I’ve not had good luck with those ASC mags either
I bought a Ruger American Gen 2 in 243 right before deer season, I was having feeding issues also. So when I got back home, I discovered that the problem was the bolt was sliding across and making contact with the top part of magazine and that was what was causing it to bind up. This was extremely frustrating being this was a brand new gun, it seems like this problem slipped through the QC…. Not good. That being said, I absolutely love the gun.
Great rifle I own 2. Made in my home state of Florida and EXCELLENT customer service. My first one I got I bent the gas tube by accident and I contacted them for replacement and they sent me a brand new gas tube and BCG overnight free of charge.

Take your magazine apart and turn the spring 180 degrees. Sometimes those mags nose dive on last round that should fix it

I've been using a 6.5 grendel for a while. It's probably not a rifle problem. Push the rounds out of the mag with your finger and I bet you will notice the bullets hanging up on the front edge of the magazine in front of the follower. Take a Dremel, or file and relieve that area about an eighth of an inch. I had the same problem, and this fixed it.
Thats feeding issue is definitely a Ruger problem. Duramags are the gold standard for Grendel, nothing comes close.

I think 6.5 can be used for big-game hunting. Maybe not grindel, but 6.5 Creedmoor could do the jop for a deer
100% it can. I shot an elk with a 6.5 creedmor but it has to be a great and well placed shot! Aim small always!

15-20 in/lbs is all that’s needed for scope base. All scope base manufacturers only recommend 15-20 in/lbs

Hey now Mr.C.O., I have the same metal Dura mag that was supplied with my Ruger ranch 6.5 Grendel in FDE (plus 2 additional Dura mags) and had the same feeding issues. There is a video on You Tube that showed one way to remedy that feeding problem! Go to the top, front area of the mag and put an arc or square it off down about an 1/8"-1/4" with a dremel and it should remove the problem. I noticed that with the spring tension pushing upward pressure on the follower, it makes the bottom of the bullet ride on the front, top wall of the mag and won't allow a round to feed into the chamber smoothly or push the front of the round upward/downward hitting around the chamber hole!!! Another thing to check is to see if the spring on inside of mag is in correctly. It may need to be turned from front to back to put pressure on the follower correctly. And the last round usually is the worst to feed in, if at all!!! A little upward pressure on the front part of mag helps in the feed in. With these metal, AR types of mags the rounds are staggered tight together under spring tension and with pressure at the back of the mag on the back of the round and front bullet rubbing, feeding gets rough to say the least!!! After a little research I came across and did buy 2ea. Amend 2 mags which are of a polymer material. They, at the top, turn the first 2 rounds into a single stack.You might want to try these. they worked for my setup. Man this right here is amazing feedback. I had a customer who ordered one not a week ago and I did just that in the filling after just really studying how the bolt face was striking and it did better but I will for sure be ordering one of these other mags to try it out! I have the 7mmprc in the x bolt speed .4 moa with 170 terminal ascent I have the apa muzzle break z6 swarovski most accurate gun I have ever owned. I had to run 2 boxes through mine and clean it several times before it would group something to keep in mind good luck

I am not particularly a fan of the lever action rifle. We prefer bolt action but there are certainly applications where the lever action is more practical and effective. Especially in the bush or with close quarter charging animals.
I have had 3 grendels, a bolt action and 2 AR's. I could never get good accuracy with factory ammo or hand loads.

Thanks for the video. Feeding from the magazines has always been an issue with Ruger American rifles. Every one of them I’ve seen, in any caliber. Ruger doesn’t seem to care. Other than that, they are excellent rifles for the money and more accurate than one would expect for the money.

You should be able to fix the mag feeding issue by removing one or two coils from the spring. This is a known issue even with the Gen1.

@@codywhitmire8850 removing the springs did help some but taking a file and beveling down the angle of the raised plastic piece on the bottom plate helped a lot as well.
I really wish that the ranch version had the predator colors. I love the Gen 2 predator's awesome tri color style and I love the Ranch's compactness.

FYI, the .308 and 6.5 cm are not the same case.( The .260 rem is a necked down .308 though).

After a few hundred rounds through mine I'm super happy. Not a a single hiccup with multiple gr rounds of different brands. Eats anything you put on it and is surprisingly accurate for the money.
