This is probably the most curious thing I've found in my years of VHS hunting. This is from a recording of an NBA game broadcast in Malaysia, turning up at the end of a tape filled with Australian recordings.
It's Game 4 of the Western Semifinal Playoffs between the Lakers and Portland. They've just reached Halftime and the score is 59-49 Trail Blazers. We briefly leave CBS Sports' coverage into a locally made break bumper. Then we get two Benson & Hedges ads in a row and then back to the game. From memory these were the only ads on this tape, the whole thing was only like 20 minutes before the tape ran out.
The B&H ads are clearly played from film and are very 80's. Love that synth tune.
