According to the pamphlet the Geiko who appeared are Hinagiku,Masayo,Tsunemomo and Miharu. The Maiko who appeared are Kanoka,Kanoyumi,Ryouka and Masaho.
Thank you for your comment. The 1st song is called "Echigo Jishi". Echigo is a name of the ancient times of Niigata Prefecture. It is said that a long time ago, a child's entertainer is covered with the helmet which carried out the form of the lion, does an art at the towns.
