I've heard you comment in several videos about having a hard time connecting with characters in books, and I believe I heard you mention in one video that you were listening at like 3x speeds. I can't help but wonder if the two things are connected. I can't imagine connecting emotionally to a book when it is being read so fast that you can barely hear it. even at 2x, I would struggle to really feel like I had a grasp on everything that is happening

How to Solve Your Own Murder is the only one of these i read and i didn't love it either. There were interesting moments, but i felt that the present timeline was very underdeveloped and some character motivations didn't make sense to me

Thursday Murder Club is so good but I didn't like We solve Murders!

From what I know of your taste, I was pretty sure you wouldn't like God of the Woods--that and All the Colors of the Dark were some of my favorite books of 2024, but they're definitely more like historical fiction with a mystery subplot. Honestly, I'm pumped to read more like them this year, hopefully 😅
